Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted September 20, 2013 I think so too, but how do you know for sure? Well, I actually got this from Information on Vanitas from this website. In a Birth By Sleep Novel, it says that before Ventus' heart connected with Sora's, (Beginning of the Game) Vanitas didn't have a face, just "RED EYES." Vanitas then got a face when Ventus' heart connected with Sora's. This is why Vanitas looks like Sora. 3 Oli, Kevin_Keyblade and Kello reacted to this
CROW 115 Posted September 20, 2013 That sounds interesting. Ah but how did his eyes change from red to yellow then? Neither Ventus nor Sora have yellow eyes. Has to do with Xehanort again, eh?
JTD95 1,107 Posted September 20, 2013 (edited) No he's not. Nomura said that Anti-Black Coat is nothing more than a physical manifestation of Sora's nightmare or something along those lines. They do look similar indeed but they are not the same. Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted September 20, 2013 That sounds interesting. Ah but how did his eyes change from red to yellow then? Neither Ventus nor Sora have yellow eyes. Has to do with Xehanort again, eh? Maybe Xehanort had put part of his heart in Vanitas. No he's not. Nomura said that Anti-Black Coat is nothing more than a physical manifestation of Sora's nightmare or something along those lines. They do look similar indeed but they are not the same. Maybe the Anti-Black Coat is the remains of Vanitas. Heartless have yellow eyes, it could just be because of darkness That could be true, cause Vanitas is all of Ventus' darkness, just like a Heartless, only Vanitas holds half of Ventus' heart. CROW 115 Posted September 20, 2013 Heartless have yellow eyes, it could just be because of darkness I don't think so. Vanitas is affiliated with the unversed, he creates them. Also yellow eyes have not really a real connection to heartless or darkness, but to Xehanort. Maybe Xehanort had put part of his heart in Vanitas. That's a possibility. Hazimie 1,595 Posted September 20, 2013 Maybe the Anti-Black Coat is the remains of Vanitas. Vanitas was never even involved with Dream Eaters such as Anti-Black Coat. He's just created from Sora's OWN Nightmares, not from Vanitas's lingerings... 1 SkullMajora reacted to this

Nomura: That Nightmare was the personification of the nightmare Sora was having. 4 Hazimie, JTD95, Demyx. and 1 other reacted to this

Sora never even met Vanitas until he met Young Xehanort along with him recently. How come it makes as a Nightmare to him? Even then it was just Ventus' heart reacting within Sora What about Vanitas? Nomura: Vanitas is different than Xemnas and Ansem; he doesn’t necessarily have a physical form. He reacted to Ventus within Sora, so that’s how he was visible. Maybe Vanitas was Sora's Nightmare.(As in Sora was dreaming of him.) Sorry but no , just no . I found out about them last year, and there's only of Birth By Sleep. No problem ! Even then it was just Ventus' heart reacting within Sora What about Vanitas? Riku is also a living breathing person unlike Vanitas who doesn't even have a physical form right now.. Nomura said what the anti- blackcoat was . Nomura = canon fact . Novel's are not canon btw .Neither are manga.
