Most memorable moments in Kingdom Hearts.....

Hi,

We all know that Kingdom Hearts is a great tale, with countless heartfelt, sweet moments. Out of all, which stick out the most to you. This goes for all games in the series. I want to know the most memorable moment of each game. Meaning one per game.

For me, there are just so many, I can't have a list in order. But here's what made my list;

 

1. Kingdom Hearts: The moment that I found most memorable in Kingdom Hearts, would have the be the moment where Sora stabs himself with the Keyblade, and he slowly fades away. I found this one the best because, it was deep in the story, and very unexpected. This moment really grabs you, for an emotional ride.

 

2. Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain Of Memories: This may sound "different" but, my most memorable moment while playing this game would have to be the moment that Clone Riku was defeated, and was fading away. I guess that sad music got me into the mood. I'm not sure why, but this was the highlight to this game for me.

 

3. Kingdom Hearts II: Oh lord! This game has SO many twists, and heartfelt moments! But, I have to say, the moment where Sora, discovers Riku, and Kiari for the first time in years. That oh so beautiful music to match Sora collapsing at Riku's feet.... Showing how much he cared, and how much they mattered to them.

 

4. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days: Despite this one being the most emotional turning game in the series, I had this one the whole time. The moment where Roxas fights Riku in the World That Never Was. You could really tell the feelings of Roxas, wanting to be his own person. Trying to leave, when Riku stands in the way.

 

5. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep: Most likely the moment where Ventus, gets frozen, and thrown down the mountain, seeing the heart-moon I believe. Seeing Terra, Aqua, and Ventus's faces told it all.

 

6. Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded: This game, oh dear, I'm not sure there really is many moments in this one at all. But, I'd say when Data Riku gets destroyed, and corrupted.

 

7. Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distances: Probably the moment where Sora finds out that Riku is the Keyblade Master, and not Sora. His happy reaction, and that sense of relief.

KH1: Either when Sora sacrifices himself to save Kairi or when he closes the door as Riku says "Take care of her."

 

KH Re:CoM: Riku talking to Namine about keeping Sora safe then saying he'll walk the road to dawn.

 

KH2: The entire first part of the game dealing with Roxas and the intro.

 

KH 358/2 Days: "Who else will I have ice cream with?" or the part after Riku and Roxas' fight, especially when he started his "summer vacation."

 

KH Re:Coded: Data Sora fighting Data Roxas.

 

KH BbS: Aqua giving the Wayfinders to Ven and Terra while talking about the tradition of a paopu fruit. That or Terra's armor finishing its battle with Terranort and putting the Keyblade into the ground and kneeling, saying he'll set things right.

 

KH DDD:

Sora's encounter with the people connected to his heart.....Namine, Xion, Terra, Aqua, Ven....and especially Roxas. When Ven sort of smiles after Sora's battle is also memorable.

As much as I love the series and the genuniley great moments it has. I'm gonna have to go with KH2 when Goofy 'dies' from the boulder just because how stupid it looked at the time.

Kingdom Hearts: When Sora and Kairi are talking in the tunnel. That moment is both adorable and heart-warming. In it, Sora realizes the true meaning of hope. As long as there is Light anywhere in the Darkness, there exists hope.

 

Re: Chain of Memories: Man, I guess I have to say that when Sora finally finds Naminé. The sad thing is, it's not a happy reunion. This is literally the first time he sees the girl he's been chasing the whole game, yet it's all a lie. Then, Riku shows up and fights Sora. Upon defeat, he strikes back and nearly kills Sora. Naminé is forced to kill Riku. Yes, KILL him. Larxene appears and taunts Sora and his relationship with his friend, telling him that Riku was a fake. She also reveals Naminé's true identity. Even still, Naminé strikes back, only to be hit by Larxene. Sora attempts to fight back. At that moment, Donald and Goofy return, forgiving Sora for his outbursts. When Larxene is defeated, everyone speaks to Naminé and she explains everything. Despite messing with their memories, they forgive her. Sora even tells her to not cry. He knows that she was forced to do what she did. He also thinks that it's good she gave his happy memories. The exchange between them before they go after Marluxia is adorable.

 

358/2 Days: Even though it originated from KHII, I still like how powerful the scene is when Roxas leaves and Axel tells him not to get on the Organization's bad side. It's very heart-wrenching how Axel says he'll miss Roxas when he leaves.

 

Kingdom Hearts II: My favorite scene is after the 1000 Heartless battle. When Axel attempts to tell them everything, until Saïx shows up. Sora begs to see Kairi, even getting down on his knees to show his desire to see his friend. Saïx declines his offer, making Sora look like a fool. He then tells them the truth. Every Heartless defeated by the Keyblade gets sent to Kingdom Hearts and makes them one step closer to their ultimate goal. Just think, you just accelerated the process by slaying thousands of Heartless. Saïx proceeds to call more Heartless. Maleficent shows up and loses control of the Heartless. Sora begs her to stop, showing both care for her and a futile attempt to stop fighting. Saïx begins to monologue about his envy of the Heartless, being able to gather as many hearts as they want. Now, Sora is backed up into a corner. If he fights the Heartless, he furthers the Organization's plot. If he doesn't, all the people he cares about are going to get hurt. Despite it all, Maleficent saves them from the situation and sends them to the Gummi Ship. At the same time, Leon and Cloud look on. Leon shows concern for his friends, yet Cloud shrugs it off. He expresses how powerful Sora truly is.

 

Birth by Sleep: I honestly can't choose just one scene. There are so many that are really good.

 

Re:coded: When it is time for Mickey to leave, it's so depressing to know that Data Sora won't remember any of this journey. Still, he manages to put on a smile and send off his new friend.

 

3D: Dream Drop Distance: When Sora wakes up in The World that Never Was, he sees a figure that appears to be Naminé. Sora attempts to thank her, but she changes to Xion. Xion gives him a sad look, and Sora cries despite not knowing who she is. She leaves and Sora chases the hooded figure. When he finally catches up to it, it is Roxas. Roxas reveals that it is Sora who has to carry the burden of what is going on. Roxas then transfers all his memories to Sora, who is now strong enough to handle such pain.

KH1: When Sora runs himself through. Not once in a million years did I see that coming. It was one of the rare times when I actually jaw-dropped during a story.

 

CoM: I think it's when Sora says he'd like his old memories back, and Namine says, "Oh, of course." It's that moment when you realize that she understands, but she's not happy about it. That is, she's glad for Sora, but it means losing the only person who has ever been kind to her, and that she's actually reluctant to let go. I think it's one of the saddest moments in the series.

 

KH2: When Goofy took the rock to the head. Again, did not see it coming. I knew that he was going to walk it off, but there was such a bizarre moment of reaction to what I just saw that I didn't know what to think. 

 

Days: When Axel says that he'll always be there to bring Xion and Roxas back. I thought that was one of the quintessential Axel moments. It's that instant when you, and perhaps even Axel himself, realizes that he does actually care, and that even he can't shrug this all off anymore. It's the moment when he feels the most fleshed out and three dimensional. He feels discomfort, anger, pain, sadness, and everything else that the old Axel of CoM would have just laughed off.

 

BBS: The most memorable thing about this game is how annoyed it makes me, still to this day.

 

re:Coded: I love the moment when Donald and Goofy come in to help out Sora. I still think it's one of the coolest moments.Somehow, I think the fact that they're even willing to bail out a replica of their buddy really cements their friendship.

 

DDD: I really did like the moment when Sora and Roxas finally get to meet, and Sora gets to tell Roxas he's his own person.

All of Riku's and also Kairi's little moments early on in KH1 have made me feel happy so far.

 

....But i'll never forget the intenceness of days. o_o; All of it.
