HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted August 10, 2013 (edited) I love both Nintendo and Sony . Xaon and I own the Wii U and will get the PS4. We own all the handhelds from both companies. I love the Wii U since it has these great friendly party games that you can play with anyone you want. And they are actually fun. It's like boardgames but on a device. I love the 3DS, DS, and other handhelds. I own a lot of Sony and Nintendo products, my only complaint is a personal one since I don't like that much games on the Wii U nor the 3DS, but only play gaming franchises like Fire Emblem, Pokémon, Mario, etc. I don't get what the fuss is about, its just a gaming device. 1 HarLea Quinn reacted to this
SSGoten 59 Posted August 10, 2013 I kinda want a Wii U only because of SSBFW (If that's the acronym). *Gets popcorn* Anyone else want some before this thing starts? And your signature, if you're talking about the show, it's RWBY, but you're probably talking about the character, no? Don't mean to be mean or snobby or whatever, just wondering
Demyx. 10,064 Posted August 10, 2013 I have a Wii U and love it. But I still make fun of it and trash it. So there. But yeah I just get systems and handhelds and all that jazz that interests me. Pretty much any console that isn't Microsoft. I don't really care. haha
Oishii 3,987 Posted August 10, 2013 I don't have that much love or hate for Nintendo. I enjoy my 3DS, but I'm not going to get a second region locked console. Cause, wtf, why the hell do developers still region lock stuff? That's the only hate I have for Nintendo and anyone else who region locks. But otherwise they do their own thing and have made a good market for themselves.
OmegaForte 1,674 Posted August 10, 2013 When I think of Nintendo haters, the words "fan boys" come to mind. Speaking in general, I just find them immature people who make up excuses to bash on x system. The the worst part is when they theorymoan on, for example the Wii U, how it will fail and die out. Worst case is when they say how Nintendo will die out. Do you have any idea how silly you sound like? You sound like those people outside moaning "the end of the world, blah blah blah." You see one or two reasons, such as the system not selling well and woo, the system is going to die out. Funny story is they either never pay attention to the positive things (present and future), or refuse to look at the bright side due to their "loyalty" to x system. (not sure if that's the right term to use) Honestly I could give no firetrucks about what system is better, I go by what satisfies my needs and that's it. I find it a waste of time to think "Oh mah gawd x system sucks, watch it sell poorly, the system is doomed." I don't have that much love or hate for Nintendo. I enjoy my 3DS, but I'm not going to get a second region locked console. Cause, wtf, why the hell do developers still region lock stuff? That's the only hate I have for Nintendo and anyone else who region locks. But otherwise they do their own thing and have made a good market for themselves. Ikr? This is one of the things I'm disappointed with Nintendo with, but at the same time blame the companies that won't try to release their games overseas. (At least try to via the eshop, looking at you Bandai Namco) 2 Setrex and Oishii reacted to this

(At least try to via the eshop, looking at you Bandai Namco) Are you seriously kidding me? Namco bandai have been localizing a lot of games this year. So far they've localized Ni no Kuni, Project X Zone, Tales of Xillia, Tales of Symphonia HD Collection, and Tales of Xillia 2. You cannot say that they won't release games overseas especially when they've been localizing games throughout this year and next year. Bamco have finally decided to pay attention to the West ever since they gave us Tales of Graces F last year. I love both Nintendo and Sony . Xaon and I own the Wii U and will get the PS4. Nintendo said the reason why they region-lock their systems now is because whenever a game gets released in Japan a lot of people in the Western terratories import it and when it finally gets localized not much people don't buy the English version of that said game and stick to their Japanese copy. This goes for Japan a well. Edited August 11, 2013 by Tails 1 Cucco reacted to this
Wally 18 Posted August 11, 2013 Ah, Visuagaminplatformenia Wartardus, the scientific name for the people you see in forums, game sites, and various Places Which Should Not Be Named who constantly voice very loud opinions on game consoles. To be honest, people shouldn't let their feathers get ruffled over what people say about stuff like that. It's video games, folks. Some things about some companies I may not like (Nintendo's region locking, Microsoft's mandatory Kinect for Xbone, Sony won't add backwards compatibility to PS4), but it never ever gets me worked up to the point where I just get plain angry like some other folks do. Wii U is an imperfect console but I love mine. That said, I hope Nintendo will continue to support the console and not allow long software droughts like they have for the past few months. PS4 is looking amazing. I can't get it at launch, but I plan to get one once I've earned enough cash for it and there's a healthy line up of games for it after the launch dust has settled. I'm probably not getting an Xbox One, but I'm glad they backtracked on some of that online check-in stuff. If they decide to make a true Banjo-Kazooie sequel that's more like the originals, I might have to shell out for it. Gaming is a privilege and not a right. If something bad happened in the world (nuclear war, giant meteor, zombie apocalypse, etc) guess which would be amongst the first things to say goodbye to in our daily lives? Just play the games and enjoy it on whichever console(s) you have. Don't let the angry nerds of the internet turn it into politics. We have enough of politics in the world. Last game I believe was done overseas was Dawn/Dusk or Championships, and that was years ago. I'm still skeptical if they'll bother with Decode, petition or not. Geotrix 862 Posted August 12, 2013 I like Nintendo games, their consoles not so much, now hear me out, the thing I don 't really enjoy is the lack of vairety, the Wii had a lot of crappy party games which were made to implement motion, of course the Wii had great titles like Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Sonic Colours etc. And although this is great the problem I have with Nintendo consoles now a days is that I only play the exclusives because their third party line up can be poor at times, the Wii u seems to be better with this and although I love my Mario and Zeldas as much as everyone else I want to see more then them, the Wii U seems to be doing better with games like Pikmin 3, bring back more franchises like that and don't just milk Mario and Zelda and I'll be sold.
