Firaga 5,947 Posted August 5, 2013 This isn't really a debate or anything, I'm just curious. To all the Devil May Cry fans out there: can you, if you so please, explain to me, a DMC n00b in general, the difference between the video games and the anime series? If there are any? bit 944 Posted August 5, 2013 You play the games, you watch the anime. 2 Kishira and Firaga reacted to this
EternalReckoning 1,135 Posted August 5, 2013 I'm so much of a noob i only know the general fan debates about it, but lots of people like the anime better. But it cant live up to the games obviously because its discontinued. there are few good anime-game adaptations but when they are good they are very good. 1 Firaga reacted to this
Bearanort 788 Posted August 5, 2013 There's not really a difference. The anime is taking place after the first Devil May Cry. If you going to play the Devil May Cry series, you might want play in this order to understand the story. Devil May Cry 3, Devil May Cry 1, Devil May Cry 4 and Devil May Cry 2 (Excluding DmC) 1 Firaga reacted to this

Usually this is the case with others. On this website, I even saw someone posting a .gif of someone animating the Classic Dante to look like he's beating up the new Dante. Don't get me wrong. Also, that would be me who posted that gif Edited August 5, 2013 by Diga231

It's alternative version of the series.
Kishira 2,854 Posted August 5, 2013 All I know is, I hated the anime *the little girl pissed me off*. I prefer the games. 2 Firaga and dusk reacted to this

Dante even looks older in 2 than he did in 4.
