I sighed getting up, "Fine." Shepherd got up too and Jay was on my shoulder.

"If you say so Kurumi, I guess I'll share with Zed then." I smiled at the upper class man as he gave me his usual unemotional expression.

Kurumi sighed, crossing her arms, staring at Zed and Claude.

"Get moving then. Tomorrow everyone but me will sleep at home and this place will be mine again." she snapped.

Kurumi walked off to the room that Claude and Zed were supposed to be sleeping in and grabbed some of her clothes out of the dresser in there, and walking off to the bathroom to get changed. It took her a second, but she came into the room Luke was in again, wearing her night clothes that was simply a white tank-top and some loose black sweat pants. 

"Today has been a long day so I suggest all of you get your rest. I will have your parents know what happened." she said seriously, sitting on the bed Luke was laying on.

Zed, Claude & Kurumi had finally settled the sleeping arrangements & after Kurumi had changed into her sleeping clothes and was now sitting on Luke's bed & It turns out that Luke had already fallen asleep on the bed with no bed sheets covering him. Luke's brown boots were already on the floor in different spots as though they were thrown & Luke's hat was only just hanging onto his head by his pillow. Luke was lightly snoring in a harmless way with a calm peaceful look on his face. Luke gave a little smile as he felt safe knowing he had true friends now.

"Scram." Kurumi snapped again, reaching for her gun.

She glared at Zed and Claude, not taking her gaze off them. Kurumi was a pretty scary person...but on the inside she really wasn't. If she wasn't soft on the inside then she wouldn't have helped Luke.

(So innocent. So oblivious. Yet so gifted....) Malacoda thought, hidden by the darkness of the night. (Wait. I must wait. For the leader to begin her state of slumber....) He thought, growing a frail and weak but wicked smile. (So close. So close. So close...indeed...but I must wait. What to do in the meantime...ohh what to do, what to do....) Malacoda's mind was off in many ways as of the moment, it was being led astray. He felt anxious and nervous, proud and envious, cruel and sorry. (Just listen to them. Yes. Listen to them. Listen to them sleep...how fragile...how unknowing...how pitiful. And yet how powerful.) Malacoda continued thinking in anxious silence, right above Kurumi and the others, atop the roof, visible only in a direct angle in front of the moonlight. (Them...The Mekakushi Dan...they are oh so talented...and gifted. While I am not...) Malacoda thought, tracing his fingers across a rim of the rooftop, (...They...need to learn to not rely so much on their "Eye Abilities....) He smiled more. (Paralysis...I'll have to be sure to avoid that one in particular...but none of them will be able to use their abilities....) Malacoda gave a silent laugh. His fingers continued trickling softly until reaching a small plastic bag of a clear liquid. Beside it was a gas mask.

(I can kill these members of the Mekakushi Dan in one fell swoop. Because...I am not like them. I am not a human.)

Zed being Zed gave me 75% of the bed every time I insisted not to he shook his head. Until I gave up he laid on his side staring at his companions. I stared at the sky in though, The day past by so fast...

 

--Zed--

I wasn't going to sleep tonight it would be dumb of me not to. Training taught me how to never sleep for days...maybe weeks if I needed to.

Jay was outside circling the area always having to move with groups of birds, he would watch over Zed. Watching for criminals on the run or robberies in the darkness. He spotted the stranger on the roof and looked at the other birds. Call out with me. Black. And so the group of birds cawed the word black. Jay still followed the group of birds...

 

--Zed--

I heard the cawing it wasn't Jay's caw but I knew he wanted me to hear. So I looked around... What should I do...

I arrived home with only little scratches and such. The maids and butlers worried for me but I just walked to my room. Changing into different clothes and washing the little wounds. I took out a book and opened to the bookmarked page. Sitting down on my bed I read...

Kurumi turned the light off, laying down on the bed. 

"Good Night everyone..." she muttered.

Kurumi finally was able to lay down and rest for a bit. She covered herself up, slowly closing her eyes. She'd soon be awaken if Malacoda was waiting for her to rest before attacking, however...Kurumi soon fell into a silent sleep.

I look over my shoulder seeing Claude sleeping like a baby... I shouldn't be surprised... I looked at Shepherd, he knew what was going on. He got up to his feet quietly and walked to Kurumi's room...

"Mom.........wh.....l....da.....o.....e...?" I heard Claude mumble, he was dreaming about his childhood.

"Mom when will daddy come home?" I asked my mother.

"He'll be home soon." She said as I could smell beef stew. I got excited already, I stared out the cold window. The reflection of me staring at myself was visible. I waited...to see headlights come up the drive way...I waited to see a car. I waited...for a knock on the door... I waited...

"Black...black...black...." Malacoda murmered and repeated, as with the caws of the soaring birds. "Black...black...black...that is all that can be seen now of a human eye. Black...black...black...red. Tonight they will see red." Malacoda continued whispering to himself. Upon equipping a gas mask, he took the bag of transparent liquid and his snake sword, right by the start of the air vents that circulate ld throughout the entire building. Malacoda stabbed it softly, poking a fair size of a hole before dropping it to circulate throughout the house. The strong heat within the ventilation system began to have the liquid turn into it's gas form. Being heavier than air, it did not rise up, but instead, went down the vents and into the rooms.

Malacoda just had to lie in wait. Within seconds, the gas could be fatal. Being of the deadliest of nerve gases, it would not only have the potential to kill them, but, it would strike at their nerves, inflicting a burning sensation, and making it much harder to use senses such as smell or SIGHT. With their eyes rendered nearly useless for the time being, so would their abilities. It would be too late as they would at last die by it's poisoning, or by Malacoda himself. Such was a use for Sarin.

Kurumi's eyes snapped open, something was wrong. 

"I GET TO SLEEP AND THEN OF COURSE SOMETHING HAS TO WAKE ME UP!" she yelled.

Little did she know that there was actually gas in the air that could kill her. Kurumi sighed, getting dressed very quickly back into her normal clothes, and turning on literally all the lights in her house. Just as she was about to turn on the last light, Kurumi stopped in her tracks. She dropped to her knees and grabbed her chest, coughing at first...but that soon turned into screaming. The gas has found its way into her nerves, she felt like she was burning. 

 

(KURUMI IS GOING TO KILL YOU SCHEMER. Now somebody help her ;~; )

"You forgot white." A knife was suddenly pressed against Malacoda's neck. "Stop what you're doing," Yuki ordered, "and you'll survive." He pressed his blade further in, any more than that would've drawn blood. "And don't even think about fighting back." He said. "One wrong move and there goes your throat." Yuki hoped his seductive eyes worked for once, keeping Malacoda's interested in him and hopefully not wanting him dead.

Kurumi was then quickly grabbed by Luke lifting her into his arms and dashed outside the apartments front door soon falling onto the floor dropping Kurumi "Sorry to scare you Kurumi, it was thanks to Shepherd that I was able to detect an intruder near by. But at least your safe from the gas outside here... I won't let you die...*cough,cough*" said Luke as it seems that Luke has inhaled a bit of the poison gas as well but was trying to fight it with his will to protect his friends. Shepherd was safe as he was outside with Luke. Luke then straggled but stood up. Luke soon covered his mouth ranning back inside the apartment room hopping to get Zed & Claude outside as well or at least hope they had already gotten outside by themselves.

Malacoda stood silent, not giving a glance to Yuki. He just waited as of now, treating Yuki as a Medusa, to not glare into him. At the time of course, Malacoda didn't know of Yuki's specific eye ability. For if he had paralysis, then Malacoda would be at risk. But Malacoda couldn't help himself after a few seconds...but laugh. The echoed and distorted voice due to the gas mask cackled as the Sarin gas began trabeling outside as well as inside the house. The gas, now free and not trapped by the heat of the ventilation, could travel up and spresd everywhere now. Yuki, the birds, and even Kurumi were still at risk of the gas. Without looking, but by mere sense of touch, Malacoda shot at Yuki from right under him. "Idiot." His voice echoed past the mask. "You were dangerously close. If the gas couldn't reach us, why would I even need to wear this mask...?"

(NUUU LUKE DON'T DIE I JUST SAVED YOU FROM DEATH.)

 

Kurumi's screaming came to a halt the second she was outside and dropped. 

"Thanks for dropping me..." she thought.

As soon as Luke coughed, Kurumi glared at Luke, but he left before he could say anything. 

"That idiot...." she whispered, realizing something.

"My gun....damn it! If I loose that gun then my father would kill me! Even if he doesn't know that I am still alive!" Kurumi thought.

She heard more gunshots, and that made Kurumi activate her concealment. She ran inside, Luke was suffering from the gas no doubt, and her doing this just made her vision begin to blur. She quickly grabbed her pistol before heading back outside. As soon as Kurumi was outside again, she fell to the ground. Her concealment wore off, and Kurumi managed to place her gun in her pocket. 

"We need to get somewhere...Kuroto's maybe..." she thought. 

Kurumi stood up slowly, moving towards the steps of the apartment. She started walking down the steps, her vision blurring. As soon as she reached the bottom of the steps, she fell to the ground again. That cursed gas made her temporarily loose her vision.

 

(THIS IS SO TRAGIC. By the way, Kurumi's pistol was passed down through her family and is really special to her.)

After shooting Yuki, Malacoda stood up and kicked him from the side of the roof. He laughed again. "I know only you...and you're the only one who really needs to die...." Malacoda's voice echoed. He turned, still atop the roof, and shot at Kurumi. Then shot again. And again. And again.

Kurumi knew already huh... I called Shepherd back and got my mask out of Shepherd's backpack. I put on Shepherd's gas mask on him as well putting Claude on his back. Shepherd rushed out towards Kurumi and Luke. I found out Jay was more further away but he was slightly affected by the gas. He told me where he saw the strange man on the roof. I jumped out the window and saw Yuki at the edge of the roof above me. I called Shepherd over after he dropped off Claude and climbed the roof seeing the man Jay described to me. I looked at the person, Malacoda XXX uses a hand gun and a sword of a snake or something. One of the people wanted by police, no by FBI. I quickly took action getting down and swinging my legs to make him fall down...

 

~-~Claude~-~

I woke up to my nerves suddenly being affected I felt like I couldn't even speak. But I saw Zed put me on Shepherd's back and took me to a much safer area. I gasped for breath and tried to crawl further away from the building as Shepherd ran to Zed's calling. Then I could see a figure on the roof of the building shooting at Kurumi. "I got to do something!" I thought to myself and checked for my bag that was still there.

I fell asleep as I finish as much as I could on the book...

(Shepherd had a gas mask? :blink:)"No one's prepared...not even your leader was. Who will lead when she's gone...? And...will they be prepared...? Or will the entire Mekakushi Clan...crumble under their own weight...?" Malacoda questioned curiously, entangling his snake sword around Zed's leg, coiled like a whip, and snapping it against Zed before reverting into a solid sword. He still had a gun held tightly in hand, Sarin gas spreading, and gas mask secured. If Claude, Kurumi, and Yuki lied even outside where they were, they would die. Luke had an even higher chance of death, actually, even though it was Kurumi who had been shot multiple times.

I got down on one leg, "..." Then took out my dual pistols I shot at his legs pinning his feet to the roof. Then I shot the sword out of his hand out of reach from him. Shepherd got Yuki and got out of there quickly. Once he reached the others he motioned them to follow him out of there.

Yuki crashed onto the ground behind the house. He was severely wounded, but not dead yet. He struggle back to his feet and made it to the chaos on the other side. "Hey!" He shouted at Malacoda. "Hope you don't mind, but I slipped you a little present!" He pressed the button, igniting the miniature, but highly compresses explosive he had attached to the psychotic bastard. Boom.
