KH2 One thing that will be awesome about 2.5

This game will finally put to rest the idea that KH2 was too easy. Now obviously, those of us who have played Final Mix have probably already experienced the difficulty present here. But to all the non-Japanese audience who hasn't, and always saw KH2 as a button-masher, they'll finally get a version of KH2 that can live up to and potentially surpass the difficulty of Kingdom Hearts 1. Going into Critical Mode and fighting Roxas, all the data battles, and Terra will finally provide the rage-inducingly--nail-rippingly--head-bashingly--hair-pullingly--difficult game that they've been waiting for. So hopefully, we won't see any more accusations that this game is too easy.

I've always said that people who claim any games in the series to be a button masher really wasn't trying hard enough. The games provide you with so many options for combat that if you let yourself devolve to mashing a button then that is your fault entirely for not playing the game to the fullest of its potential.

BBS FM has the critical mode from the English version and it's still easy

 

KH2 FM critical mode on the other hand was really hard....

I don't get how people think KH2 is easy while Birth by Sleep was the easiest game in the franchise

Only thing they nerfed was that unlike the original English version of BBS, you can get out of MF's whip. That's about the only thing they changed in BBSFM for him.

In all honesty, KHII was pretty easy. That's why I'm excited to get to play it in Critical Mode, I'll finally have a decent challenge with it. BBS was still way easier than it though. KHII overdid the Reaction Commands, which was kinda its downfall. They were cool, but only when used sparingly...

I like easy games, I get pissed off with difficult ones. A challenge is fine with me but if the entire game punishes me I will probably have to put it down a lot. I'm looking forward to kh2 and birth by sleep final mixes the most but I will be interesting to see new cutscenes appear in coded, if only to make amvs with them.

I dunno what you're talking about. Demyx, Xaldin and Xemnas (Final Battle) were balls-hard. 

 

Everything else was pretty easy, I suppose. Though if you're gonna call it a button-masher, may as well label the entire series that. 'Mash X to win!', after all.

nope, they made him harder, the collision magnet they nerfed so you can get out of, but hes' a lot more spamy in other places now. he use Doom a lot in my version, but in the regular one i didn't know he even had it.

You missed the point. I was talking about the people who say that KH2 is a lot easier than KH1. Not people who say the series is too easy in general.

Meh it's just KH1 fanboys showing stupid reasons of why they think KH2 is not as good as KH1

KH2 is better than KH1 in alot of aspects

I think they make a big deal out of the reaction command thing...it really doesn't make the game easier and it's mostly used for Cinematic effects in Boss Battles

The 1000 Heartless Battle for example was also just for show nothing else...there were like 10 real enemies in there and the rest were all pre-rendered...it was never a serious battle it was just more like a playable cutscene to make you go "WOW there's so many heartless"...yet im pretty sure there's dumbasses out there who think it's a serious battle that is easy
