Sora96 17,256 Posted November 19, 2013 Tonight on the final play (3 seconds left in the game) of the Patriots-Panthers blockbuster the NFL refs again threw a disgrace. Quarterback Tom Brady threw to his Tight End Rob Gronkowski for a game winning touchdown... only problem? Gronkowski was held and a Panthers player picked off Brady in the end zone. The refs threw a flag instantly but later said there was no penalty resulting in a Panthers victory. Replays show a clear hold on Gronkowski. If the refs had balls the penalty would have taken the Patriots to the goal line and a Patriots victory would have a 99% chance of occurring. Here's some proof:
Spiney 125 Posted November 19, 2013 (edited) OMFG, I hated this! My roommate and I were screaming at the TV when it happened! Dear Lord, I hate the refs in every football game. They seem have a vendetta against the 49ers because they get penalized wayyy to often. Srsly I wonder what's up with the favoritism sometimes. It's annoying. Static15 90 Posted November 19, 2013 I saw the game...it was a great game...even made some money off it. But anyway, I saw that last play, it was an obvious hold, yes, but the ball was underthrown so it wouldn't have mattered anyway. Also the refs, 9 times out of 10, are gonna make bad calls, nothing's new there. Last thing, people need to quit sleeping on the Panthers dammit...WE HERE NOW...#Keep Pounding 1 Silent reacted to this

There was a flag out and a clear PI.
Noobles 301 Posted November 19, 2013 There was even a ref in the back on the second picture -_- Bring back the replacement refs? Just kidding. But still. This is quite absurd. Even with all cameras and everything, they still lie.

You should know as well as I do after the refs get together and talk about it, sometimes they take back the call. Of course one of the refs saw the PI and called it, but after watching the replay, they determined it was underthrown and that Gronk wouldn't have been able to catch it anyway. I definitely see your frustration, but that's the NFL for ya...this isn't the first time someone's team has been screwed over...the whole league is full of BS...I don't know what to tell ya 1 Silent reacted to this

Silent 824 Posted November 19, 2013 He wouldn't have caught it. If anything it would have just been incomplete.

Static15 90 Posted November 19, 2013 To be completely honest, I thought he had great chance of catching it if he wasn't held Brady is too accurate and Gronk had the ability to get the job done.

Brady probably would have thrown it better if Gronk wasn't held. Brady admitted after the game was indecisive on that pass.

Of course he was indecisive, no one is decisive while throwing an interception. lol

Sora96 17,256 Posted November 21, 2013 The Patriots are two calls that are almost never made away from being 9-1 and the #1 seed in the AFC. Instead they're 7-3 and the #3 seed. Six games left. LET'S GO PATS!
