Caity 3,946 Posted November 27, 2013 Wikipedia is not the credible source you want to cite when trying to back up something, since it's anything but credible. It makes no difference to me, my country doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving, we own St Paddys (Y) 1 PillowHead reacted to this
anime10121 28 Posted November 27, 2013 Welcome to adulthood, unfortunately, you find out many of the things you THOUGHT were true, have hidden (usually cash related) origins

Shard the Gentleman 2,891 Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) It's only half a lie. There was a group of Pilgrims that did get along with Native Americans and shared cultures with them, however, it wasn't in the fall, there were no feasts involved, and it didn't just happen. It happened over time when a certain Native American watched the village Pilgrims slowly grow over time and suffer during the winter times. Eventually, this single Native American was brave enough to enter the village, but quickly leave to go fetch another Native American who spoke English. Etc, etc. This is all from a primary source, which was a diary of one of the villagers (who I think was the captain of the ship before, not quite sure.) This person is most famous for having his wife die, and not mentioning it in his diary. I can't for the life of me remember who it was. While back then it wasn't "Thanksgiving" it is what Thanksgiving is based on nowadays. Edited November 27, 2013 by Admiral Antoine
