Donald Duck...IS SUCH A JERRKK! >_<;;

Recommended Posts

Srsly, he is. To me, anyways. I was playing KH1 (PS2 version. is this still in the wrong board?) and I got to the part where Riku is found in Traverse Town and I was so happy to see him and he and Sora talk and then Sora ask's him if he can join the party...

And then Donald is like "NO! NO HE CAN'T COME"

Eventually, Riku leaves. And I felt like freakin' crying.

I STILL feel like crying. I was so upset...

I'm NEVER forgiving that duck. Everytime i have to choose between a party member, i'm keeping goofy on the team.....Donald pushed away my little sweetie and made him heart broken!!!

:

....

Even if Riku still ends up a really cool guy in the end, after all the darkness and all. It still makes me feel kinda bitter...

I had to rant a bit...It was hard to continue playing after that part....

And seeing Riku walk off so oviously feeling...not needed.....

edit; lol twilight town wut

I know EXACTLY how you're feeling. Donald is always a jerk in the games, I'd cook him if he didn't have the ability to heal.

You don't know how much a jerk he is fully till he breaks your FAVORITE CHARACTOR'S hearts REAL badly and makes him join the darkside, though...

:

I guess, on the plus side, seeing riku on the dark side will be....interesting. But I don't think i'd feel too happy using that duck after how he treated him anyways. It REALLY made me wanna cry. I was really bothered...

You have no idea....T____T

He is just a jerk when he casts thunder on Larxene.

xD

OMG...I wish I coulda seen some of that when i played com on sora's story.

I guess he has a plus side, if he's not sheltering riku.

I don't know. Maybe i should just cool off about him.

But, ahh...I guess Goofy is more amuzing as a team mate. I duno.

I just didn't like seeing riku soo sad :(

But it may be good for me in a way to see how that goes in this game. I MYSELF struggle with i guess you could say 'the darkness' a lot.

That may be why i'm soo attached to riku to begin with. I feel he's a sign of light in my troubled world of black and white and fear and shadows.....and he sure is pretty enouth in several fanarts that sometimes. I almost don't care what people try to tell me about anything. Or if beauty can be bad. I just feel love...trust.....

Maybe i'm too obsessed or token this on a crazy edge.....than again, maybe i'm just that emotionally ill that i need something to cling on to.

That I know I won't want to throw away when the going get's too difficult.

Goofy is the most observant character in the series. xD

Despite Riku struggling with his own darkness, he overcame. You just always have to believe in the light.

Donald isnt the reason Riku joined the dark side, he did that before he even knew Donald.

Donald is kinda of rude, but then again, so is Riku, and both of them are on good terms with eachother since they are both Soras friends, at least in my analysis.

I don't think Riku was typically offended by Donalds comment in 1, just upset that he felt Sora had replaced him, which is Malificents fault.

Although we cant be sure, considering Riku can have a sensitive side while still being a tough guy, but im willing to bet him and Donald didn't have any spats or anything.

Besides, Donald was just trying to protect Riku, the same reason Kairi couldn't go with Sora and Donald and Goofy either, because it was too dangerous.

I also get really angry because of this cutscene. I always think Sora could have saved Riku if Donald hadn't said "no" and had that little argument. I know he was already listening to Maleficent, but Sora could have put some sense in his friend's head, not to mention Maleficent started to make Riku angry at Sora after this.

I get really angry at Donald because he never heals me when I need to -_-

(And yeah, it's Traverse Town, not Twilight Town xD )

Yeah, I got farther now.....Turns out Riku's already working with Maleficant.

I felt a little emotional at that part but its okay. I wish I coulda went and gave him a big hug.... :(

I try not to hold on to anger too long (or at least not TOO much anger...). I guess, in genneral, Donald can be a bit of a stubern jerk. Its just how he is.

And...I'll admit he's made me d'aww at times, with his poutiness, in all honisty.

And maybe Donald was concerned for Riku's safety. But I still can't help but still feel a bit bad.

And, while it may not sound like i'd say this....poor sora. :( he only wanted to find his friends...

But anyways. Yeah, guess you can't get too mad at the duck. He's just.....a strange dude. >_>;

lol, I still like Goofy better. Really does try to keep everything calm in the crew.

I wish I could save riku from maleficant's lies.... :

Edit; omg. I said TWILIGHT town in my first post? xD lol, I oviously ment traverse. I'll go fix that now~

I try not to grudge too much; donald does, indeed, have his 'lovable' moments.

But I can't help but feel a little insolted by the 'biased' comments </3 Really, sometimes you can't help feeling emotionally attached to a character that you like a lot...

I agree that Donald is a bit of an ass, but that's always been a part of his character since the beginning of his time. His character is based around having a short temper and overreacting to things that don't go his way. As much as I hated how he ruined everything that happened in that scene, I would be more upset if he lost his personality was flopped around and he welcomed Riku with open arms... wings, rather.

What annoyed me most about that particular scene was how Sora just kinda brushed the whole thing aside afterward. He was all, "At least Riku is okay! Time to go pretend he never existed anymore!" That bit there was more unrealistic than Donald being an ass. If I were in that situation I'd have been confused as to why Riku left in such a hurry without even a word. I'd still probably have kicked Donald's rump all the way to Castle Oblivion though. :3

LOL are you kidding me?

Donald isn't that much of a jerk in the KH Games at all...he's way too cutesy in the KH games TBH which annoyed me...I felt like they destroyed one of my favorite cartoon characters(same with Goofy cuz they actually make him sound smart which is just weird)

And Riku left cuz he was an asshole in KH1 for some reason which I will never understand since the game doesn't explain anything...doubt Donald's words effected him

I call it the "Sasuke Uchicha Syndrom"

Donald much more of a jerk in the cartoons

Look at what he does to his nephews in this short

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skdVouumMk4

Anyways I always drop Donald when I have to switch partners...but that's purely cuz of the gameplay

Donald always die on me...it's annoying

Goofy is at least somewhat more durable

But what they did to Donald was just disgraceful...The Real Donald Duck would NEVER call Mickey Mouse "your majesty"...GTFO with that bullshit

*read's first post i made in topic* lol...emotionalness....

I mean, the above poster is right, he just wanted to leave on his own...?

.....

This is kind of confusing.

Don't worry about trying to understand/not understanding Kingdom Hearts

Nomura is a pretty poor story-teller...KH's story always reminds me of those awkward mediocre anime which make no sense(I bet not even the Japanese understand them)

Best way to enjoy KH is just have fun with it...and focus more on how the characters act rather than trying to follow a story which doesn't connect well at all

I mean what does Nomura think? That he's one of the best writers of all time? Give me a break...the KH stories are too convoluted for their own good...better a simple story with a powerful message than the typical Long Soap Opera Nomura has done with KH

Best writing I've seen in KH is Roxas 4 hour segment in KH2...it was simple and no bullshit(well almost no bullshit..there's some stupid stuff here too)...the characters were likeable too this time around(Roxas,Axel and especially Hayner and His Gang which so reminded me of the carefree days when I used to hang around with my friends)

Too bad Roxas turned out to be Sora's Nobody when I first played it and the story went downhill from there...but hey the gameplay was still great and that's what makes a videogame GOOD

These games are best not to be taken very seriously(even though the games try to act serious and stuff but kinda fail)

I mean I laugh(and cringe at the same time) when Sora tells Ansem he's gonna fight with his "heart"...lol that's so corny

And don't get me started on that whole "Destiny Speech" between Roxas and Seifer...when I first played KH2(which was my first KH game) I couldn't stop laughing at how awkward that was

And ofc there's the SoraxRiku stuff...which I swear would be a Yaoi pairing if KH was an M-Rated Game
