My five saddest video game music pieces

5. Credits theme (Yoshi's Story)

4. Roxas' theme (KH series)

3. The Time-Space Rift (Sonic the Hedgehog (2006))

2. Iris theme-Music box version (Professor Layton and Pandora's Box)

1. Xion's theme (KH series)

 

This will probably get locked or deleted, as I am sure that other people here have already made similar threads.

 

Otherwise, I would appreciate some responses.

Xion's Theme first, huh? No surprise there, it is a melancholic theme after all. That, and Xion has one of, if not the most tragic stories in the Kingdom Hearts series. Some fans don't want her to come back but I do.

Roxas theme is deffs up there, To Zanarkand also makes me sad.

Hm...I'd put Xion's theme first, myself...if The Other Promise as a whole weren't so sad. It was sad as Roxas' theme, but in Birth By Sleep it was highly depressing.

I just listened to it. To me, sad themes are generally slow-paced (all of the music pieces on the list are), and I do not think that 'The Other Promise' was particularly sad. That is just my opinion, though.
