Anime | Manga Naruto, DBZ, Bleach, and One Piece: Overrated or not, that is the question.

Well my question that I was going to do today here it is it's like 5 hours later because I fell asleep (f u sleep I hate you so much) anyways I decided to do an Anime question today instead of a video game question so for those of you who have watched and or read any of the four do you think the shows themselves are over rated or do you just think that the hype they get is enough.  

 

One piece i'm ok with the hype

Naruto meh it's good just doesn't need all the hype

bleach the hype isn't needed

Dbz it's good just people still gush over it somehow sells millions of copies every year of the same story but whatever

 

Also no one should bash on someone because the opinion they have is different form yours. I say this because I feel like this is a somewhat weird topic to talk about since so many people have so many different answers and feel different ways.

i like the original dragonball series, not so much dbz. bleach is simply just highly overrated. One piece is meh for me but i can kind of see why people like it. Naruto should have ended shortly after the pain saga

There is not a single popular work that hasn't been criticized as overrated at some point.  What does it matter if something "deserves" its popularity, and whether or not it does, who's anyone to make that judgement?  Let people like what they like and if you dislike it, insult the work, not its fans or its popularity.

One Piece just doesn't look goodNaruto is alright, but the story got bland after a while, or that's what my 11 year old self thought at the time, so I might rewatch itBleach is great. It starts off strange, but eventually kicks off into a great story and has a few fillers in between, but it's still goodDragon Ball Z is something I used to watch with my cousin when I was really little, and I remember having a blast watching it with him, but I never really have taken the time to watch an episode

I didn't really mean it like that I just meant do you guys feel as if the hype it gets is ok with you and you think it should get that hype and i wasn't trying to insult the popularity just saying that in certain ways in my eyes things are to popular in my opinion just like how other people i know in real life think persona and other games and anime are to popular i just wanted to see what you guys thought in your opinion i personally like each and everyone of them to a certain extend I just wanted to see how other people felt about them and your correct we don't the power to make the judgement but I personally just thought it would be something everyone has a different opinion that they think just as this is what you thought as well i just wanted to see how people who watched those shows felt about them

well i really like all four of those manga so i feel like i cant say that they dont deserve the hype when i like them so much especially since i'm sad that bleach will end after this Quincy thing and i have a feeling Naruto will end with Obito, but then again Kishimoto could always just add on something random that will cause people to complain while i will continue to enjoy the series.

DBZ is only good with nostalgia goggles.

Naruto used to be good, but Kishi has no idea what he's doing.

Bleach is fun and has began to become good again.

I don't think any of them are over-rated. They're all pretty great in their own way.

 

I find One Piece to be kind of boring though, Naruto is one of my favorite anime/manga, Bleach was good but got worse as time went on. Like a lot worse. DBZ was pretty epic and if it wasn't for DBZ we wouldn't have any of the other three.

Yes I do feel like they're overrated, but that's not to say they're not good of course all of this I've watched and still do. With DBZ I loved it since I was a little kid, I still remember me just hogging the t.v to watch DBZ with my cousin and try and help Goku with the spirit bomb or yell Kamehameha like idiots, but it's just that the nostalgia factor of it plus the fact that it majorly influenced most modern and not so modern shounen anime/mangas. Naruto I really like and still watch both the anime and read the manga but I really don't like how other characters don't get major development like Sasuke and Naruto which I think is a huge flaw of Naruto and the story feels a bit convoluted sometimes but it's still good. Bleach started off really badass and awesome but as time went on it lost all of that and I know a lot of people that just plain stopped paying attention to it plus all of that pointless fillers and recaps didn't help, but I gotta say the new arch is so far top notch and feels like when bleach started and it's really cool, though I do hate the fact that Ichigo is basically the most weirdly mixed mothertrucker ever. One Piece at first I didn't enjoy it mainly because the art style was such a turn off but I gave it a try and I really liked it but it just feels so dragged on that there's no ending in sight which might or might not be bad depending of what you think but I do like how characters get development and all that. So in conclusion are they overrated? yes I do feel like they are, do they deserve the hype? Some of it since this are all really good anime/mangas, but in the end it all comes down to personal opinion and I like them all.

One Piece is awesome, I just wish it wasn't so long. Naruto was good until Shippuden happened. And I've only seen like the first 12 episodes of Bleach and didn't like it, the story doesn't interest me. I never watched DBZ so I can't say anything about it. Anyway, I'm okay with all the hype these anime and manga gets. They're popular because a lot of people like them. Can't change what people like.

Bleach plain sucks, I can't stand it. Everyone's either an anti-social emo or on a sugar rush 24/7.

I haven't seen much DBZ yet, but I'm reading the original DB now, I really like it.

One Piece is great, it's not worthy of the "Best series ever" title, but it's definitely one of my favorites.

 

I could have a whole paragraph for Naruto... To sum it up shortly: MY FAVORITE SERIES EVER. The original series was awesome, and Shippuden is my favorite anime ever. Soul Eater, Sword Art Online, and Naruto Part 1 come close, but Shippuden is just amazing. The storyline is fantastic, the characters and their development is spectacular, the fight scenes are the best I've ever seen, and there are some seriously emotional moments. Not to mention it's soundtrack rivals that of Kingdom Hearts and The World Ends With You. It's definitely not overrated, it's a legendary series and deserves its title. A lot of people say it's dragged on too long, but I disagree. It's a series I don't want to see end, at least for a while. And now people are going to call me a crazy fanboy or something...

Naruto is the DB of this generation.

 

One Piece is phenomenal.

 

Bleach is good, too. Haven't seen much of it though, but I'm working at it.

yeah they're overrated 

one piece: it looks kinda creepy

naruto: it was okay until it got to after the pain arc, then i just gave up with the series because it got boring

bleach: im watching it right now, nothing special or badass about it. I have a feeling it will go a bit downhill after the arrancar arc since in near the end of that arc now

dbz: meh

but yeah, they dont really deserve all that hype that they get.

Dragon Ball Z is AMAZING. Its what got me into Anime, and i still enjoy it.

 

Naruto is good, i like what i see ATM.

 

One Piece is INCREDIBLE. I like it more then Naruto, and i think i like it as much as i like DBZ.

 

Bleach......its ok. THe action scenes look good, but from what ive seen, i dont like it as much as the 3 above.

Overrated and any of these titles, they cant be in the same sentence unless you're saying, "DBZ Naruto One Piece and Bleach are not overrated"

 

DBZ, FREAKIN EPIC! The action, the characters, the story, AWESOME! Especially the great hero Goku, flippin epic! Heroic and never grim no matter what, always ready for a challenge. AWESOMENESS!

Naruto, cmon how can someone hate it? Its about ninjas, how can you dis ninjas? Not to mention I can really relate to the characters which makes it that much more epic. A boy loses his parents before getting the chance to meet them and practically grows up alone, he endures all that pain and years later those who hated him call him comrade. Its amazing!

One Piece, HECK YES! Pirates with crazy powers, whole crew of diverse characters lead by a boy who dreams of one day becoming the pirate king, gotta love it! Not to mention the dedication Luffy has to his crew, taking on crazy circumstances to keep each member safe.

Bleach, alright of the four of them I'm mostly lost on this one. However, its pretty good considering, good action though atm confusing. (not to mention the former mmpr black ranger does Ichigo's voice)
