Skai 3,961 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) (Team Building Arc BEGIN!) Teams are announced yada yada~ "Alvis Xur, Chase Cheslin, Veronica Ravena and..." the white haired man paused, looking at the three standing on the podium. "Someone is missing..." Glynda behind him, whispered, "He is in the hospital, sir," in his ear. "..And Haru Hathaway will be team HAVC." Another group walks up. "Nami Onnea, Syfe Mors, Vyona Lani and Heian Umbra. You all are team VNSH. You will be lead by none other than Vyona Lani." One more group. "Davis Goliath, Yuki Sunil, Sora Takagi and Aria Waters. Team DASY." More groups pass and go. Everyone returns to their seats. "I bet all of you are wondering why some teams did not acquire leaders. This is because some of you barely qualified," Ozpin said in an apathetic voice. "While it is indeed true, you are all talented individuals, many of you have not grasped the concept of what it truly takes to be huntsmen and huntresses. For those who are missing a leader, you will be assigned a provisional one, until one suitable enough to take the position rises to the occasion. You are all dismissed." ---------------------------------------------- (Nothing major will be happening in this arc except weeding out people...and by that I mean, checking who still wants to RP. Just a bunch of random character development and choosing the leaders for the rest of the teams.) ----------------------------------------------- (Decided to give everyone a fair chance at leader, since there was a little spat for this team. ) Later.... "Yo, team DASY, little flowers," a tall redhead said, in a sort of insulting voice. "You are all under me. The name is Roy Anger (Grumpy, if you're wondering). I'll be your senpai provisional leader for the time being. Whoever will become leader all rides on my decision. Have fun." ------------------------------------------------ "Team HAVC. I'm not supposed to tell you this, but Haru is notlooking good. It doesn't look like he's gonna be able to stay at Beacon. One of you guys have to show me who is leader material and who will support. I'm Aka Kuro (Alice, 'cause red/black, checkers, colors of suits, nvm...)" (Roy Anger is two years ahead and he is 6 foot. He's hotheaded and is the leader of his own team. He will be hard to get along with. Aka Kuro is one year ahead and very intelligent. Her mind often wanders around. She is quite random. She is only 5 foot, quite short. Team VNSH has no provisional leader sooooooo yeah. We continue the RP throughout class sessions for the next couple of months. Interaction will be very loose so yeah... Have fun guys.) demy1077 56 Posted January 1, 2014 Chase punched the wall of Thierry team's bedroom. " that's it I want to try and visit haru today after class" chase said laying on his bed. He was already wearing uniform and had bandages around his knuckles. " all I can say is if he can't get back on his feet or gets kicked out of beacon these holes will get worse" he whispered. Chase managed anger like a dog managed it's bone.... Not very well.
Guest Posted January 1, 2014 "Y-Yeah! You're right.." Haru confirmed, about to just sit in place, but something happened. "Huh?" he asked as he fell to the floor, effectively fainting and blacking out. --------------------------- (RP must progress soooooo....) Before Haru had a chance to faint his eyes caught a glance of the finishing move that practically massacred the large bird. The Nevermore fell to the floor. And just like that everyone's mission were done. It was pretty much guaranteed that they would make it to the cliffs now. End Arc. -------------------- (I'll be making a post in a bit that will start the new arc in the RP.) (Darn, I had a hole move planned out... Davis had gotten up to the bird, hooking his blade into it's mouth, the Nevermore screeched as Davis kept moving, but shot the blade out at the same moment, allowing him more movement as he made it to the end, switching the other half of King's Gash to Gauntlet mode and holding onto the chain, Davis shot from the behind of the bird, where it's tail-end was for a time, and made it to the Nevermore's right-wing's tip, or where it would had been, then rushing from there over the bird's body to the middle of where the bird's left wing would had been, down to just a little after the end of where the right wing would have ended, then to the head again, each time wrapping it around a tree or column that he was near. From there, he looked the Nevermore in it's eyes. "How dose it feel, knowing that when I pull this chain as hard as I can you're the one dying on the ground and not me in your stomach?" He whispered to it, before pulling with all his might. The chain followed the shape of a star the Sickle of King's Gash cut through the head and main body, the chain kept flowing it's laid out path, then cutting the main body again and again and again. The Nevermore was in nearly ninety pieces after the attack ended... That's it, if you wish to read it...) (Team Building Arc BEGIN!) (Considerably, my tactic was better since none of us were prepared for more air combat, as none of us could fly/move in the sky, and I thought that my tactics on the field would show leadership better than telling people what to do, which is just bossing people around... I may not had shown too much on the Teamwork scale, but I figured the "They're being attacked, no time just for fun now" switch in attitude and the better attack pattern would show for itself, but I guess I was wrong.) "Isn't it normally here in Beacon that the person in the front of the name is leader? I'm not asking because I want to be leader, quite frankly, I work best with one person at my side, if anything." Davis said, looking to Yuki. "Had I known we were going for leaders in this last challenge it probably would have changed my mind on tactics, though." Davis muttered. In his head, he thought "If I make my parents look bad when I'm here... I gotta try hard to get along with these people and be the leader... It's the hole reason my dad got me sent here in the first place..." He thought. "I screwed up..." He thought, sighing. He stood about two inches taller than their "Provisional Leader" they had assigned. He didn't quite like the tone of their "Provisional Leader" "And 'Little Flowers' Is a bit condescending, how about at least addressing us with something a little more courteously-worded. We just took out a Grimm you probably still can't." Davis's confidence was showing highly. Sure, his training was tougher than the rest probably had, and his skills may had been just a little more honed, but what was a prince with a warlord father to do? Act like he didn't have a few gifts that average-training couldn't give? He remembered when he had been defeated when he was much younger... "My boy." Davis' father spoke, the authoritative and angry tone was obvious. Davis had just been defeated by a mere baby Grimm, it was barely able to fight because it was so young. "You shouldn't have been defeated. You're my son, for hell's sake!" He yelled, frustration in his voice. "I already know your Semblance, and you know how to use it! You know how to use and conserve your Aura and how to change your weapon, I've sparred with you countless times, you've even beaten me once or twice at my best, and yet you can't kill a Ursa Cub!" He boomed out. Davis, quite a bit shorter and smaller, presumably around ten at the time whimpered a little, that's all. "I know the problem. You don't have a god-damn spine in your back! You can only fight people and things you've fought before! Everything else scares you to death!" His father's voice was at a screaming-level at this point. "You will have to grow a spine..." He quickly calmed down his voice, though. He had put a hand on his head. "What am I do to with you, send you out into a jungle of the worst existence can offer at this time and see if you live or die!" He yelled again, Davis had two tanish-things on his head, they shrunk down with every word yelled at him, though. When his father took a moment to rest from his rage, they perked back up: they were lion-like ears. His father started to laugh maniacally, and they shrunk back down again. "That's it... You and me... We will go into the worst dungeons and forests and caverns, we will camp and fight off Grimm much stronger than I ever hope you see again, and once you've seen those horrors, either you'll die from shock or you will finally grow a spine!" He yelled out in excitement. Hours later, Davis and his father had set out for a horrific adventure... Davis sighed, expecting for their red-headed new leader to start yelling him for having a spine big enough to say he was weak, but he was loaded with responses to suit the situation anyway. Chase managed anger like a dog managed it's bone.... Not very well. Alvis sat cross-legged on his bed. "Chase, punching the wall won't help. It just makes holes, and they don't look nice." He lay down on his bed. "Just so you know, you're paying for any damages." Alvis didn't show it, but he wanted to see Haru too. Haru was his partner, after all, and Alvis probably should've looked after his condition back in the forest. Blame it on not knowing any better, I guess. Veronica looked at her two teammates, feeling uneasy about the whole thing. Without Haru there, their team felt... incomplete. "Don't worry guys. I'm sure Haru is recovering and will be back on his feet in no time." I hope.... "I'm sure the headmaster won't see it as unreasonable if we want to go see him after classes." demy1077 56 Posted January 1, 2014 Chase nodded and sighed. " I have a stupid feeling I can't wear my hat in school" chase thought slipping it off. He looked at alvis and veronica and lightly smiled. " i heard team days got a grumpy guy helping them" chase said happily. He stood up and went digging through his suitcase now. He was bored and hungry so why not eat same panda cookies. Roy listened to about half of what Davis dished out and then turned to his tablet like device, sending each team member a video. In that video was his first year. He held a pick axe of some sort, probably had some sort of ammunition-like form to it also and he stood in front of three other people, no doubt his team mates. They stand atop a cliff as there are 4 Nevermores dead on top of it also. The camera pans upward and eventually the video ends."We'll be training everyday. 4 AM to 8:55 AM. No complaints," he gave out the order as he walked out of the stadium area. For a hot headed person, he sure did keep his cool. You expect me to wait up for you to get ready for a session?" Davis laughed. "Four Nevermore's, eh? Not bad. If he faced a DeathStalker at the same time he would have had my thirteenth birthday..." he thought, walking to the door of the room, he was still dressed in his regular attire. "I'm going out to train. Be back around eleven." Davis said, walking out the door and out of Beacon. He hoped to make it to the forest that they were in for their first mission soon, and hoped he would encounter something formidable. "A simple Nevermore was too easy. Maybe I'll find a few King's or maybe another Nevermore and a Deathstalker, or at least a pack of Ursa's or something..." he thought.
Silvia Kuroi 1,480 Posted January 1, 2014 Heian sat on his own bed in VNSH's room. He laid sprawled out across it, one loosely hanging over the side while the other held a book above his face. Some fancy, near-ancient text about some great skirmishes back in the Faunus war, or whatever it was. To Heian, it was the most droll thing he had very laid eyes on. He liked books, but not stuffy texts full of archaic words and terms no one has used in a hundred years. He groaned, dropping the book on the floor. "That'll be a good place for it..a doorstop." Saber Lily 1,543 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) Sora stepped forward, then curtsied. "Hello. I apologize for my teammate's outburst. We are still running our adrenaline levels down." She was holding the curtsie like a pro, then ended it and hurried after Roy, glancing at Davis with a soft, but nuetral expression. Waiting for the provisional leader to end his message, she stepped up. "Excuse me? Mister Anger? Uh...I think you didn't hear me. I wish to apologize for my teammate. We all are still running on adrenaline, and for a few of us fatigue. Please excuse him - we will be at your training sessions at the appointed time." Sora entered a curtsie, and held it like a pro. (I'm gonna bitch again. Can you people have some firetrucking patience? I go to sleep and BAM I miss an entire conversationand have to play it off that Sora was either too quiet or ignored. Slow the firetruck down guys. I can't he here 24/7). Edited January 1, 2014 by Oathkeeper136
Junko 2,815 Posted January 1, 2014 Vyona has been laying on top on her own bed in her school uniform, with one leg crossed over the other, and just sat there staring at the ceiling. Her team was the only one that got a legitiment leader and that had to be her, but, of course, she wasn't complaining. Just thinking. (It's so boring. Class doesn't start for another while and I have nothing to do.) She grumbed before sitting up and looking over at the others. Nami was looking though a few books in a small library in a part of the room and Hedian and Syfe were collapsed on their beds. She narrowed her eyes and stepped out of bed. "Training." Nami heard Vyona's outburst and looked up from a book she was skimming through. "Huh?" She looked a bit confused and Vyona spoke a bit louder. "Training. We should get to some training, shouldn't we. Laying around here like a bunch of pushovers won't do us any good." Nami shut her book and placed it down on the floor next to her before standing up. "Well you can't go around making desicions without anyone's input on it." Vyona crossed her arms and smirked. "Well of course everyone will agree with me, isn't that right?" She said, waiting for confirmation.

Please excuse him - we will be at your training sessions at the appointed time."Sora entered a curtsie, and held it like a pro.(I'm gonna bitch again. Can you people have some firetrucking patience? I go to sleep and BAM I miss an entire conversationand have to play it off that Sora was either too quiet or ignored.Slow the firetruck down guys. I can't he here 24/7).(Blame Jaune for moving forward when I was online. It's just habit to reply ASAP.) "That maid-dress girl... Annoying. She's too soft for her own good, too polite. And her tactics aren't the best. Eyes and foot, though disarming, still allow small fight if it gets the possibility. No wings means it can' do crap." Davis walked slowly to the field. "And why wear a maid outfit to combat anyway? Hoping to get some men to fight over who gets to take you home after a bloodbath?" Davis laughed, starting to near the forest. Naegi 149 Posted January 1, 2014 (I'm gonna bitch again. Can you people have some firetrucking patience? I go to sleep and BAM I miss an entire conversationand have to play it off that Sora was either too quiet or ignored.Slow the firetruck down guys. I can't he here 24/7). ((Sorry, I just get excited or I don't wanna be left behind. Role-plays have that effect on me)) Aria stared up at their new provisional leader quite amused by his attitude. However when he mentioned their training time she cringed. Aria loves to sleep, and it'll take something as loud as a tank to wake her up. Staring into the image of the 4 dead Nevermores she said to herself, "Oh so the ones we fought back at the bridge were actual Grimms?! I see now." She went after Roy as he was finished messaging Ozpin. "Yo Rio! What kind of training do you have planned for us?"
Skai 3,961 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) (Didn't think we moved too much, but sorry.)Roy raised his hand up before leaving, acknowledging the girl's apology. He would have liked to leave right there, but another girl had run up to him and ask him a very tempting question."Target practice!" he smiled with a devilish look at Aria. "You're the target," Roy insisted, touching her shoulder. "And it's Roy, not Rio." Roy walked away after all the hilarious interaction. Looks like he could take advantage of at least one of the team members and that was enough to get through to this team. After that, they would only see him when he popped up and of course, during training sessions. Edited January 1, 2014 by Jaune Arc
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted January 1, 2014 Sora frowned slightly, then turned to Aria when Roy had walked away. "I'd rather use him for target practice." She said softly. "So...what do you have planned currently?" She asked.
Xiro 3,468 Posted January 1, 2014 As the conversation continued in the dorm room, the oak door flung open. Well look at that. None other than Aka. "Yo! Here's the schedule guys. Training is at 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM everyday!" she announced, handing each person of Team HAVC a schedule. "It isn't going to be easy, but hopefully by the time we're done, someone will be a great leader with a great team!" she ecstatically wished. "Disappear!" Aka disappeared in an instant. The group couldn't see where she went. Suddenly the door closed and that was that. She had come and gone. Quite interesting. Was it possibly her semblance? "Twelve to five? Every day?" Veronica was dumbfounded. "This woman is crazy. She does know that we have things like classes and homework, right? I don't see how depriving us of sleep will help decide who's leader material." Alvis sighed. "Haru's actually lucky in one department; he doesn't have to deal with this bull."
demy1077 56 Posted January 2, 2014 " we have all rights to punch her right" chase said sitting up. he sighed and grabbed his notebook and pencil. " class is starting soon so i'm headin out seeya later" chase said ebfore leaving. he walked down the halls silently as all the other kids who were leaving early talked. " oh man i really hope i don't get a window seat and if i do let's hope there's never animals near it" he thought. animals emotions rang out louder then grimms for some reason causing bigger headaches. Naegi 149 Posted January 2, 2014 As Roy walked away Aria stood there blinking not understanding what he meant by her being the target for their little training. 'What a funny teacher,' She thought. Noticing Sora asking a question, she pondered for a bit. "Hmm I'm not sure, I guess I should train a bit. I have a really bad habit of blowing most of my energy in the begining of a battle." Aria scratched her head, "But I kinda wanna check out our room first, ya know do a little decorating."

Guest Posted January 2, 2014 (Okay, I'm alive, Crona, is there anything I need to resond to immediately?) (Not really, the Nevermore is dead(a post I made earlier had the Death Scene for it I envisioned) and we got assigned a provisional leader, if they're is anything to respond to all there is to know is in Jaune's post, and that I had left the dorm room.) Davis had made it to the cliff top. "It's more of a plateau, but they call it a cliff..." he thought, looking at the steep drop below. "Well, dead men tell no tales, and I've got plenty to still tell." He thought, jumping down, leaping between the rocks of the cliff until he was at the base-level. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted January 2, 2014 Syfe raised his head from the book he was reading. It was intriguing, but not gripping. "Training? I wouldn't mind that, not in the slightest." Syfe said calmly. "I mean, if any of you can take me on," He made a casual hand gesture, as if it was obvious that he was the strongest. A smirk was playing on his mouth. He glanced over to his pistols which were on the bed next to him. There was another reason he wanted to train. He felt like he hadn't yet proven himself to his teammates. It had already been made clear that he was young, likely the youngest in the school at 15. But it felt to him that he hadn't yet shown himself to be worthwhile. Sure he had a fancy weapon, and a shiny semblance, but if he had the skill to back that all up had been yet to be seen.

After Chase had left, Alvis said, "Unfortunately, you cannot hit a woman, even if she may be insane." "Should we head to class too?" Veronica asked. "Eh, you go if you want. We have plenty of time until class starts," Alvis replied, checking his schedule. "Oh... alright." Veronica left the room, leaving Alvis alone. Alvis sighed. To be honest, his teammates were alright, despite their quirks. But he wasn't sure if he could deal with Ozpin and Aka. Maybe I should've done some self-study of some sort. ------------------------- Veronica wandered through the halls until she spotted a familiar face. "Chase!" she called as she ran toward her partner. "Are you.. feeling alright?"
Junko 2,815 Posted January 2, 2014 A frown came over Vyona's face and she turned around to face Syfe, looking a bit annoyed by his remark. She planted her hands on her hips. "Sounding a bit too cocky being the youngest one here. Of course they would make the strongest the leader of the pack." She leaned down at him and gabbed her finger at his chest. "Which doesn't happen to be you." she whispered and stood straight back up. She walked over to the door, picking up her staff from her bed on the way there, and turned back to the others, changing her staff to a spear, and pointing it at the Syfe. "If you really want to prove yourself as close to my equal them it can only be done in actual combat!" Nami crossed her arms and smirked. "Well this outa be interesting." She turned to Syfe. "If you really want to fight her, try not to go all out on her so we can avoid injuries." Vyona growled at the sudden comment and thew her spear at Nami, only for Nami to catch it by reflex before it could hit her. "Don't belittle me you stupid lolita!" Saber Lily 1,543 Posted January 2, 2014 "Decorating sounds fun." Sora smiled. She curtsied. "Shall we go then?" The grey-haired girl was still a bit shy, eye contact being sporadic and occasional. Her beautiful green eyes shone with intellect despite that, and something else. Something...mysterious.
