Sora giving into the darkness in the battle with Master Xehanort

Recommended Posts

In the beginning of the final battle against Master Xehanort, would like the idea of Sora giving in to the darkness or going into a advanced anti form because somebody close to him gets hurt or injured. For example Sora, Riku, and Kairi ( in their keyblade armor) start the fight against Master Xehanort, and everything that happens in the Secret ending from KH2FM happens during the battle, here is how I want it to happen Sora, charges first, Riku and Kairi run from the cyclone Keyblades, Riku gets hit by the keyblades , Kairi rush to Riku to see if he is alright, Riku uses a magic barrier to protect Sora from the cyclone keyblades, the barrier explodes, Sora fights Xehanort for a while then Xehanort freezes his arm, then Kairi tries to surprise attack Xehanort, she fails and Xehanort grabs her by her helmet, Sora tries to rush to her aid but gets attack by the cyclone keyblades and falls off the cliff, Riku gets up and looks in horror as Master Xehanort Freezes Kairi whole body then drops her, Rku rushes to her side, notice that she is still alive, Sora gets back up and takes off his helmet then the camera zooms in on his face due to the fact he is anger and his eyes changes color from blue to yellow, as a sign of him giving into darkness.  Sora giving in to darkness, due to Kairi getting hurt is the only way I can see him using darkness. let me know what you guys think, would you like the idea of Sora giving into darkness or do you think it will ruin the character.

Actually I had a similar idea before

And before anyone tells me that no one can use Dark powers.....Terra, Riku and Cecil say hi

I like the idea of Sora using the power of darkness as well as the power of light

That would add so much variety to the gameplay as Sora will have access to both Light and dark spells and and attacks like Dark Firaga,Dark Thundaga and Dark Aura

In terms of Story.....Darkness doesn't always mean evil as Darkness can come from many other things like guilt,sadness,despair,anger,hatred.....etc

Hell,Cecil from FF4 when he was in Dissidia,he used both his Paladin and Dark Knight powers which made him a very versatile character......Sora can be like this too if Nomura did it right

Metal Snake does Anti-form count in KH2 or no?

yea I bet before 3D time travel was thought to  "never happen in kingdom hearts" now look lol.

Anti Form doesn't count because it affects nothing in the story

Anti-Form only comes out when you use the Drive form way too much as a penalty for abusing it....but once you get the final form it completely dissappears with very very very low chances of going to the anti-form

Nomura said it in an interview that Anti-from only comes out when you abuse the Drive Form system...he didn't say it's related to the plot

And as I said before,Darkness isn't just related to evil and it's not exclusive to villains

I would rather have Sora win by the strengths he's always had, rather than having to delve into something "dark." Sora doesn't win fights because he gets mad. Sora wins fights because he cares about the people closest to him, and that is a trait of Light.

yeah , this will never happen.

such insight (btw that was sarcasm) for future reference supporting your comments usually makes for a much more in depth conversation.

what if cecil shows up in the next game and shows sora how to use both. kinda like leon taught sora about the keyblade in the first one.

Oh man I seriously want Cecil to be in Kingdom Hearts

He fits perfectly there as someone who was both a Dark Knight and a Paladin later,he could be a really good mentor for both Sora and Riku

Fool. That's not how it works.

Dude I swear to God the Anti-form completely dissappears after you get the final form......Nomura said it in an interview if I remember correctly

the only time I got the Anti Form again ONCE was against the Data rematch with Vexen in KH2FM

I've put over 100 hour in KH2FM and aside from Vexen as I said,I never got the Anti-Form anywhere after I got the Final Form

Fool. There is a point system that determines when you get anti form. First off, anti form only happens during combat. Each time you activate Valor, Wisdom, or Master Form, you get one drive point. These points are invisible. For Anti Form to activate, it needs three drive points. And it happens by chance. The more points you have, the higher chance you have of becoming anti form. When you become anti form, it takes those three points away. The reason why it may seem that after final form you don't get anti form is because every time you go into final form, it takes ten drive points away. So someone who abuses final form probably doesn't see it a lot. But the counter never goes below zero, so someone who suddenly wishes to level up wisdom form, for example, can start seeing anti form more often again. You can even get final form before the game gives it to you, by chance. A lot of people get during the Saix battle.

I already know that you can only get Anti Form in combat

And I know there is a point system but the fact is,I didn't abuse the Final Form as much as I did with Valor and Wisdom Forms and even then I never ever got the Anti Form outside Vexen's battle after I got the Final Form which I got after defeating Saix

All this talk of Drive forms is getting me hyped for KH2.5. Kingdom hearts 2 has to be the best KH game

It IS the best Kingdom Hearts game not Birth by Sleep(or in my case...Bored to Sleep)

I'd like to see Terra(FF4) and Cloud(again) on future KH games. Maybe even Lightning or Yuna.

No it's FF4....the SNES version was called 2 because FF2 and FF3 were Japan exclusives

As for Lightning...believe me she'll be in KH3 after all the exposure she got for the past 3 years

Birth by Sleep is my 3rd favorite( after KH1 and KH2). the only thing boring about KH Birth by Sleep was the voice acting. How do you feel about DDD I have not played it yet. Is it better then birth by sleep?

From a grand perspective, this doesn't sound like something Sora would do when observing his character.  I'm not saying it couldn't happen.  As you said, under the right circumstances, Sora could turn to the darkness for some reason.  Sure, Sora does get angry from time to time, but we have never seen his anger consume him.  As Diz said it, Sora is a bit too nice for his own good.  Sora is driven by every one he's met, and all the friends he's made.  Unlike Terra, Sora doesn't rely on his own strength.  His strength comes from the friends he has made.  Each person he's ever met is a reason to fight against the things that endanger life as they know it.  Heartless, Nobodies, and everything inbetween pose a threat to any and every world.  Sora's strength of heart comes from the mere fact that he wants to stop all the suffering that is happening because of the Heartless, and people like Xehanort.  If he were to rely on himself alone, Sora would likely get nowhere.  Despite the fact that he could hold his own for some time, Sora would lack the leading drive that's kept him going all this time.

We don't know what KH3 holds for the plot at the moment, so something could potentially drive Sora to embrace the darkness.  I'm not sure what this would be, but I personally don't think it will happen, that's just me.
