Some Nintendo Games I'd Love to See Come to Wii U/3DS

Recommended Posts

I've had a few ideas for first party games I'd love to see be released sometime soon on either Wii U or 3DS, and decided to post my ideas here because why not? (Note: I'm not including anything obvious, like Zelda U.)

1. Pokemon Snap 2 (Wii U)

Anyone else remember Pokemon Snap for the N64? When I first saw the Gamepad, one of my first ideas for how it could be used would be as a camera in a Pokemon Snap sequel. The gyroscope could be used to zoom in and find the perfect picture taking angle, and it would still have plenty of buttons for the other features of the vehicle used in Snap. My main issue with the original Snap was that it was too short and only had a few Pokemon, but with the Wii U's hardware capabilities, there's no excuse not to include all 649 (or even more if it's released during Gen VI) Pokemon, and a multitude of stages. It probably wouldn't be a huge game, but an eShop release would make me happy, and keep me entertained for quite a while.

2. Pokemon Ranger 4 (3DS)

I've honestly only played the first Ranger game, so I don't know too much about the franchise. I do think that seeing it all in 3D would be awesome, though. I mean, imagine zipping around on a Dodrio in a full 3D environment (Yeah, rideable Pokemon in Gen VI, I know, blah blah, it'd be cool though)

3. Mother Collection (3DS)

With the return of EarthBound on the Wii U, I believe that if the sales do well, something to this effect would be very possible. A lot of fans want to see Mother 3 get an international release, and I'm sure that a Mother 1 international release would be welcome, too. I'd imagine it'd be in 3D, but it could be in the regular, untouched format too. I'd be fine either way.

4. Final Fantasy IV-VI HD (Wii U)

FF's main series hasn't gotten a Nintendo home console treatment since FFVI was released. A lot of people want HD remakes of some older FF games, and Square seems to enjoy making them. So, why not release the three SNES (IV, V, and VI) FF games on the Wii U? They originated on Nintendo systems after all, so it'd make the most sense for an HD remake to return to a Nintendo system. Bonus points if it includes I, II, and III!

5. Super Mario Galaxy 3/Super Mario 64-style game (Wii U)

I don't care if it's a Galaxy game, or a newer concept, we need a SM64 style game on the Wii U, maybe with even more stars than just 120! These types of games are loved by Mario fans everywhere, so why not make a new one? (Super Mario 3D World doesn't count, it doesn't have the star system that 64 type games do) I'm sure the Gamepad could be used for missions in all sorts of innovative ways!

6. The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D (3DS)

Ocarina of Time was released on 3DS. A lot of fans want MM on 3DS. Heck, it's even been mentioned by Nintendo before. Why not make it?

7. Star Fox U (Wii U)

We haven't had a Star Fox game since Command on the NDS (Not counting the SF64 remake on 3DS). It's about time for our favorite Arwing pilot team to make a return, and to the big screen/gamepad. What if we saw our ship as usual on the TV, and got a first person view on the Gamepad? It could even have the Gyro features from SF643D using the Gamepad.

8. Kingdom Hearts (Wii U)

Yeah, yeah, gonna get hate for this one. I really don't care if it's a new game like 3, or something like 1.5/2.5 If 1.5 or 2.5 were to come to Wii U, I'd still get the PS3 versions, but KH has a huge Nintendo fanbase going, too. I'd like to see them get some sort of KH home console treatment, too. (Please, no complaining or "The hardware isn't good enough" about this one. It's just an idea, please don't get mad.)

So, what do you all think about these?

EDIT: I thought of a few more, too

9. Animal Crossing U (Wii U)

Yeah, I know that New Leaf is still recent, but I'm still curious what the likely Wii U release would have. I'm sure it'll happen soon, though.

10. Paper Mario U (Wii U)

Once again, Sticker Star is still fairly new. However, I'd like to see a PM game that returns to its roots, and features similar gameplay to that of the first 2.

I want a full 3d point a to point b 3d mario game, not another damn collectathon. And I fully agree with you about the kingdom hearts part, but i want 1.5, 2.5, and 3 on the console. I've never been a big starfox fan but I see why people like it. pokemon snap 2- all of my yes. I've never really cared about majoras mask. We've already had ff4remade twice, but I definitely want a ff6 remake that is fully 3d kind of like ff15. Anything that has anything to do with mother i want.

I honestly don't see why they didn't put HD Remix on Wii U it would've made sense considering that like 4 of the 7 games (not counting Re Chain) are on Nintendo systems

There's already NSMBU and Super Mario 3D World for that, though. ._. I enjoyed to collectathon type games, I think it's a likely release. If KH1.5, 2.5, and 3 were to all come to Wii U, I'd be VERY happy. Also, as for the FF ones, I know FF4's been remade too many times to count, but an HD remake similar in art style to XIII or XV would be welcomed by me. V and VI definitely need remakes, though, and Wii U would be the best console choice.

It's probably since the series began on PS2. Still, it'd be a welcomed addition to the Wii U, by me and many others.

I've actually thought that Pokemon Snap 2 would be a great game for the 3DS for quite a while now, due to the portable's motion sensors and 3D effects. Of course I'd love to see the game come out on the WiiU too.

By the way, this'll probably never happen, but I'd love to see FFIX come to a Nintendo platform.  Personally, I think that the game's light heartedness and cartoony look would make it much more at home on a Nintendo console or handheld than on a Sony or Xbox system.

The Gamepad is what had me sold on Pokemon Snap U. It'd work well for 3DS too, but the added bonus of the Gamepad would be a perfect fit for the game.

It probably would fit, but for whatever reason SE refuses to bring anything originally on a Sony system to a Nintendo system, but the other way around is perfectly fine to them...

I can only imagine a PR4 for Wii U. If 1.5/likely2.5 weren't coming to PS3 only, and instead were being ported to Wii U as well, and that was coming out, I would sell my PS3 on EBay and buy a Wii U with the money plus scraps I find on occasion.

I'd imagine PR4 on the 3DS since it's always been a handheld series, but the gamepad could work similarly to the touch screen... PR in full HD... *Drools*

Also, I'd probably still get them on PS3 since I'm used to that control type for KH. There are other PS3 games I need anyway. I plan to get both consoles, too.

It would be amazing. AMAZING. I never got the chance to play PR1, but 2 was my favorite of the series, since it was still hard at times, but not too difficult and the story was rather enjoyable, as were the side quests(Save for the Evolution fetchquest) my favorite being probably one of the more difficult quests, where you have to catch a Celibi and use it to try and heal the burned down forest's damage. PR3 was barely hard to play, and the story wasn't too good, but I liked it all the same, and the Captures were neat and the fact you can replay the final boss just by flying to the area and using a special Ranger Symbol was cool. The Ranger Symbol system was a cool thing, but made the game much more easy, and the plot wasn't too terribly good compared to my favorite of series. But a Wii U version would be a hole nother ballpark. I would love to use my T.V. to see which Pokemon I was catching and all that, as I use the touch-pad to capture the Pokemon, manage things, ect. The idea of it makes me drool as well.

The reason I say this is that I'm broke, and due to the fact I just got the PS3, they won't let me get a new system for another year unless I sold it back anyway.

I only played 1. It was kinda meh, but the other two looked amazing. I'd love to see a 4th one get made at some point. There wasn't even a Gen V PR game, but III and IV had some. I like Mystery Dungeon more than PR, but I still want to see a new PR game. Wii U would be amazing for it.

I'm barely getting the money for a PS3. xD I'm hoping to get a Wii U around Christmas since I'm paying for the PS3 entirely on my own...

I would love to see a Pokemon Stadium game that's more like the N64 games and less like Pokemon Battle Revolution to be released that's compatible with X/Y versions. I remember sinking hours into Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2. It was a hard game, and I remember trying to assemble the perfect team by playing the game boy games on the Game Boy Tower.

If they released that kind of game, with a feature that lets you play X/Y on your Wii U, a Pokemon manager, mini-games, secret event pokemon, a gym leader castle, and a dedicated online battling section, then I would buy it in a heartbeat.

... I forgot that idea. ._. I also had an idea recently for a storage game, like Pokemon Box or Pokemon Ranch, but for Gen VI. I wanted one for Gen V, but it's a little late for that.

Aside from the mini-games,what's so different about the Stadium games and Pokemon Battle Revolution?Aren't they are pretty much the same game in a different PKMN gen?

I think it might be because Stadium had things like the GB Tower and the Gym leaders/Elite Four. I've honestly never played a Stadium game since I never owned an N64 (I probably shouldn't say that in public), so I don't know for sure.

Wasn't there something like Square were thinking of redoing Final Fantasy V and VI for the 3DS in the same manner as they did with III and IV? I'm pretty sure that was said sometime in the past. They were originally going to put V and VI on the DS after the success of III and IV but one of the producers was like, "actually the 3DS is a great system"

Typical though it's been 3 years since the 3DS was announced and nothing has surfaced. I'd honestly much prefer a remake for the 3DS than the WIi U but I'd gladly take the SNES ports on the Virtual console if they slapped them up on the Wii U eShop.

As for the others, I'd take a Pokemon Snap 2, Pokemon Colosseum (sequel or something similar that isn't xD), Star Fox U, F-Zero U/3DS, Kid Icarus U, Fire Emblem Wii U... eh... I'm sure I'll think of some others xD

yeah but that will probably come out around Christmas 2014

Ninty could always surprise us and release around the middle of the year, and leave Christmas for another title, Zelda U maybe. But if not Christmas 2014 does seem like the possible date for SSB U.

Dude, where is F-Zero? It needs to be done, and the Wii U would be a fantastic place for the series.

Forgot that one. There really should be a new one soon, the last was on GCN, right?
