Reyn 1,755 Posted September 22, 2013 Ive been fighting the secret bosses, and i cant win because i dont have MP Rage and MP Haste, which would help alot. Can anyone show me a level up chart so i can find out how many levels i have until i learn those abilities(and all the abilities from there on out?). Im at level 66, i chose Shield and gave up staff. Shulk 8,623 Posted September 22, 2013 http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/516587-kingdom-hearts/faqs/21270 Go to the section of Sora's abilities, I'd use that. The one with random symbols is the Japanese names I think. 1 Reyn reacted to this
Keyblade Guardian 369 Posted September 22, 2013 In Final Mix, if you chose the Dream Shield, Sora will learn MP Haste at level 72 and MP Rage at level 100 1 Reyn reacted to this

I'm beginning to have second thoughts about going with shield when I get this game, that's a needed ability for some bosses, and I don't want to overlevel any of them... 1 Reyn reacted to this

I'm beginning to have second thoughts about going with shield when I get this game, that's a needed ability for some bosses, and I don't want to overlevel any of them... You're not going for the lvl 100 trophy or platinum? On Proud, the shield is by far the best choice, along with Dawn in the beginning. You're going to need!!! Second Chance and Leaf Bracer. I literally couldn't even count how many times Second Chance saved my ass throughout the game. Especially on the Ansem fight. Please trust me. All walkthroughs say that the shield is the best choice on Proud too. Through the entire final boss fight, and most of the game as well, I was like "omfg. I don't even know HOW anyone could possibly beat this boss without these two abilities". I was at 1 hp around 20-30 times during the final phase of that fight. You'll definitely regret it if you don't choose to have those abilities early on in the game. Plus, someone who didn't pick the shield said he was getting literally two shotted by Halloween Town heartless, while it would take 6-7 hits for me. It's definitely the way to go. And people laughed at me when I choose the staff. Meh, I'd rather finish the game quickly with Second Chance and Leaf Bracer early on and grind for those abilities later than dying countless times throughout the story. I only got 3 continues in the entire game. And all of them were early on, too. Those abilities aren't even needed. I was only lvl 64-65 when I took on Kurt, and on my first try, I got him down to like 1/10th of his last bar...One more round against his head and I would have killed him....I felt like SCREAMING. DAMN 80 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) I'm going to disagree there Raziel...screw the shield if you get MP Haste and MP Rage so late into the game I mean I got Leaf Bracer by leveling up fast in Hercules Cup...just do all the worlds first(apart from End of the World) you should be about level 54 or so by then...and then go do the Hercules Cup or the Pegasus Cup(I think the latter might be easier) over and over again till you get to level 69...and voila Leaf firetrucking Bracer...abuse it to your heart's content. You can level up pretty fast in Olympus Coliseum...even without fighting Sephiroth The Sword>All EDIT:Leaf Bracer is all you need in Ansem's Fight...he's pathetically easy all of his 4 forms And honestly...I think i can beat him without these 2 abilites...just need to equip some elixirs/potions...very dissapointed by this so called final boss...And I thought Xemnas was easy Second chance is useful for other hard bosses...like Ursula Edited September 23, 2013 by DAMN

Never said I wasn't going to go for the level 100 trophy, or for the platinum. I just don't want to hit level 100 before taking on the optional bosses, because there's no fun in doing it when you're overleveled. Those are abilities that I'd usually like to have for the optional bosses, but I really don't want to be a super high level for them. Also, just because you can do them without those abilities doesn't mean everyone can, different people have different playstyles. 1 Reyn reacted to this

If not, your argument is invalid. If I chose the sword, I would have died MUCH more than 3 times in the entire game. I'd bet my life on it that you got to a continue screen more than 10. Probably way more than that even. Second Chance saved my ass much more than Leaf Bracer did. Those MP abilities are close to useless. I NEVER had problems with running out of MP...Proof by only dying 3 times in the entire playthrough. It's called ethers and elixers. And someone said they died in two hits versus Halloween Town heartless, while it took 6-7 hits for me. And we were the same level. Shield>All. At least for me. The sword isn't even that good. All it does is give you +ONE more str, which isn't even noticeable, those MP abilities a little earlier on, which I never needed in the first place, and some useless physical moves that I never even needed to use either because Stun Impact was by far good enough. Every single walkthrough I read says the shield is superior too. Majority rules. I've been playing this game for hours upon hours after I finished the story and I'm only lvl 68. Being able to finish the story 25 lvls earlier than I needed to literally proves it's better alone. So I wouldn't have to grind up to Leaf Bracer and Second Chance... Second Chance beats those MP abilities by FAR. MP wasn't even an issue. The attacks that got me to 1 hp countless times throughout the game that would have killed me otherwise, however, were. Again, were you even on Proud? You're pretty skilled if you beat all the final bosses without Second Chance, I'll give you that. For ME at least, it's better. Because I wouldn't even be able to kill any boss without trying a million times because of how often they got me to 1 hp with the help of Second Chance. This goes off as condescending and rude, but it's really not. I'm just trying to make a point that Second Chance was better for me because I never had troubles with running out of MP with the help of items. Never. So I literally see ZERO point in those abilities. If I tallied up the amount of times that Second Chance saved me, it probably would have been close to 100 deaths if I didn't have Second Chance. Versus 3. Edited September 24, 2013 by Raziel

Versus 3. Yup was on Proud Haven't tried it but I don't think Ansem's that hard..he's just tedious and he drags on to long(I reckon The Ice Titan is much harder then him)...Just equip some elixirs and you're good to go...watch out for his stupid lasers in the final fight and send Donald and Goofy to attack him constantly with the Triangle Button he'll go down easy I beat Maleficient in her Dragon Form without those 2 abilities and IMO Maleficient is way harder then Ansem You just have to think how to use the abilities you have to good use Only thing that was really annoying and tedious was...in the final phase of the Ansem fight was that you had to kill those thingies and go to those Darkness Portals to beat a variation of Heartless...ugh...such a borefest...what was the point of that...just to extend gametime most probably I just beat him today again(after I beat Hades Cup to unlock Deep Dive) and then we see Sora and Mickey close the Door and then that song starts right before Simple and Clean...that song almost always makes me wanna cry ;_; Honestly the best ability in the game is Dodge Roll...why the hell did KH2 remove that(I know it's in his Limit Form but i don't care) would have been so friggin useful EDIT:And oh I don't remember dying by Heartless in Halloween Town...I think I died in the Giant Oogie Boss with him shooting fire at me but that's just becuz I didn't know where the firetruck to go to destroy his spot thingies...it didn't take long before I figured out where the dark spots are tho And remember this was the first time I played Kingdom Hearts If I ever replay it...I'm so going to farm levels in DI atleast go to level 25 or so then the game will be a piece of cake start to finish Edited September 24, 2013 by DAMN
