The one of the reasons why Kingdom Hearts was released on the PS2 originally is the large installation basis.

 

The Xbox series of consoles are marketed as "mature" consoles.  KH does not fit that theme. Wii U should get a KH game before any Xbox system getting one would be considered.  Almost half, although actually side games, of KH games have been released on Nintendo handhelds (I don't care if Square had to be bribed in order to make KH on Nintendo handhelds.  the point is that they did).  It makes sense for Wii U, not for Xbox One.

While I certainly don't mind KH games being released on as many consoles as possible, I have concerns about one console impeding the others  performance and having to cut content out for the sake of equality between the consoles

I wouldn't mind. I don't have a PS3, so getting a multiconsole release on the 360 would be appreciated. As for the next gen, the systems we're most likely to get are WiiU and PS4 (not likely that we'll be getting either anytime soon), so at that point it wouldn't matter to me.

That's not cross-play. Square Enix wanted to release FF XIV on Xbox 360 and One but Microsoft refuse to do cross-play.

I don't really mind KH being on Xbox, even though the PS versions will dominate. If they put KH games on the Xbox, that could expand the fanbase more, and raise more money as well. KH should be played on multiple platforms instead of one, then jump into another, and another. That's how it should played imo.

Um, I don't really mind the series being made available to other players, but I do hope that any future decisions about other consoles don't hinder the quality of the games. I would like more priority towards the PS, but I would also like to see more done with the Wii U, since it has PS3-like capabilities, possibly full HD-remakes of the Nintendo consoles.
