Chrono Trigger in Kingdom Hearts III

Recommended Posts

In the first Kingdom Hearts we had Kurt Siza, The Phantom, Ice Titan, Sephiroth etc. (not counting Unknown in Final Mix)

In Kingdom Hearts II, Sephiroth made a comeback (now even more badass) (and I'm not counting the Final Mix with Terra's Lingering Will fight and the re-fights with the Organization)

So I thought, that it would be AWESOME, if Chrono from the legendary rpg "Chrono Trigger", made a cameo in Kingdom Hearts III, where you would be fighting alongside him with Lavos as a secret Super Boss :D

Come on, don't tell me that wouldn't be cool!! I mean, Kurt Siza and The Phantom added nothing to the plot, they were just there for the hell of it, so what harm could it do if Square inputed some Chrono Trigger fan service in KHIII? Lavos being a super boss could also compensate for the 3D Chrono Trigger remake fans have been wanting for so long (refering to the cancelled Chrono Resurrection project).

Let me know what you guys/gals think :-)

Fool. You are always negative towards my suggestions anyway, so what do I care for your opinion xD besides, you don't even reason your "no".

Fool. You didn't ask for a reason, you just asked what we thought. You didn't say anyone specific. So I gave you what you wanted. Just because my opinion isn't the same as yours doesn't mean my opinion isn't important. That said, having Chrono in a KH game is very stupid. It wouldn't be plot worthy either. Fan service? For who? Chrono Trigger fans? They aren't the concern here. The KH fans are. Who cares about Chrono Trigger in a KH game?

I've heard that Chrono Trigger is one hell of an RPG, so sure, why not?  It would be  pretty cool, and since The World Ends With You has already appeared in the KH universe, chances are that other Square franchises might appear sooner or later in cameos in the series, so let's hope for the best. :P

I would just love it if Chrono Trigger were added to Kingdom Hearts III in any way, shape, or form!  I'm a huge fan of the game (just take a look at my avatar and user name : P), and I could easily see the series fitting right in.  I mean, The World Ends With You is in Kingdom Hearts, so why not Chrono Trigger?  It would be fantabulous.

So yes, I fully support this idea.

Okay, I'll take your word for it. :P

And when you do I play it, I personally recommend the PS1 port :-) it has the animated cutscenes and Frog's middle-age-ish accent. Sure the DS version has more content including an extra ending, plus the beautiful cutscenes... but Frog's accent didn't survive the re-translation :-( (see you in court Square >.<)

Well, I just hope that Square either sees this, or that they have the same idea as I. Or perhaps some other fans who has better connections than I, has got the same idea and suggested it^_^

Oh no........................my expectations are growing too high!!!!!!!!! D:

I don't think that Kurt Kisa and Phantom were there for no reason. To me they had a little purpose. But still a purpose. They were there because they were those very powerful Heartless that escaped. But this guy has to have some type of purpose. He can't just be there. He needs an excuse.

Kurt Zisa and The Phantom was only there for us to have a little extra fun with some extra boss battles, you could take them out of the game at it would literaly impact NOTHING on the story itself. Sure there was that whole "two powerful hearts has escaped"-thing, but that ONLY served as an excuse for the bosses to be there in the first place. Again, take away that message, and take away the bosses... it would impact nothing on the main story.

Oh, and let's not forget about Sephiroth. He kinda sorta just fell outta the blue when you entered the Platinum Cup..... no explaination given there either.

So... no... Lavos and Chrono don't really need an excuse to be there, just a setup. Like imagine it so that, at one point in the game Sora looks up into the sky and sees what looks like a meteorite falling towards the Earth, but he already has enough sh*t to deal with so he thinks nothing of it at the moment and kinda forgets about it. And then when the main story is completed, he is reminded of the "meteor", he goes to check it, and voila, it turned out to be Lavos... and then suddenly Chrono arrives, and mute as he is he immediately recognizes Sora as being a good guy to which he simply nods at him in acceptance. Boss battle starts.

if they made a kingdom hearts game after KHIII that involves Kairi traveling back in time then it would make sense because think about it who built Traverse Town so I thought what if Chrono, and his friends were the creators of Traverse Town?

Now that you mention it, it sorta makes sense, cuz in Chrono Trigger we have the "End of Time"-location-thingy where people lost in time wind up-- and in Kingdom Hearts, we have Traverse Town, where people who lost their world to the darkness wind up :O coincidense?

That is a brilliant idea, and would really make sense!  I would just love to see this in KHIII and if not, well, care to write a fan-fic on it? : D

Well we won't be getting Chrono Trigger anytime soon. Nor will he be part of the storyline or the franchise at all. But maybe Cactuar. Nah. That FF's bonus boss.

And what exactly do you base that rediculous statement on, huh? If they allowed The World Ends With You to be a part of the franchise, then why can't Chrono Trigger have a bite of the cake too, as a bonus super boss. You don't know Square personally do you? Do you know Nomura personally, and has he told you that he won't ever even dream of considering to include a little Chrono fanservice in KHIII? You don't? Well then please be quiet with your reasonless pessimism, and let the rest of us daydream in peace. Thank you very much in advance.

If we get Chrono Trigger, I want DBZ, as well.

Well you can want that all you want^^ but Square doesn't own DBZ, so that probably won't happen.

What is the latest game of Chrono Trigger. That what it depends on. Is it dead?

Nomura had heavy input in TWEWY, that's why those characters appear in KH. His input in CT was really small compared to that (and had nothing to do with the characters), I seriously doubt it's going to get in.

Rocky: most recent game was Chrono Cross, released in '99.

So what you are saying is that, what makes it into the game depends on what Nomura himself wants, based on his own impact on said title, and not what the loyal fans want. In other words, he's a selfcentered f**k? ^_^

Let me dream okay?

Someone sounds bitter. I'm being realistic. It's his series, he can put whatever the bloody hell he wants in it.

Pretty much 15 years of non-production. Well this may have proven my statement correct.

I had the feeling Disney wasn't in DDD anymore, cus of your TWEWY companions & Dream Eaters.Chrono Trigger is a instant classic, but i think they should focus more on Disney characters/worlds.We already have the FF & TWEWY cast in KH, more Japanese like characters will make it look more like a Final Fantasy to me.
