Xer 670 Posted October 5, 2013 I loved the gameplay and enjoyed playing it so yes . Mrs.Lea said it. Some said it sucked hard. I enjoyed it, since it was my first KH game to play, and it was very funny. So yes, pointful. 3 HarLea Quinn, Mirr0rVS13 and Moni_22 reacted to this
JTD95 1,107 Posted October 5, 2013 It was fun and I enjoyed. It had some nice moments here and there. But it wasn't really important. It furthered the plot but barely. I still like the game though.
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted October 5, 2013 In terms of Gameplay yeah it was fun But if you mean story, unless you care about Namine's and the King's letters.....you won't care that much 2 Keyblader and Reyn reacted to this
Wisdomform 221 Posted October 5, 2013 I never played it...but I know it's not a pointless game. I'd say Re:Coded has some importance to the series, considering it took place after KH2 and connects to Dream Drop Distance.
Sakuraba Neku 660 Posted October 5, 2013 enjoy way more than i thought and it has the best customize menu so far. To the plot, is almost filler.
Reyn 1,755 Posted October 5, 2013 Is Kingdom Hearts Re: coded Important to you? It terms of Story, no its pointless. All it does is explain that Xehanort will come back, which is already explained in KH3D. In terms of gameplay, alot of people said it was fun, but i honestly didnt like it. Caity 3,946 Posted October 5, 2013 Story-wise you could say it's importance is minuscule apart from a few details. But regardless you can still have fun playing it.
allen95 208 Posted October 5, 2013 It's still not pointless, In KH3D Malificent kidnapped queen Minnie because she wanted the data for all the worlds, but she didn't answer why. I have a feeling Re: coded will take a much bigger role in KH3
Varnish 319 Posted October 5, 2013 I enjoyed the gameplay, but the only relevance that it has in terms of story is Data-Namine's revelation at the end, and the secret cut-scene (which is ridiculously difficult to earn).
Kishira 2,854 Posted October 5, 2013 Yes! The story may have been small but it wasn't non-existent, it had fun gameplay and I enjoyed it a lot. 1 HarLea Quinn reacted to this
keystrike 145 Posted October 5, 2013 I would have to argue that, despite the happenings in KH3D with regard to the data worlds Recoded was more important to the plot before KH3D was in conception. Remember, through the original Coded's development and release KH3D had not even been in conception (perhaps it was one of many ideas floating around, but it was nothing solid enough to appear in any interview). The game centered around a pretty profound question at the time: Can something born without a heart get one? Back when the order was BBS/Coded->"Mystery Game" (Not kh3d, this was supposed to be BBSV2)-> (remasters?)-> KH3, this question was about as important as it Ansem's data itself. However since KH3D's release this revelation, among many others, have become redundant. Instead of considering Recoded's plot to be redundant next to KH3D, I consider how each game treated it separately and think coded did the better job in this regard. Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 5, 2013 Basically, although it has the least amount of impact to the story compared to the other games, it does act as an important link to several other games in the series. It helps link Days, Sleep, and 2 together, and it offers a more in depth look at some plot holes in the series...only to make more plot holes with ReCoded and 3D. I thought it was fun, but I understand if some people don't care for the story too much. I'm fine with whatever they do with it in the future.
advfox 698 Posted October 5, 2013 I had a lot of fun playing the game, but the story was uninteresting to me. That game isn't a really big deal to me.
EternalReckoning 1,135 Posted October 5, 2013 I liked it, but the story fell short where the gameplay triumphed, it was so varied. but the bug floors were repetitive i admit
Neptune Vasilias 340 Posted October 5, 2013 I liked seeing a new "Realm" in the KH Universe and the end was very informative so I think it served a purpose for the narrative and gave Nomura a excuse to make another game which actually played well and looked better than 365/2 Days in terms of in-game graphics
Roxan nudge 16 Posted October 5, 2013 I have RE:coded for my DS but I used to have it for my gameboy. You can say it's useless but some people wanted to play it on their DS .
KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted October 6, 2013 I'd say it's pointful. Without it, we would not understand KH3D. KH Re:coded linked KH2 to KH3D so it really has a bit of vital information.
Sora96 17,256 Posted October 6, 2013 It's story had to be told. I found the original coded was a waste of time. But the story still had to be told before KH3D.
Keyblader 325 Posted October 6, 2013 I believe that in terms of story, Coded could have simply been resolved in a few cutscenes or as a small segment in another game (For example, something like how you had to get data from Ansem's computer, and you ended up going to Tron's world.). I do feel that the gameplay was a big plus though, so it still makes it worth playing (I've already reviewed this x3 So saying anymore would just be rehashing things on my end )
Rob 5,571 Posted October 6, 2013 To me? No. But it was made for a reason.
LeYenrz 276 Posted October 7, 2013 re:coded story wise, the only useful and plot useful thing in the game is the secret ending. other than that, the gameplay was quite enriching and gave a big heads up to who would be saved and reminded us that there were people to save 1 Gatsby reacted to this
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 14, 2013 Well, I would say that it POINTED us in the direction towards Dream Drop Distance, LOLZ! ^^
