I personally liked Aqua's voice. : D It was nice, sounded a bit strange at times, but I think Willa Holland has pretty and unique voice, and that's why I like it.

Well, I'm a bit torn on this one. On one hand, Willa's line readings were flat, uninspired, and devoid of emotion or personality. On the other hand, that's essentially Aqua's character in a nutshell. So, in a way, it all works out.

They seriously need to keep the consistency because the Days cinematics weren't all too good because Xion and Namine sound completely alike because no voice differentiation was used. This basically killed it for me, because they used the regular cutscene audio from the original game for scenes that were from the original and you had the two different voices for Xion in one thing.

like i said it could, it happened with Aerith, Namine (which was REALLY unexpected) Kairi (unexpected too) and esp. since willa is on Arrow which will still liekly be on by the time Kh3 comes out, so you never know

Again, for the LAST time, I dunno whats gonna happen this is a PRECAUITON which means i am doing this just in case as due to the following facts:

 

1) Willa took the role (probable) because at the time of BBS' voice recordings, she had nothing better to do (finnished her gig on Gossip Girl(ya i know she apperaed in the Series finale but that was years later), O.C. was long gone, finnished filming Legion, Straw Dogs, etc. long ago), and she herself even said in interviews that she had not been on tv for a while because she had not found anything interesting for her to do, so she took BBS probably out of interest, also maybe trying to break out of the rebel teen role, or more likely she only did it cuz she was bored and needed money, so now that she's on Arrow she may not want to/be able to play Aqua any more

2) Even though I and many other people LOVED her as Aqua (she personally got me back into KH; she and BBS made me fall back in love with the series and like it even more) quite a few did not like her, and seeing as Sephiroth (who again, YOU CAN BARELY TELL IT WAS EVEN HIM) and Aerith got recasted due to negative fan reactions, they could do the same with her. It could also happen due to scheduling (like with Hayden for Kairi/Xion; btw Alyson Stoner is not supposed to be doing Xion, shes only a replacement for Hayden and because Xion/Kairi have the same voice as they (like the Org. Nobodies) are supposed to be the same person/a copy of the original person) 

3) Arrow shoots in Vancouver, and while she is not the main character, she is in it a lot and of course she likely could be booted up to a more major character, which means that she may not have time to do Aqua, especially considering that she may have a big part in KH3, but def waaaay less a role than in BBS, plus we have to consider whether or not she'll return for 2.5 if they do the Final mix BBS stuff. 

4) Yes, she did return for ONE WORD in DDD, but that was b4 Arrow and again because it was so small and for all we know, they likely used archieve audio for her and Terra despite being credited as they did credit Jonathan Taylor Thomas for doing Young Simba in II and he was archieve audio

5) Again, Ansem changed voice actors, Christopher Lee did not return as he is getting old and lives in a different country, Brittany Snow did not return, The whole Tron: Legacy actors did not return even though Garrett Hedlund said he was going to 

 

So see, you never know right? If enough people can sign at least either:

 

Square will not "fire" her like they did for Sephiroth etc.

 

She will see fan support and may be inspired to return, again you cannot assume that she will return. I was shocked to see that Diz, Kairi and Namie had been recasted for RE:com when i saw the manuel and am still appaled at Ansem being replaced. We do have the power to make a difference people, as we are the fans. After all it was because of fans that we got La Cite Des Cloches in DDD so you just never know

I think it was the worst voice acting I've ever heard in a video game alongside Shadow in Sonic Free Riders and Generations and Milla in Tales of xillia and I really hope they change her voice actor for KH3.

 

Terra was bad too,but not as bad as Aqua,I woundn't mind if they were to keep him for KH3

Interesting...cuz If i had to complain about any VA it's Hayden.I always hear Hayden when I hear Kairi speak...it's so annoying and unnatural compared to her Japanese Voice Actress where it feels perfectly natural

 

And also some of the lines they give her at times can be cringeworthy

Like for example in the final scene in KH1

 

Japanese Dialogue:

Sora:I'll come back to get you someday...don't worry(something like that can't remember)

Kairi:It's a Promise

 

English Dialogue:

Sora:Kairi remember what you said back there? I'm always with you...I'll come back to you...I promise

Kairi:I KNOW YOU WILL!!!!!!(Cringeworthy to the Max)

 

And then there's that cringeworthy delivery

exactly they will get better, after all Richard Epcar got much better and took fans' critcisms to heart. While he still will NEVER be as good as Billy Zane, he's still a good replacement. But i still want to petition cuz u never know, NEVER assume or take anything for granted, i learned that (more than once) the HARD way

For Xemnas/Ansem SoD...it doesn't matter anyway...they're both good but they pale in comparison to the greatness of Norio Wakamoto(one of the best Anime voice actors ever...firetruck that's one of the thing I envy the Japanese version for...but oh well the English Version has the good Disney Voices so it evens out)

I loved Aquas voice! It was nice and original. I wish they would stop flipping voice actors because it really gets confusing. I personally think Aqua should keep her voice, Alyson should play Xion, and Hayden should play Kairi, and Meghan should play Namine. As i've said over and over again, Kairi and Xion are supposed to be replicas of the same person, like the Org. members so therefore they are supposed to have the same voice. Hayden was also busy with Heroes for Days, so thats why she could not return, but she was able to for BBS/DDD due to only having VERY little lines to work with (though she did NOT have that much for Re:com, but again she was also working on Beth Cooper, with Heroes and another independent film). As well, DDD was b4 she started Nashville and Heroes was wrapped up so she could do BBS. Alyson is a replacement for Hayden when she is busy, but she seems to come back whenever she is not. Kairi/Xion are supposed to have the same voice, like Roxas/Ventus, Axel/Lea, Xibgar/Braig etc. 

 

So therefore if Hayden cannot commit to doing both combined (as Xion has a lot of dialouge even in the original Days, with MUCH more in 1.5) then they get Alyson and get her to overdub Kairi's voice for even ONE line to maintain continutity in that particular game, as all games should be looked at and treated as if they are the first and ONLY game in that series, or at least to feature that character. Though, I do find it strange that even though 1.5 is a collection, why they could not consider having ALL voices minted, ie  having hayden do all of Kairi/Xion's stuff from Re:com and Days due to her doing her in 1FM, or having Alyson overdub Kairi for 1Fm, though like i said Hayden was probably busy with Nashville and Kairi is supposed to sound younger in 1Fm, and Alyson is of course older now than when she did it b4, as is Hayden, though if Alyson was going to do new dialouge for Xion....? Anyways as well i've heard (havent got the chance to watch/play yet) that both B. ya they usually NEVER have more than one ORIGINAL character be played by the same voice actor (cept for the "clones/replicas" of people) And ya i know Rikku is a FF character but same thing, and ya Diz did be voiced by Corey Burton who did many ther voices but still thats different cuz of doing Disney characters NOT Sqaure/KH characters in doing more than one
