The Rocky Shoe 169 Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) The GoL are seven keyblade wielders destined to battle the 13 darknesses. Goofy and Donald are not keyblade wielders, and I don't see them changing their weapon for KH3 since they most likely will be side kicks again in future series and their different weapons, the shield and staff add diversity Who said the Guardians of Light had to be Keyblade wielders? They won't be They won't be a light. Much stronger characters are going to be chosen. They even already spicifically named Kairi as a possible "7th". So they don't have room for them. But if somehow they lose a couple lights while the story plays out, who knows...I guess anything could happen, but I really doubt it will. Goofy and Donald are strong. They found Sora and helped him defeat Guard Armor when he was too weak to take it on alone, saved Sora from Riku in Kingdom Hearts, saved him again and Namine from Larxene after he treated them and Jiminy so poorly, and were almost always with Sora. Have you ever used Donald's Comet in KH2? That is pretty powerful and looks powerful as well. Usually take out a room full of Nobodies with that. Also if they weren't there to save him all those times, story-wise he would have been defeated. So no. They are powerful. And how is Kairi more worthy of being Guardians of Light than Donald and Goofy? Not to be a buzzkill, but Donald and Goofy are kinda despensible, so it's highly doubtful they're Lights. They are not dispensable story-wise and would anger me and some other people if they got rid of them in the numbered titles. It won't feel right if they are gone. While I would expect a twist where we get the odd non-keyblade wielder, Sora's wee side kicks would be so obvious and unsurprisingly it would be a complete waste of a plot twist. And while they're not dispensable story-wise, they don't need to be in the main GoL to actually play a part in the game. But either way there's no point arguing in this as your opinion is clearly not changing and neither is mine, wait until the game comes out.

It's true that they don't need to be GoL, but to me any keyblade wielder we know (unless Master Eraqus) would be less surprising than Goofy & Donald. The only thing I can figure that would be an even more unsuspected and non-typical GoL would be a new OC, the former Org. XIII, or a non Disney Castle Disney character. But for now, lets agree to disagree.

The Rocky Shoe 169 Posted September 29, 2013 Sure. At the end of KH3D, they were wondering when they were going to do something. I think some people were confused on Goofy's question and how Donald looked depressed. Also how did you get an award?
