Recommended Posts

Thank you.Ppl rlly need to get th idea of yearly kh releases outta their head.Nomura wants to release a nu kh a year, but lets make KH3 the exception.Once kh2.5 remix is out,its GONNA b a while b4 we see another installment.I want to experience kh3 too,but not if the final product is a bad result of yearly releases...(lookin at u COD and Assassin's Creed)

I don't think it's crazy. But I am betting a more late release if it does come out in 2015. I wish it would come out in the US at the same time it does in japan (and everywhere else in the world)

It's definitely going to take at least a year for them to get out of the early development stage. I wonder how much time kh2.5 is taking from kh3 since both games are being worked on simultaneously. I am excited of the news there will be something new to see in kh2.5.

I wonder what those new things will include story wise.

I think ff15 taking awhile was mostly because of the ps3 was not strong enough for what they had in mind, at least visually.

Ff15 looks like it might get a release date announcement in 2014 and would not surprise me to see it sometime in 2015. Probably not earlier than that, but it's hard to say.

I want KH3 to be amazing. Which is why I am actually happy it is on the PS4, now that we have a taste of what it will look like, which is freaking awesome!!

It wouldn't be a a yearly release. If it comes out in Q4 2015 then that'll be about 3-ish years. Therefore if it comes out in 2016 then it'll be 4-ish years which would be off of a regular amount of time to make a great game.

FF15 will probably release late next year in Japan, and mid 2015 in the west. KH3 will release late 2015 in Japan, and mid 2016 in the west. That's what I'm hoping, at least.

No. Big games like these do not get half a year difference in release to the rest of the world.

I think it might release in Japan during late 2015, which would make KH an annual franchise for them.3D-early 2012, HD 1.5- early 2013, HD 2.5- mid 2014, and KH3- late 2015.For us in the west there will definitely be a year without KH (either 2014 or 2015, depending on when HD 2.5 releases).

Each CoD has atleast 2 years production on it, and each AC title has several years production time. Just because it is yearly releases does not mean they are made in 1 year. Doesn't work like that. There is different studios to work on each installment so that the blockbuster series' can achieve yearly releases.Hopefully after KH3 there will be a set studio that can make a big KH game every 2 years.

Usually about 4-6 months (judged on previous KH games), which is still a considerable amount of time especially if KH3 releases near the end of 2015 (which is the earliest it could ever release in Japan). For instance, KH1 took 6 monthsKH2 took 3 months for NA, 8-9 months for the rest of the worldBBS took about 7 months3D took 4 monthsHD1.5 took 6 months.

Well it was mostly aimed at FFXV. SE's top series that made their name, pretty much a must for worlwide release.

"Kingdom Hearts III’s October PV was received positively but it is still insufficient development wise." - Nomura

"Osaka’s team is working simultaneously on both Kingdom Hearts III and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX." - Nomura

"Nomura said he is currently writing the scenario for Kingdom Hearts III now." - Nomura

"FINAL FANTASY XV is still currently focused on development and I want you to wait until the timing is right to reveal more information." - Nomura

We'll be lucky to get FINAL FANTASY XV in 2015.

I sadly have to agree with this

The problem, however,is what's gonna fill the gap of 2015 for the KH series?? Ever since 3582 Days, the entries of the KH series were released on a yearly basis with one game per year

And after releasing 2.5 in 2014,what's left to release on 2015 other than KH3???

And remastering KH3D in HD early will be a stupid idea...it didn't work with Capcom in RE Revelations and it won't work here.

I think Nomura announced KH3 way too early than he should be....I'm gonna guess that KH3 wasn't supposed to be announced at E3 but they decided to announce the game anyway to keep people from on board of the ship especially since most People's faith in Square Enix has either decreased or completely died

If I remember correctly KH HD 2.5 is going to have an international release. KH3 may very well have that too.

Um...ac3 was released in 2012 and ac 4 in 2013, and black flag is not a bad game at all ( in my opinion..)

Final Mix doesn't count as it's just an improved version of the game...not a new game

Besides, before the HD collections that we got recently, the Ps2 version of Final Mix was exclusive to Japan and never saw a release overseas until 1.5 HD remix

I've still always assumed 2016 earliest.

I'd expect KH Online or some filler stuff to "bridge the gap" between 2015 and 16, or like I wanted, a KH animated movie that tells the story of BBSV2 and Mickey getting the Realm of Darknesses keyblade.  (slash I really want a side game dedicated to Kairi and showing her training progressing through worlds using princess and light based magic and having the other PoH as summons)
