Sora's Actual Age

So I came across people who seem to believe that Sora is somewhere between the age of 16-18.

 

but seriously guys he's still 15 years old or at least close around 16

 

Let me prove it to you in a simple timeline:

 

• 4 years before Birth by Sleep began, Ventus's heart is fractured and Master Xehanort took him to the Destiny Islands to live out his final moments. There, Sora's heart filled Ventus's broken heart and mended it. Sora was a newborn at this time
• A year after Birth by Sleep, the heartless invaded Radiant Garden and Apprentice Xehanort sends Kairi to Destiny Islands.
• Nine years after Radiant Garden fell to the heartless and re-named as Hollow Bastion by Maleficent, Sora's first journey began
• One year after Kingdom Hearts, Sora and co. have awaken from their slumber after what happened in Chain of Memories and venture off again in Kingdom Hearts II.
• Re: Coded takes place right after Kingdom Hearts II and the secret ending quickly leads to Dream Drop Distance
• Speaking of which, also takes off immediately after the Re: Coded

 If you add up From the time Sora was a baby to the current timeline, He should at least still be a 15 year old boy.

 

Also, I've seen people use the "I once met him a year ago" quote Ansem the Wise said to Aqua as proof that it's been a year after Kingdom Hearts II. Thing is Ansem was referring to the time Sora went to sleep in Chain of Memories, not a year after Kingdom Hearts II:

But considering he's 15 when KH1 starts, following it's events and then the events in Re:COM we would be a good while away from his last birthday, then he goes to sleep and sleeps for a year, so he should logically be a little over 16, no?  Every event in KH doesn't happen on his exact birthday

Fool. He's fourteen when kingdom Hearts 1 begins. Seeing how CoM takes place over at least a week, it's not hard to believe Kingdom Hearts 1 takes place within a few months. Then he was asleep for a year. And then he went on another journey which must have taken a few months. Then then DDD took some time. But even without DDD, it's plausible that Sora is already 16.

Taken from 358/2 Days official timeline: It states that Sora arrived at Castle Obilvion at Day 24 and then put to sleep at Day 49. Estimating that Chain of Memories took place in little less than a month.

I think by the end of KH2, he would be near 16, then with all the time between Coded and DDD I think he'll either be 17 in KH3 or turning 17 part way through

The biographies for Aqua and Ventus in Dream Drop Distance both state that Birth By Sleep happened "over a dozen years ago". If Sora was 14 in KH1, which he was, and he was 15 in KH2, which he was, and KH2 happened 11 years after Birth by Sleep, which it does, and Dream Drop Distance happened "more than a dozen years" after Birth by Sleep, then Sora is 16 in DDD. And a lot of people are saying that KH3 might very well take place in the thirteenth year of the chronology, meaning he could well be 17 by the time KH3 happens (in the timeline).

So... the timeline...

 

Sora was four in BBS, and DDD takes place over a dozen years after BBS, meaning Sora is 16 at the least.

 

Also, I don't think it was ever said that DDD takes place immediately after coded. Mickey sends the gang the letter in coded, they get it in KH2's credits, and in Blank Points, Sora is sitting there looking out over the ocean, the letter in hand, thinking about what to make of it. He could have been thinking about it for a week. Maybe a month even. Or maybe it's just later that same evening. Point is, DDD doesn't take place directly after coded, not in the least. And the bio alone is proof of it.

 

The "more" part in the quote tells me that Sora might very well be closer to 17 even.
