atheist123 583 Posted October 26, 2013 I caught Mewtwo after throwing two Dusk Balls. Two. Dusk. Balls. It was on 1hp and wasn't asleep or paralysed. Granted, they have 4x chance of catching a Pokemon but this is still pretty ridiculous.Yveltal was caught using one ball, and Moltres was caught using four Ultra Balls.Has anyone else been catching Legendaries incredibly easily or is it just me? I haven't encountered anything which requires 100 Ultra Balls, yet.... And I kinda miss it.

atheist123 583 Posted October 26, 2013 This is why I only use standard Pokeballs during legendary encounters. True. I guess I still have the mentality of the old games even in Black/White it wasn't even this easy (for me, at least.) 1 Shulk reacted to this
Sora96 17,256 Posted October 26, 2013 Pokemon has gone downhill. Gen 5 and 6 should never have existed in my opinion. I caught Mewtwo with maxed out defence with a Poke Ball. Pokemon X/Y are so easy.
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted October 26, 2013 First off,Dusk Ball has a very high catch rate at night and it doubles when you're inside a cave.Mewtwo is in a cave,do the math. Pokemon has gone downhill. Gen 5 and 6 should never have existed in my opinion. I caught Mewtwo with maxed out defence with a Poke Ball. Pokemon X/Y are so easy. Here we go again,so because Gen 6 was easy for you you propose that the series should've stopped in Gen 4.....Gen 4 the period that some people considered to be the weakest Gen in the main series.(I suppose KH also got downhill for you as Birth by Sleep is the easiest in the series) A game doesn't have to be super duper hard to be enjoyable, sure a challenge is always welcome in my book, but I won't shun a game just because it was easier than the previous one as long as it's fun Dude,Gen 2,my favorite Generation(alongside Gen 5) is the easiest in the series, with the Elite Four all of them are on Lv 40,some of the Gym Leaders are low leveled for what they're supposed to be,and trainers on the road weren't that much of a challenge, and the meta game was almost broken....but the game was still so much fun to play for me Just because you caught Mewtwo easily doesn't mean they should stop the series just because you said so.And I'm gonna safely assume that you've overgrinded with the EXP.Share then proceeded to accuse the game of being easy while your team was over leveled...As if Mewtwo's catch rate matters anyway because you'll throw the master ball at it and call it a day unless you're saving it for a shiny Gen 5 in terms of Gameplay is the best in the series in terms of the meta game and the mechanics added and new Pokemon added. I'm fine with you not liking Gen 5,but saying that the series should've stopped at Gen 4 and that upcoming Gens should never exist is outright genwunning Even I who hate the some of the new Final Fantasy games I'm not gonna say they should never exist.Though by your logic you can say that FFXIII shouldn't exist because it was easier than X or IX 2 OmegaForte and atheist123 reacted to this
OmegaForte 1,674 Posted October 26, 2013 (edited) I'm actually glad Mewtwo/other legends have a higher catch rate+at least 3 flawless IVs. Gamefreak for once is catering competitive players in many aspects. It's still challenging as we still need to SR a lot for the other IVs+nature. Breeding got easier, but it's still time consuming as ever. I suppose people want to SR to death like the old days... and where did that get them, especially when RNG abuse became reality? Speaking of which, 6th gen RNG abuse won't happen for quite a long time, so I'm fine with the changes. Well, I caught Zydarde using two Luxury Balls, so I still think the catch rate has been increased. I don't mind necessarily, but it's interesting that some non-legandaries are harder to catch than the beings which are supposed to represent the pinnacle of Pokemon species. I'm actually having a blast completing my Poxedex, even though it is pretty easy via the GTS. Love X and Y so far... I guess catching the roaming Pokemon is meant to be the hardest challenge, until, at least, the legendary Trio is patched into the game... X and Y is my first legal game (I haven't been rich enough until recently to afford a handheld) but I can see how this is a blessing for competitive trainers. Hopefully they patch in a harder difficulty level or give us the option at least. I don't miss throwing 100 pokeballs at all, but it's just shocking that the Ultimate Legendary is caught by two Luxury Balls lol.
