rho 9 Posted May 13, 2010 We all know about North Korea and how much of a problem they're being. They keep threatening to launch nuclear missiles at America, (mostly Hawaii) and Japan. Every time has been an epic fail, but what if they shot a missile at Honolulu and it made it? Also, if they shot one at Japan, I'm certain that America and the rest of NATO would fight back. North Korea has no more allies. China is PO'ed at them, and Russia isn't exactly fond of them either. If North Korea were to do a successful attack, look at all the allies America could have (excluding the USA for obvious reasons) -Canada -France -UK -Ireland -Australia -Japan (give them a military again and they'd probably be really damn powerful) -New Zealand -South Korea -China (if they sided against us, it would be a huge economic loss for them. We're a huge business partner.) -Russia (thanks to Obama not being a dumbass like Bush and getting Russia angry, we're getting really close to an alliance.) -Albania -Belgium -Bulgaria -Croatia -Czech Republic -Denmark -Estonia -Germany -Greece -Hungary -Iceland -Italy -Latvia -Lithuania -Luxembourg -Netherlands -Norway -Poland -Portugal -Romania -Slovakia -Slovenia -Spain -Turkey -Israel -India -And possibly even more. Now, granted, only some of them would most likely participate. But still. Let's just say it was just America, Canada, The UK, Australia, France, Japan, China, Russia, and South Korea participating. America, Russia, and France have the largest amount of nuclear weapons in the world. We could easily turn North Korea into a crater with the amount of power that we have with us. So, let's say North Korea launches a missile to Honolulu. It makes it. Obama would more than likely not hesitate to gather some allies and attack back. South Korea would definitely want to help, China can't risk losing the business from America (they have a threat from them as well), Russia has a threat from them, Japan could be given a military again and would definitely help us, and I can pretty much guarantee that a lot of NATO members would help us too. What is wrong with Kim Jong-il? What is driving him to want to attack one of the biggest powers in the world? He's close to death by old age, but who knows if his son knows the right stuff to do? North Korea is a rather small, ally-less country. Something needs to be done to get them to knock their BS off before it ends up a ghost country. It just takes one attack from their end for them to get their asses handed to them. The end result could end up in something that would make Hiroshima and Nagasaki look like a elementary school science fair project. So, what do you think? What could be done to stop such a disaster? Cellar Door 652 Posted May 13, 2010 north korea? really? isn't the problem right now the batshat crazy guy leading iran? and can you explain real fast to me why the snap they'd go for honolulu first? o-o
Chronic Tumor 149 Posted May 14, 2010 Obama would more than likely not hesitate to gather some allies and attack back. You really don't know anything, do you. He/Hillary Clinton would publicly be shocked and horrified and would say that they would be striking back, but all they would do would amount to slapping the write of SK. Sorage55 10 Posted May 14, 2010 I don't understand politics, I don't get into politics, I HATE politics. So summing up what small info I know about North Korea and the scary leader plotting missles to us.......someone should just get under disguise or have a man on the inside and assasinate him Abraham Lincoln style YO! I mean, c'mon.....he's a bad guy, SHOOT HIM IN THE HEAD! SHOOT HIM IN THE HEAD! Am I being stupid by saying this?
Cellar Door 652 Posted May 14, 2010 the us can't do that. On December 4, 1981, President Ronald Reagan issued Executive Order 12333 on
rho 9 Posted May 14, 2010 north korea? really? isn't the problem right now the batshat crazy guy leading iran? and can you explain real fast to me why the snap they'd go for honolulu first? o-o It's the easiest target for them (in terms of the USA) and it's been their main target. They have yet to not commit an epic fail, though.
Tom 437 Posted May 15, 2010 So if I do the math: North Korea is like a midget He starts a fight US and NATO are like 10 big giant strong guys involved, but are together They beat their ass in one month and get the hell out of there I see no point of North Korea sending missles. If I was Kim Jong-il, I would piss my pants if that missle were to hit Honolulu, or even the U.S.
rho 9 Posted May 17, 2010 A war against North Korea probably wouldn't even last a month. Maybe a week and a half. Unless they allied with some countries like Iran or something, North Korea wouldn't have allies. If they did make it to Honululu or somewhere on the West coast, or hell, even Japan, They would be SCREWED. The United States has the second largest amount of nuclear weapons in the world. Russia has the highest, and France has the third highest. We're good allies with France, and we're on good terms with Russia now and they're not thrilled with North Korea either. Even if it was just the USA and France, we could easily destroy North Korea. It could end up completely uninhabitable. If nuclear weapons were not used by us or any allies, still. With the HUGE amount of troops that could be deployed by NATO, we could still probably easily defeat North Korea in less than a month. If all of NATO, and predicted allies such as China and Australia, entered North Korea, that'd be about 38 countries against one little small country. Hell, even NATO with only current members vs North Korea wouldn't last long. Kim Jong-Il will probably die pretty soon, and IIRC, his son will take over. We can only hope his son will not have whatever mental illness that Kim Jong-il has. (assumption, yeah, but an accurate one if you're screwing with countries that have a crapload of nuclear weapons and huge militaries) People underestimate France, by the way. Yes, they have the third largest amount of nuclear weapons, and their army is pretty powerful too. 5th most powerful in the world. They aren't weak. Phill Devil 48 Posted May 20, 2010 well, this guys thinks he's Lu Bu, just like that because he has a nuclear bomb. Anyways, I'm not even into it here at Brazil, about the international cases they only talk about Iran, theyr nuclear projects and our dumbass president Lu
Vanitas 127 Posted May 21, 2010 Lu Bu beast in han dynasty ( i think ) If most countries "seem" to have distaste for North Korea starting a dam* nuke war isnt gonna help if Nkorea gets nuked horrbily people in other countries could detest the USA and allies and then possibloy world war 3 might happen
Tom 437 Posted May 21, 2010 I don't think we'll be using nuclear weapons though. I mean, yeah Korea may use nukes and hit us, but what happens after we're done with them (after using our nukes)? Wouldn't countries become afraid of each other using nukes against one country. If that happens, something tells me that one country will declare war one on another, and then bam! We're back in World War III, and who knows if nuclear warfare begins there. It may sound odd and just a thought, but I don't like the idea of using nuclear warfare, especially when 10 countries are sending nukes at North Korea. I get this bad feeling
Phill Devil 48 Posted May 21, 2010 the things were so easier when we just had swords, spears, bows and giant keys
rho 9 Posted May 28, 2010 If Japan got a military again, they should use swords. Hell, cops apparently do. With North Korea undeniably sinking that South Korean ship and causing massive casualties, they're on even thinner ice. Kim Jong-Il, just die already. A problem with us, France, or anyone else firing a nuclear missile at North Korea would be the fallout, which is deadly radioactive dust that is released after a nuclear explosion. It takes about a week for it to go away, and spreads over a very large area. Fallout would most likely end up in Japan, South Korea, Russia, and China. Which we don't want. It's a tough situation indeed. Once Kim Jong-Il dies any day now, hopefully the country will shape up. Hell, in years time there could finally just be Korea, and no North/South horsecrap. That's hoping his son, who would take over, would know his father was a lunatic and wasn't doing anything right. I'm generally anti-war but if it's really necessary and it's come to a time where there won't be any discussions to end it peacefully, you just gotta do it. Korean War II would last maybe a day anyway. With NATO's power and Russia and China most likely aiding NATO (Australia too, most likely. I'd say Japan but they couldn't be very involved unless they got authorization to get a military again.), North Korea would be screwed, especially considering how the closest thing to an ally they have is Iran. Giginha 22 Posted June 4, 2010 As far as I know Japan wouldn't be doing anything, since the bombs that hit Hiroshima and Nagasako they said that they wouldn't be participating in any wars and they probably won't. And another thing, why would North Corea want to start a new World War? (Because it surely would start if this incident happened) And put Brazil in your list of allies, our president is so stupid that would put us into a stupid war like the one you're describing. Geralt 4,874 Posted June 5, 2010 Ya North Korea is having a nasty war they don't even allow facebook, myspace, or twitter or any social network in there country they don't want us in other countries trying to find out more detail of whats happening there. Amon 4,279 Posted June 5, 2010 In a recent news report they are giving what nuclear secrets they have to Burma, another rouge state. This proves we were right about North Korea giving nuclear weapons or technology to create those weapons to countries who would use them for the wrong reasons. If a war between North and South Korea breaks out again we better make sure NK is completely controlled with the people liberated and educated about the outside world and Kim dead or in prison. rho 9 Posted June 5, 2010 ^ Kim's going to die any day now anyway. IIRC he's had cancer twice. As far as I know Japan wouldn't be doing anything, since the bombs that hit Hiroshima and Nagasako they said that they wouldn't be participating in any wars and they probably won't. And another thing, why would North Corea want to start a new World War? If North Korea attacked Japan, I don't think they'd just let NATO fight back. Their military can do self-defense, and that's it. Regardless, there isn't a doubt in my mind that at least the USA would not only help Japan fight back, but bring in relief aid. If we did it for Haiti, we'd definitely do it for Japan, which in present day is one of our closest allies. As for Brazil, I dunno. They might not want to get involved but if the situation called for them to pick a side it would most likely indeed be with America and its allies. they don't want us in other countries trying to find out more detail of whats happening there.Look how well that's working... I just hope this can get resolved peacefully and we won't need to resort to violence. But if we need to, so be it. Korean War II is quite likely. Hopefully if that happens it will end with North & South merging and just becoming Korea.

You don't know the Brazil I know, I'm sure our president would put us into a war in which one of our allies was involved, even if we don't have anything to do with it. It's a normal behavior of our leaders.
Ventuswind 4 Posted June 5, 2010 Im Italian and Catholic so I dont believe in war but NK is being a real Ass hole. i mean seriously. it likes he wants to get his big fat @$$ handed to him. I agree with Rho. if NK has any balls to bomb hawaii or any other one of our allies it will seriously be a little crater next to SK.( or maybe in the future just Korea if we blow up and fallout NK.) as much as i want it peacefully Rho I think this end up in violence and death. Just like with germany in the 1940's.
rho 9 Posted June 6, 2010 The problem with using nukes to attack NK is that fallout would reach nearby countries, many of which are our allies or close to allies. If somehow North Korea ends up with a weapon that can make it to Hawaii without nosediving into the ocean, and they nuke Hawaii, they're screwed. If all of NATO plus other countries (i.e Australia, Russia) got a bunch of troops and invaded North Korea, they'd be screwed beyond belief.

While 1 well trained NATO soldier is the equivalent of 10 conscripted NK soldiers, as we learned from the last war in Korea they have the defending advantage and in the jungles that will be rough. rho 9 Posted June 7, 2010 Just remember North Korea has the largest army in the world. You're telling me that a country that's smaller than most states of America has the largest army in the world. Even so, America + rest of NATO + Australia + Russia + China in an alliance against North Korea = bigger, regardless
Ventuswind 4 Posted June 7, 2010 I agree with rho (LOL @ photo) and yet again who needs an army when us and Russia can simply A-Bomb them when they get annoying.

Even so, America + rest of NATO + Australia + Russia + China in an alliance against North Korea = bigger, regardless China and Russia will most likely stay neutral in a war against NK considering they were former communist countries. However we are talking about peace time armies. Literally every able bodied man (which in NK means you can walk) either joins the army or dies. Also let me correct myself, they have the third largest army in the world as of 2010. Right now china has the largest. I was thinking of a statistic from about 2007.
