Nope.  Those 7 are the ones we were able to play or party with as main party members.  Notice how Donald and Goofy were there too.  They're just showing us the main characters that led the story for the 6 stories told so far, before Dream Drop Distance, characterized as books. Honestly, don't expect anyone there to be one of the seven.  Nomura is a tricky old coot!  He'll troll you to death if you let him!

But my prediction:

Sora

Riku

Ven

Aqua

Roxas

LeaKairi

Mainly cause I believe the Runaway Brain Theory, Terra has been confirmed to be a Seeker of Darkness, Xion is still forgotten, Eraqus is in Terra, Yen Sid is too old, and that's about it.

You know what would be nuttier then nutty professor 2?! What if Xehanort and everyone has this whole thing wrong and the people who we think are the 7 lights are actually the 13 seekers of darkness (I mean if you think about it, every playable character ends up seeking the darkness after all!)

I mean if we look at all the important heroes...

Sora

Riku

Kairi

Mickey

Donald

Goofy

Roxas

Xion

Axel

Terra

Aqua

Ventus

That already makes 12, with only one missing, which could be Yen Sid since he has been having more of a role lately in the KH games!

The only prob is that I really wouldn't know what to think of Orginization XIII (take 2) if what I said was right! ><

Btw hi first post! :D Huge fan of the series and just wanted to share a random thought that appeared in my head! Sorry if it seems stupid.

The only issue is Disney... Fans... Plot relevance, actual reasoning for doing this... Ect, but your theory stands... On a single leg.

I'd refer you to RoxSox's thread, but I really don't know where it went. Anyways, in the Disney short Runaway Brain, Julius switches brains with Mickey and takes over his body.In every Kingdom Hearts Numbered Title (3D and BbS are considered on par with these numbered titles), there are secret bosses that privy information for the final boss of the next big game. Kingdom Hearts 1: Final MixEnigmatic Man > Xemnas (Kingdom Hearts 2)Kingdom Hearts 2: Final MixLingering Will > Terranort (Birth by Sleep)Birth by SleepMysterious Figure > Young Master Xehanort (Dream Drop Distance)Dream Drop DistanceJulius > Mickeynort (Kingdom Hearts 3) It is a viable theory and I strongly believe it will happen.  It is Disney canon, so Mickey falling into darkness wouldn't be as big as you'd make it out to seem.  Since it's technically Julius falling into darkness, it's fine. Actually forget it... Here are the seven lights: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/58375-7-lights/

Runaway brain theory?What's that about?

Basically, the theory is based around a Mickey Mouse cartoon and the fact that most of the secret bosses have been in future games. The theory is that Mickey and Julius will switch brains, but there are plot errors with this that would make no sense, one being that KH is about the Heart and not the Brain.

Kingdom Hearts 1: Final Mix

Enigmatic Man > Xemnas (Kingdom Hearts 2)Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix

Lingering Will > Terranort (Birth by Sleep)Birth by Sleep

Mysterious Figure > Young Master Xehanort (Dream Drop Distance)Dream Drop Distance

Julius > Mickeynort (Kingdom Hearts 3)

You're not getting the point of my argument. Micky FREAKING mouse being turned evil, physically or mentally, is not OK in most fan's eyes, and remember, these were all Final Mix, not complete versions, also gameplay and story wise, Julius-Mickey would be worthless in battle and as a boss.

I don't think it's THAT big of deal.  Fans can cry all they want, Kingdom Hearts has already become darker.  Final Mixes are technically complete versions of the games.  Dream Drop Distance seems complete enough and doesn't look like it will get a Final Mix either.  Unless a Final Mix for it pops up, I'm standing by this theory.  RoxSox's presentation of it convinced me, not backing down.  Also, fighting a small boss would be incredibly hard.  I imagine him to be very fast and for gameplay that would be very interesting.  Nomura is pulling out all the stops for this one, I'm expecting Mickeynort.

Birth by Sleep had it's dark moments.  Although Dream Eaters maybe fun and bubbly, a lot of 3D was darker compared to the tone of the whole series.

Well, I have high standards for "dark", I do say the series has been categorized "CoroCoro" genre for the time being.

Well... It's Kingdom Hearts we're talking about here, of course it won't have masochistic, sadistic, gore, killing, unnecessary violence.  I've seen much darker things, but it's definitely moved down the scale.

Eeeh, disagree on both counts. 3D has the big reveal, but since nothing comes of it, it's not really all that dark. Also, although BBS has a dramatic ending, I feel the over all tone of the game is not dark at all (I also don't think the ending is all that sad).

KH1 and Days have the darkest elements in my opinion.

Those do not define "dark" to me, saturation of those break my interest.

I do say the discussions nourishes my soul, and I guess I can say is the more assumptions made, make the series evermore interesting, let us hope it feeds to all.

1: The darkest KH has ever actually gotten was 358, and that one was suppose to be depressing due to the fact it was suppose to explain Roxas' actions.

2: I don't count Final Mix games as complete, seeing as the new features added in are more or less just ROM hax with conceptual trailers and concepts that Nomura thought he would put in, but didn't know if he would.

3: To me, it seems that ALL the FM games are complete previously to, but then they add in some excess features to make it somewhat better.

4: Strike Raid, Following magic, Stopza, the fact Julius would carry his weakness to fire and Megaflare would be devastating to him, Ven would be faster, Sora can do practically everything Mickey can do but far better, Aqua can use Mines, the Command Styles, multiple fishers, trailing magics, Reflect and counter barrier, Riku has Dark Firaga, many more things. Basically, everyone can hurt him with easy, but this is a basic list of things that will deal heavy damage.

5: To add to your argument on the fact every FM numbered title has had an important secret boss, let me riddle you this, why would Nomura let out ANY KH3 hints? No one knew BBS was coming, nor KH2 or what to expect from it. The secret coated man wouldn't be YMX since he would use more Time based attacks, the MF is a Null using character, like Xemnas. So after a long chain of them, giving us this huge list of possibility's for the next games boss, why would he keep following this formula? It would become too obvious to fans and ruin one of the important parts to the story every KH fan has been pining for. Plus, Nomura likes to Troll, we've seen this before, take EVERYTHING he dose with a tablespoon of salt.

6: on the darkness debate, KH3D and BBS weren't dark, really, they were sad story's, yes, but the darkest thing I really found in BBS is Xehanort willing to let Ven die for his need to forge the X-Blade, and 3DS' was a little... Sadder than normal, but it wasn't dark or really depressing. The darkest moments were really Sora falling into slumber, and that was barely dark at all, though The Grid was depressing, it was somewhat dark, but not overall a dark section, it being only one world really with a dark undertone to it.

Like this man said,

I'll throw in my theory.

The Seven Lights

Sora

Kairi

Riku

Aqua

Terra

Ventus

Mickey

Sora: Why Sora? He's the hero. he's been there since the beginning, and his heart is a -1 Henderson. He alone is the one who can bring back the lost, and by god, he'll do a damn fine job.

Kairi: Why? Because the secret ending of DDD. "Another Guardian of Light." She might be a Princess, but if I may send your attention to Merida from Brave and Mulan? Princesses can be kickass. And where did it say the Princesses can't defend themselves?

Riku: Need I REALLY EXPLAIN THIS?

Aqua: ...Moving on.

Terra: Why? Mickey said as much. His THREE friends. Data-Namine even said mentioned him as one who had to be saved. This leads me to believe Terra is one of the Lights.

Ventus: Pure light. Can kick ass. Heart in Sora. Check.

Mickey: I swear if I need to explain this I will strangle you.

BUT. I don't think they will fight alone. In DDD we learned Sora's heart could bring back those without hearts. Which means Sora can screw the rules, and bring back Roxas and Xion. But that's not all - Namine was created by Kairi's Heart leaving HIM, meaning you could have Namine with them as well!

But, let's not stop there. We can also throw Lea into the picture. Why? He's a Keyblade Wielder. He's LEA.

Finally, Donald and Goofy. Huzzah!

Oh my. Let's count.

Seven Lights.

The Twilight Town Trio.

Namine.

Donald.

Goofy.

7

3

1

+ 2

  13

13 vs 13. How about that!

Thank you, feel free to pick my ideas apart. Not that I'll change my ideas :P

Flaming Lea, on 12 Aug 2013 - 12:56 AM, said:Nomura already stated the opening isn't canon and that we might be surprised at who the 7 really are ...Meaning they are not confirmed .Just a silly joke, but imagine if half of the 13 Darknesses made up the 7 Lights. xD
