Not so much that Max wouldn't fit in, but after 7 games it would be a little strange if he showed up and Goofy was like "Oh yeah this is my son I haven't seen in over 2 years, I guess I forgot to mention that I'm a Dad. Dave 5,715 Posted September 2, 2013 Actually, the fact that Goofy never mentioned Max would add a ton of depth to the level of estrangement in their relationship, which we see in A Goofy Movie. Goofy never mentioned it because Max doesn't want him in his life any more, and Goofy feels sadness and regret thinking about it.
