Dio Brando 5,810 Posted August 29, 2013 It's been a while since the last entry in the crystal chronicles series(I mean the Crystal Bearer on the Wii not the "My life as a king" WiiWare title) And I gotta ask,Will Square continue this series or come up with a new spin-off series??? To be honest, the only Crystal Chronicles game that I loved was Ring of Fates on the DS....that game was really good but the ending was stupid (a.k.a it has the Sonic 06 ending syndrome) the other entries are ranged from average to mediocre, and Echoes of Time screams Ultimate laziness from Square Enix If Square is gonna continue this series on either the 3DS or Wii U...they should at least try to put a little bit more effort to it. Otherwise they should stop the Crystal Chronicles sub-series entirely or make a spin-off that is worth playing

Also, i think maybe Square might be too wrapped up with LR FF XIII and FF XV to get back to this right now, hence why they havent continued it yet. It's a sub series started on the GameCube to replace the main series for Nintendo fans who missed on 7,8 and 9 It has multiple entries released on the GBA,GameCube,DS and Wii It's a more beginner friendly version of Final Fantasy with Action RPG elements instead of Turn based combat The last title released for the series was FF Crystal Chronicles Crystal Bearer on the Wii Edited August 30, 2013 by Metal Snake

Can you tell me the names of the entries, and what consoles they're individually for? I want to look into this.

It follows the tales of two Clavat twins, Yuri and Chelinka, as well as the Yuke Alhanalem, the Selkie Gnash, and the Lilty Meeth Crym. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King is a spin off of the original game for the Nintendo Wii via download on WiiWare. It takes place directly after the original game when the Miasma has cleared up and the young King Leo begins to restore his Kingdom. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord is a sequel to My Life as a King for the Nintendo Wii via download on WiiWare. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time is a sequel to Ring of Fates yet still a prequel to the original for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii systems. It is the story of a girl named Sherlotta and a mysterious crystal. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers is a sequel game for the Nintendo Wii. It follows the story of a young mercenary named Layle." Source: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_Crystal_Chronicles

If you want my honest opinion The only ones that are worth checking are: the original Crystal Chronicles on GameCube,Ring of Fates on the DS and Crystal Bearer on the Wii The rest are ranged from meh to mediocre

Setrex 1,031 Posted September 2, 2013 Echoes of Time was the first one I tried and even then it was the Wii version and not the DS version (which is supposedly the better version). I'd definitely like to see another Crystal Chronicles game come out. On the Wii U any ways, or heck even the 3DS. I was always a fan of the action Rpg combat system regardless if EoT was a little on the eh side. It was enjoyable though.
