Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted November 13, 2013 For seven long years I have waited for Kingdom Hearts 3 to be announced and though it was finally announced at E3 this year, I felt little excitement. To put it plain, I've waited too long to care for it. However at Japan's FIRST EVER D23 Expo, they showed first ever work in progress gameplay. I was highly unsatisfied with not just the gameplay, but fans' remarkably unthoughtful responses. Disney Rides/attractions as Summons, as command menus? Not at all, in fact, I doubt any of what was shown will be in the final product. Why? Because they were Disney Rides or Disney Attractions, built in-game as commemoration to Disney for holding the FIRST EVER D23 Expo in Japan. I'm unsatisfied because of this and because even the developers are dissatisfied with their own gameplay. None of it was good, in fact, it was understandably clunky in terms of reaction timing. The models for Donald and Goofy, creepily stare into space, Sora's still has a lot of detailing to be done. Now, as I've said before, it was understandable in terms of why it was not very satisfying at all, due to the fact that it's a work in progess. What I dun understand, is why most of us fans believe it too look good, believe some silly ride or attraction would be a good idea for a summon or something. To me, this is just ridiculously disappointing. Why aren't we observing instead of fantasizing? 2 PillowHead and Dio Brando reacted to this
Sora96 17,256 Posted November 13, 2013 Still three years away. It'll be amazing, don't worry. 1 Hero of Winds reacted to this
Caity 3,946 Posted November 13, 2013 I like the second trailer (not the announcement one) but I've seen a lot of early trailers to know that all the features that look awesome most likely will be scrapped or altered. I honestly think compared to when I first played KH (age 12) I've just grown less and less excitable with age. I see no point in getting hyped over anything when I know I will get it eventually (like I was with KH 1.5 when Re:COM finally came to Europe). But you shouldn't berate people for being excited regardless. 4 Col.Random, Jilly Shears, Aang and 1 other reacted to this
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted November 13, 2013 Still three years away. It'll be amazing, don't worry. I know it'll be amazing by time it releases, but I want something worthy of a reveal, like new designs or something, not wip gameplay or a Reminder Teaser. I especially dun want or find the need for Disney Ride or Attractions to show up in anything else.
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) I have to be honest and I'll admit it as the huge fan of Kingdom Hearts that I am my hype that used to be so huge was dying slowly as the years went by And while I was really surprised at KH3's reveal at E3...it didn't get me excited as I was when KH3D was announced back in 2011. The wowing factor that used to be there doesn't exist anymore Even Nomura himself said that they've put this early footage out just to keep the fans on ship The second trailer was amazing, but it didn't leave me excited because they didn't show any details about the story for me to start speculating They should've shown something other than Twilight Town that we've seen so many times before If this trailer would've been shown in maybe 2011 or before,I would've been hyped to death But now my hype is dying slowly because I've wait too long enough for me to care anymore Sure the handheld games were great(except Birth by Sleep)but it's because of freakin FFXV and it's disgusting 7 years of development that we didn't get KH3 earlier And now we add a new console on the list of consoles you have to own in order to have the complete KH experience Sure the collections are for new fans...but it's too late for the old fans who bought Ps2,GBA,DS,PSP and 3DS and now we'll buy Ps4 just to keep up with the series Edited November 13, 2013 by Metal Snake 1 Reyn reacted to this

To me, this is just ridiculously disappointing. Why aren't we observing instead of fantasizing? I admit, one major trouble was once Sora finished his last blast with his guns, he just kinda floated down awkwardly. But don't worry, those models were just thrown in there. And the Health, and MP bar looked to also just be thrown in there. This isn't even an Alpha version. So no need to panic. There are 2-4 years until release. And they will be showing new content bit-by-bit until then. There is still so much to be done. Never heard anyone say that before. How can you like 358/2 Days & Re:coded more? He's a confused one. Even I, Ansem enjoy BBS better than the other titles.

MyDixieRect 2,061 Posted November 13, 2013 Honestly when I see someone say that the gameplay's clunky and the models need work in a game in early development it just makes me facepalm. No duh it's still early days of course there's still a lot of detailing to be done. Were you expecting gameplay to match the fluidity of a Swan Lake performance? The models to look like they belong in Victoria's Secret Catalogue for being so perfect? I'm pretty sure the developers are satisfied with the gameplay too hence they're combining and improving everything they've done previously in KH. If they liked it then, they'll like it now. As for why we fans consider the Disney rides/attractions to be good summons, well I've yet to actually speak to others about it but if someone told me I could summon a giant ship/train or summon freaking Chicken Little like in past games I'd go for the ship/train thanks. I can see why others would do the same. Is there something wrong with that, oh insightful "observing" one? 1 Oblivion16 reacted to this

Dio Brando 5,810 Posted November 13, 2013 I actually have a tough time choosing between BBS and Days myself. There is some sort of law here for some reason that forces everyone to like Birth by Sleep
Reyn 1,755 Posted November 13, 2013 Tsk, tsk, tsk. Look at you guys, we've finally gotten AN ACTUAL GAMEPLAY TRAILER OF KH3, and look at you guys! You act as if ITS NO F**KING DEAL. WTF? I can understand if you're hype is dying a bit, but for what its worht even in its early beta it looks good. Seriously, sure, it's not as flashy as KH2 or 3D, but that won't make it any less awesome, look at KH1, itwasnt as flashy as KH2 and 3D but it's still great. If anything, you guys should be REJOICING, BECAUSE KH3 IS FINALLY IN THE WORKS FOR REAL, AND WE'RE GETTING EXTREMELY CLOSE TO ITS RELEASE. It's still in the beta, so the final product will be incredible. And WHAT IS WRONG WITH DISNEY ATTRACTIONS BEING SUMMONED? Its Kingdom hearts, IT ALWAYS HAS DISNEY STUFF IN IT, what makes this any different? Sure, it's not what i would've preferred, but every KH game is supposed o have unique things about it, THATS THE POINT.

UltimateStriker 30 Posted November 14, 2013 There is some sort of law here for some reason that forces everyone to like Birth by Sleep bbs is the ish, it was the most complex and interesting in a original and innovative step in kh with the command deck yet keeping the kh feel. for me its the second best
