Do you like the new Art style in KH3?

Recommended Posts

I fail to see how this is complaining when he simply stated his own opinion on the subject. Gosh looks like the Pokemon section isn't the only one with "stop complaining" nonsense.

I do agree however it's too early to say. Although judging from the first artwork, I feel like it needs more touches. Like shaders or something... I can't put my finger on it.

Also lol Keyblades=heavy toys. They do look too thick.

I don't. I think of it, like how Wind Waker's art style was. I liked WW's art style, but the thing is, in Zelda, the games are connected, but aren't like direct sequel's with the same Link in each game(the only exceptions i know of, are OOT and MM, which are direct sequel's) which is why i thinik its ok to have different art styles in the different  games. KH however is different. Unlike Zelda(and FF) the games are direct sequels, with the same characters, which is why i think that Nomura shouldn't have change the Art Style for KH3. I know its Next Gen technology, but im sure alot of us prefer the art style from the rest of the games in the series, compared to KH3's art style. I honestly do not like the new art style in KH3 as shown in the E3 Trailer, and im hoping that hopefully Nomura makes the art style more like the previous games, and the only reason it looked the way that it did in the E3 trailer was because it was in Super Beta.

Honestly to me, it looks exactly the same...

It's still in Alpha, or Beta, or whatever. I think it is way too early to judge it. But yeah, I like this new style.

Prob in early stages of alpha aka pre-alpha (i think thats what its called) due to them like only starting not long ago.

IT'S PERFECT. Except for the Keyblades...they look like heavy toys.

-_- they are heavy toys...

I love the new art style. The characters are now high poly and the Kingdom shader looks so awesome. It looks like an evolution of the previous ones as you can see in the trailer the characters are now lit in realtime. Though it would have been a lot better if they had made it more realistic or closer to the previous CGI cutscenes. With the switch to physically based shading, Implementation of real time Global illumination and all the research and development into new rendering techniques they could have easily pulled it off. I'm guessing it was more of an artistic choice rather than limitations in the hardware. Anyway, the game is still early on in development so alot of stuff are most likely to change.
