Anonn0000 3,525 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) Can it also just mean leaving someone if they thought you'd never leave them?....all your defenitions sound REALLY harsh. And mean... [8:07:32 PM] Russell: What I am saying is that if someone says you betrayed them, it may or may not mean you actually betrayed them as much as they felt hurt. It can mean that too, he says... I hope so... Edited September 12, 2013 by ~DawnStar2004~

It can mean that too, he says... I hope so... Not really sure, a bit more information should decide whether its a betrayal or not, like who and why did that person leave. Betrayal is a weird way to put it really. Still, betrayal really means (at least to me) leaving a person(s) to join someone else. 2 Weedanort and Marth reacted to this

Ghost 1,857 Posted September 12, 2013 He basically just said that "they probably weren't betrayed, they just feel hurt." At least that's what I got out of it, I'm slow on some certain sentence structure. To me betrayal is someone you've placed a lot of trust in, you believe in this guy you consider them a good friend and then you do something to go against, or oppose them in a serious matter. But he said it's not so much as a betrayal as a person was just hurt. I don't know your situation and the context so obviously I can't be accurate here, but it doesn't sound as bad as a betrayal. Axtwyt 500 Posted September 16, 2013 Betrayal is when someone you know inside and out turns on what you thought they were in a drastic way. You're shocked by this turn and they feel no remorse for leading you on about how they really were. They don't care how devastated you are or how you feel. They abandon you in your new state of wreckage, leaving you to pick up the pieces of your loyalty and trust. Here's my examples of my definition. Amon 4,279 Posted September 17, 2013 I know betrayal far too well I'm afraid. Basically, it's when someone that you trusted a lot wound up going against you, someone you would never expect in all your years.
