Frozen in future Kingdom Hearts games

Recommended Posts

Unless it is a hit, than no.

For the most part, KH Disney worlds have been based on classic Disney films.

Pirates was popular and included in order to promote the sequal.

Lilo & Stitch did ok, but it is popular in Japan.

The Country of the Musketeers was included because no previous KH had the three amigos, aka Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, together.

Disney's Castle is included because it is considered the centerpiece of Disney, just like every Disney Magic Kingdom has a castle (Sleeping Beauty's castle at all locations except Florida, where it is Cinderella's Castle).

The Hunchback of Notra Dame was a weird case.  It is not real considered a classic, even though it was part of the Disney Renaissance (at least, I don't consider it a classic).  The world is probably one of the worst in the KH series.

Disney Classics are a series of movies, not movies that have been successful or old. Frozen is part of the Disney Classics series and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame too!

Considering how early KH3 is in development, I think it's very possible it could be in the game. It would make a great world especially with the magic aspects of the film. I would love if it was in KH3!

Frozen is doing really well. And has gotten very popular. I would love to see what the PS4 would do with the magic snow, I bet it would pretty.

I think you are thinking of the Disney animation canon.  Frozen is part of the canon, but not all movies part of the canon can be considered classics.  Movies that are considered classics have been acclaimed by audiences everywhere.  The "dark era" of Disney animation, which includes films such as Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Brother Bear, and Home on the Range, are part of the Disney animation canon but not considered classics because they were not very successful.  At best, you can say such films are cult classics since they did not preform that well in theaters.  Those films will never find their way into the KH series.

I now believe that Frozen has been successful enough that it deserves consideration for a future KH world, but it is too late for consideration for KH3.  I believe all the KH3 worlds have been chosen now.  The most recent film that could have been chosen for KH3 would probably be Tangled because it fits the Disney Princess archtype that many KH have.

I think they're still deciding what worlds to put into the game. Remember, the game just entered development in June. And now that Frozen is such a huge success, I could see Nomura and his staff wanting to have a Frozen world for KH3

"Disney Classics" is another name used to represent the Disney Animation Canon. Wikis are never an appropriate source of information.  The Disney canon includes films made by the primary animation studio of Disney, but not all films in the canon are acclaimed by audiences.

Well I guess we got different information.

It seems more like a mix of if Nomura likes it and if Disney allow it

What about Tron Legacy? It released in 2010 two years before 3D.

I don't think it was that much popular but I liked myself very much.

KH3D was kind of strange in its world selection.  I think Tron Legacy was included because they wanted another world in which Sora meets someone he knows, yet the person doesn't know him.  There are only 3 worlds in KH3D in which this is not the case: Traverse Town, The World that Never Was, and The Hunchback of Notra Dame World.

Unversed would be the fitting enemies in this world, if we are to assume Vanitas will be back as a Darkness which means he'll have his Unversed spread out in worlds. I've always figured Riku would arrive at the home of the trolls because of a lead or tip from Yen Sid/Mickey/whoever. He'd try to ask about the Key to Return Hearts but they'd be cryptic and tell him the path to the Key can be found from a heart unfrozen. He'd travel towards the mountain, guided by the feeling of unease and the scent of Darkness, and find Elsa's castle (which wouldn't be the source of the Darkness, obviously). Somewhere around here Elsa and Riku would have a heart-to-heart, Elsa get a bit of reassurance magic isn't a bad thing...idk
Sven would sell you stuff instead of the usual Moogle for this world. Maybe Donald or someone else could call him a crook and this leads to being comically thrown out of his store.

A segment where you fight off wolves from catching up to your speeding sled would be fun. This would be similar to the T-Rex fight in The Three Musketeers world.

The giant snowman as a midboss. Maybe he could be the boss as well after he's infused by darkness for a powerup by one of the Xehanorts.

Riku has a strong connection and understanding with Elsa. , it's such a cool idea that it needs to be mentioned again. And Sora would have a connection with Anna with how she puts so much faith in her loved ones and wants to help them so badly and is crazed with the idea of making new friends.

Olaf as a summon after you complete Frozen's world. Maybe he could sneeze his carrot at enemies or something silly like that.

Elsa as a boss battle! Her demigod-tier magic makes Blizzaga look like a small, worthless ice cube. She can change summer into a super winter and create sapient life SUBCONSCIOUSLY, she’s beyond even the Ice Titan with her icy powers. So fighting Elsa when she really lets loose would be an awesome fight! Maybe she attacks the heroes because of a misunderstanding, like the Terra vs Peter Pan fight, or something like that?
Also do we need Donald & Goofy here for this? Can't they be off on some mission with Mickey and just have Sora kick it with Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf alone (until Riku meets-up with them?)

Anyways, with Sora, he'd be giving hope and telling Anna about how his best friend tried hiding from him but it didn't work yadda yadda. Kristoff would tell Sora that sometimes people want to be left alone...stuff like that. During the castle stuff Riku & Sora meet up, fend off Marshmallow to give Anna and Kristoff the chance to flee then they catch up with them in a comical push off the mountain.Meanwhile Sora can get Elsa to understand that opening your heart to love is a good thing and Riku can tell Anna about the struggles of a person living in shame and what it's like fear peoples judgements every day.

The Unversed can come from Elsa's uncontrolled fear, the fear of the citizens of Arendelle, you-know-who's ambition and general evilness Heartless would work fine, but with the emotions running rampant in this film, I think Unversed fit a lot better.

Of course it shouldn't stick too close to the movie plot. In the end, I'd like to see Sora & Riku learn that perhaps the Key to Return Hearts isn't something they can just find, but rather something they have to believe in like how Frozen's lesson was to believe in true sisterly love, which TOTALLY fits with this series since Sora believes in the power of friendship/platonic love

Andre Walker, I must say wow I am so impressed. Someone should deffently put you on the kh3 team because [even though I was already a fan of frozen] you just sold me. I would totally play that. I saw it play out so perfectly in my mind that I can't believe it. Wow just..wow!

okay it's from pixar then

No, it's not. It's from the "normal" Disney studio. The one who did all the 2D animated films back in the day.

-----------------

I wouldn't mind seeing Frozen in KHIII :-) it was a pretty good movie, and we have previously had content that partly served the purpose of promoting said movie. Like the inclusion of Chicken Little as a summon in KHII in order to promote the, then, new movie :)

As long as we get Treasure Planet too ;)

Yes we need either Donald or Goofy or both for this. They are the original KH crew and should be respected as such. I will be peeved if they weren't with me and replaced by these characters. Mickey and Riku are the usual duo just like Sora, Donald and Goofy are the usual trio. It would be weird to play the number titles without them like this. So my reply to this part of the idea is...
