Reflet 201 Posted December 20, 2013 I'm about to fight Sephiroth and I'm not sure if I can make it, so anyone would like to give me an advice for it (I'm level 68, using Lionheart, have 46 AP and started with more Attack and Less magic.)

The Rocky Shoe 169 Posted December 20, 2013 uSE sONIC rAID IF YOU THINK YOU'RE IN DANGER. Have Elixers on you in case of his Heartless Angel move. Hit him before his Heartless Angel move. Jump when he does his horizontal slash and hit him with a combo.
Kaneki Ken 1,516 Posted December 20, 2013 hmm.... Stock on Elixers... Lots of them. Stay locked on at all times. If you hear him say "Descend Heartless Angel" you better hit him before he finishes saying Angel, or else you will have 1HP, and no MP. That's where elixers come in. Use aerial attacks, and maybe rangnorak, Ars Arcuram and Strike raid or sonic blade. (forgive me for misspellings). If he pulls out Meteors, he's invincible. Don't attack him until he finishes his attack. Deactivate abilities that you won't need, such as jackpot or treasure magnet. Leaf Bracer, Second Chance, and Once More (I don't think that ability is in the game but check anyways) will be your best friends. All magic will not work effectively against Sephiroth, so only use Aeroga, and Curaga. If you understand and watch his patterns, you should be able to beat him. Lion Heart works, but I still recommend using Ultima Weapon. But I was able to take him down with Oathkeeper before, and I was in 60s or 70s at the time. I still recommend leveling up just to be more safe. I haven't beat him on 1.5 yet, because I don't got the game, but I can't wait to beat him up again once I get it for Christmas. Watch a couple youtube videos to get the idea if you want to. Godspeed brave soldier...

Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) Best advice: Don't He's tough even at LV 100 with Ultima Weapon. Get there first before you even attempt it. And be sure to have a ton of Elixers/Megalixers on hand too. And don't forget, Aeroga is your friend, as are Ragnarok and Ars Arcanum. Second Chance and Leaf Bracer are indispensable. Also, use equipment that increases HP and/or Defense. OMG, I actually sound like I know what I'm talking about Edited December 20, 2013 by Isamu_Kuno 2 Reflet and Kaneki Ken reacted to this

venxas24 544 Posted December 20, 2013 Just dodge roll to dodge then strike when he doesn't expect it. Also, don't spend too much time getting Elixirs for Heartless angel attack, he'll just stop if you hit him before he finishes saying it

Xiro 3,468 Posted December 20, 2013 Abilities: Scan, Sliding Dash, Counterattack, Dodge Roll, Guard, Second Chance, Leaf Bracer, MP Haste, MP Rage, Combo Plus, Air Combo Plus, Critical Plus, Hurricane Period, Vortex, Blitz, Superglide, Strike Raid, and any other of the special attack abilities if you can. Finishers besides Blitz aren't very effective. Special attacks are good since they make you invincible for the duration of the attack. Strike Raid is especially good since you can use it to hit Sephy from far away. I would recommend leveling up a bit more to get Leaf Bracer and Air Combo Plus (I think those are the one you need). Also, you can get a Critical Plus from some Coliseum thing (idr what exactly), if you haven't gotten it yet. Items: Elixirs. Like other people have said, they're mainly for if Sephiroth uses Heartless Angel and you can't hit him in time. You need to time the use though, since it takes a moment to replenish your HP and MP, and he can kill you in that moment. Equipment: Lionheart or Divine Rose. Accessories should boost HP, MP, and Defense (and AP if you need it). Magic: Curaga and Aeroga. Strategy: Dodging and healing are your best friends. Once you deal a combo, he'll either use Flame Pillar or teleport behind you and attack. For both, roll out of harm's way. Once Flame Pillar dissipates, you can rush in with Sliding Dash and deal another hit or few. For Omnislash, you can either Dodge or Guard, or take the hits and heal. Sephiroth usually does Heartless Angel right after this attack. For Supernova, just Roll past the meteor things, and either Roll or heal with Leaf Bracer to avoid the giant energy ball thing. For the black orbs, you just have to be extra careful and dodge them. Sephy's attacks can be blocked and countered, which especially helps against his Tornado Slash thing. Oh, Strike Raid is your other best friend. You can use it to avoid attacks, hit him from afar, or just get some good hits in. Be sure you always have enough MP for a couple of Curagas and a couple of Raids. If you use the other attack abilities, same thing (minus the long distance). Best of luck. It's hard, but you can do it. (Holy cow that was a long post)

Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) Stock up on Elixers, use Strike Raid only when needed. Dun waste on aero spells, jump Sephiroth's first swing, combo three hits, roll away because he uses his fire pillars, find the opening in it and dash in for another combo, then roll away again to repeat the process. Also, Strike Raid is seriously the only ability needed. It's usually the final hit and keeps you from taking damage from any of Sephiroth's attacks. Also, never, NEVER EVER, let him use his drain move. Everglow did this on Proud without changing any equipment, if I'm correct. I know he uses the Kingdom Key only though for canonical purposes. O.O Godspeed dude.... If you beat Sephiroth, you get bragging rights. What? On Proud? That's not much. I already did that. KH4Real 749 Posted December 21, 2013 Hit him with slap shot right after he uses his fire. This should be damage him much until he moves faster. By his final attack you just need to hit quick.
Reyn 1,755 Posted December 21, 2013 I'm about to fight Sephiroth and I'm not sure if I can make it, so anyone would like to give me an advice for it (I'm level 68, using Lionheart, have 46 AP and started with more Attack and Less magic.) Ok first off, what difficulty are you on? Ill assume its Proud, so here's what i did: Level up to lvl 80 at least, so you do decent damage. Use Lionheart, equip Strike Raid(YOU NEED THIS), Sliding dash, no finishers except Blitz since they dont work, one combo plus(anymore and itll be harder to get a finisher on him), Combo Master, Hurricane blast, Slapshot, Guard, SUPERGLIDE(You need this for when he uses descend heartless angel), LEAF BRACER AND SECOND CHANCE(These are a must, otherwise it will be near impossible) and AS MANY CRITICAL PLUS'S AS YOU CAN. Also, EQUIP AS MANY ELIXIR'S AS YOU CAN, YOU NEED THEM. Also, if you have them, EQUIP MP RAGE AND MP HASTE. I did this without it though, its easy to conserve MP if you know how he fights, you can dodge and block alot of his attacks. When the fight starts, Guard against his first attack and roll away. Guard against his next 2 attacks, and stand away from him, since he'll use his fire pillar. This is where Sliding dash comes in handy. Go to either his left or right, and when the fire pillar starts to dissapear, slide dash into him, get 1/2 more hits in on him(BUT NOT THE FINISHER) then run away, and he should do a fire pillar again. Loop him again 2 more times, then he should break out of it, and you will need to dodge away. Then repeat the first few steps until he fire pillars again. When you get him to a pink bar of health, he'll start using descend heartless angel and you NEED TO SUPERGLIDE in order to get their in time if your far away, and attack him, if not, he'll reduce you to One HP(unless you dont have Second chance, then its an insta kill) and no MP, which is why you need elixirs. When he gets to 2 HP bars left(yellow and green) he'll go into a meteor form, and he'll summon meteors, and at the end he'll make a huge ball of energy that will explode and hurt you. Also, in this form, normally, he'll summon dark energy orbs around you to hurt, and do faster attacks. This is where you spam strike raid, it makes you invicible and helps alot, trust me. use Strike raid if your in a pinch, but dont abuse it too much, you need MP for healing too. THats another reason you need elixirs. HOPE THIS HELPS! 1 Reflet reacted to this

The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted December 22, 2013 Be at a high level before facing Sephiroth, because his health doesn't go down for a while, and make sure to have Elixirs in case he uses his Heartless Angel move, but if you time your strikes quickly, you'll be able to prevent him from doing that move. Then use Strike Raid, Ragnarok, attacks that make you immune to his attacks, and also have MP Rage, because when you receive damage, your MP increases, and then defeat him. Trust me, when you beat him the first time, it'll be a breeze to fight him more times. By the way look out for his Meteor attack, and um, yeah, your good to go. I thought that was because he had so much health that it exceeded the five HP bars. Oh, one thing I found out. Once Sephiroth does Omnislash, there are a couple of seconds after he deals the final strike in which you can get in a couple of hits before he teleports to do Heartless Angel. So if you want to take that chance, go for it. 1 newllizahc reacted to this
