And I was looking at buying a new hard drive but I was wanting to know some recomendations of good reliable hard drives. Preferably under $
Spacecop 22 Posted October 23, 2013 (edited) If you're transferring large files with your external you need to format with ntfs if your on windows, mac os extended for mac. Fat can only transfer 4gb files at a time. Try reformatting it again and see what happens. I would recommend any western digital external but they are pricey. Amber Cole 1,557 Posted October 23, 2013 Thanks. I deleted the volume of it soooo it wont let me like put a new name on it. It shows up on disk manager but not on my computer thingy by my OS drive (original internal computer hard drive)
Spacecop 22 Posted October 23, 2013 have you tried reformatting it in disk management?
Spacecop 22 Posted October 23, 2013 Ok figured it out plug it in then go to Disk Management. Now look at the bottom section of disk management for Unallocated Space right click that and then click new simple volume. 1 Amber Cole reacted to this
