Once again,Youtube is shitting on itself,but this time it's way worse than it was ever before

 

 

Youtube is currently striking every channel on youtube(especially gaming videos),including Machinima,Pewdiepie,Smosh....everyone basically,with random copyright strikes using either the names of the publishing companies(who has nothing to do with this and they've denied any involvement) or using the name of a random ass studio or company like IDOL,BAFTA,Collective....etc

 

The copyright strikes isn't targeted towards a certain brand,but everything from Call of Duty.,GTA V,Kingdom Hearts,Battlefield,Batman Arkham City and even old videos before 2008 is getting claimed.

 

 

Mind you this isn't the publishers fault as most companies Sony,Microsoft,Nintendo,Capcom,Square Enix Konami......etc themselves are surprised as all of them denied any involvement and they're currently discussing it with Youtube's management

 

This copyright strikes is a part of the new system that Youtube is going to implement in January 2014 which automatically and randomly check a couple of videos that you've uploaded and check if they're legit or not....the checking process can take from hours to days before they allow your video to be uploaded

 

If they found music or certain things in your videos....you'll get copyright strikes

 

This is affecting both partnered and non-partnered channel as even fanarts from a girl who draws Dragon Ball Z characters without showing anything from the anime or DBZ games...but she got copyright strikes anyway

 

Even THQ games will get you copyright strikes even though THQ doesn't exist anymore as they went out of business last year.

 

Even people who got official permission from the publishers themselves to show their content and they're being payed by said publisher like Black Nerd Comedy,got striked with copyright claims.

 

 

Keep in mind though that the publishers themselves are not doing this by themselves,it's Youtube doing a beta test on people for their new policies that they're gonna implement next month

 

 

This is a disaster that could spell not only the end of gaming on Youtube,but the end of videos on Youtube in general

 

This will cause people to migrate into other places like Blip TV,Twitch....etc for watching and producing content,and there is no guarantee that Blip TV or Twitch won't follow the same policies as Youtube

 

 

Spread the word everywhere you can on Facebook,Twitter....etc.But keep in mind that this isn't game developerspublishers doing this.It's just Youtube ruining everything for both sides and we have to stop this before Youtube manages to bullshit their way around and convince the publishers about this

 

 

If you care about anything you watch on youtube,whether it's gaming commentaries,movie commentaries,anime commentaries....etc,then spread the word

 

This isn't just limited to gaming,as it also has affected even movie commentators not just LPers

I really have no idea what Google thinks they're doing. Practically no one is happy with the integration of Google+, and this is just another nail in the coffin. I'm sorry, but when they force features on people that no one wants, that cause more problems then they solve, and make things stupid, and then follow that up by allowing bullshit copyright strikes and claims on their own partners I just can't understand how you can keep saying that there's nothing wrong with Youtube. It's getting absolutely ridiculous, and what used to be a safe environment for content creators and commentators is going away because of their bullshit.

Google slayed YouTube. Where have you been, because I seriously would like to be in a place where YouTube didn't suck after google bought it. the content doesn't suck, but the system it runs on dose. I remember days where I could pause a video, let it buffer, then play it with no issue! Now you can't go anywhere near a half-inch of buffered video without playing it. It's forcing us to use social media(which I don't like using, just a preference) and now is basically pulling illeagal invalid claims! Open your dang eyes! YouTube only got its content because google started partnering majorly, but without it the content was reletively the same with or without pay! The only difrence is higher-graphic videos! That's it!

Wow are you serious? All these new changes that Google is making to YouTube is going to be the death of YouTube. How could you not see that? I mean just next month they're going to ad a "confirmation process" where it will take hours to days to have them decide wheather the video gets uploaded or not. And you of all people should know that this could affect KH13 in terms of uploading new Kingdom Hearts content.

Well, I was able to listen to some remixes of FF13 music, and Those videos haven't been taken down yet.

But I have to agree. Youtube F***** up here. Google is losing our support everyday. I wouldn't be surprised if Youtube becomes obsolete in the coming years will Twitch/Dailymotion/Vimeo gets popular.

 

What's stupid here is that Youtube is attacking people with copyright claims. I think that's stupid because the only ones, in my opinion, that SHOULD be attacking is the developers, productions, and publishers themselves. I haven't seen them take much action on this subject, because in my perspective, gameplay videos help people, and get people more interested in the game that the company made, videos that are made that seem to promote the franchise, even if its nonprofitable and purely for fun and fanart style, gets people hooked on franchise which equals profit for the company that made the franchise. The main point I'm trying to say here is the companys that made the games/books/movies/photos should be the ones attacking, not Youtube/Google.

 

With Youtube attacking their fellow partners, esp. the big ones that every subscribes to such as PewDiePie, Smosh, NigaHiga, Youtube will lose there support and the partners will find someplace else to upload their videos, causing Youtube/Google to lose support and money, and people will be going to Bing, Yahoo, or whatever for searching, and video websites for watching other stuff.

I think you're missing the point that the real problem is not re-uploading KH13's cutscenes on somewhere else if something happens.

The real problem is that this is going to affect the rest of Youtube people, famous or not, who make quality and special videos, that are not just some simple cutscenes. Those who make quality videos are risking not to be able to monetize them anymore, and if a partner has no monetization enabled then it's a serious thing.

I myself wouldn't spend my days wasting my time making un-monetizable videos, if I knew that I could just spend my time for better purposes like studying. Sure, I used to do that when I was 15 just for fun, but now that I am 22 and money has become a priority for my daily needs, as a Youtube partner I feel the need to get payed in order to keep going.

 

Not gonna sound selfish, but 90% of Youtube partners make quality videos because they know they're going to get some decent reward off it. And with quality videos I don't mean a simple playlist of Kingdom Hearts cutscenes.
