I ASK STUPID QUESTIONS SOMETIMES ITS NOT MY FAULT!

Before I start,I want to say I was,still and will be a Sonic Fan no matter what happens.So please no rage(But knowing the Sonic fanbase they'll rape me in my house)

 

I've been debating in my mind which fanbase is actually worse than the other:The Final Fantasy Fanbase or the Sonic Fanbase.

 

But after a short visit to TSSZ comment section I know remember which one is the worst

The Sonic Fanbase is,without a single moment of doubt:THE WORST FANBASE I'VE EVER SEEN IN THE HISTORY OF EVERYTHING!!!AND I MEAN THAT WITH EVERY VIPER OF MY BEING.

 

I've never seen a bunch of people so hateful,so butthurt,so picky,so childish,so stupid,so ragefull and so unprofessional like the Sonic fanbase

 

I really and trully feel sorry for poor Sega who have to please those unpleasable assholes who'll find any single little detail to bitch about and call the game bad because of it even though that thing has nothing to do with the gameplay:

 

DUUUUH,SONIC HAS GREEN EYES,DUUUH SONIC LEGS ARE TOO LONG,THEREFORE DIS GAME SUCKS BECAUSE OF DAT.

 

Are you f.ucking kidding me???Really???? Do the green eyes add anything to the gameplay for you????Do you really focus so hard on Sonic's eyes that the whole game depends on it???

 

And don't get me started on those butthurt genesis era fanboys that says:EVERYTHING AFTER THE GENESIS ERA SUCKS,ALL NEW SONIC GAMES SUCKS

 

Even before they try any of them they say all games after the genesis era sucks automatically.I can't stand this stupid mentality

 

I'm one of those people who like some modern games than some of the genesis game.Sonic Adventure 2 is my favorite Sonic game of all time and I still love the Genesis games to death,but you can never live in peace without someone bitching on you for why you like SA2 over Sonic 2 because there is no such thing as different tastes and opinions in the Sonic Fanbase,heck I never hated someone who liked Sonic 06 despite my hatred for that game,I didn't go out of my way to insult someone who liked it.

 

And don't get me started on the whole voice acting argument.

 

One last thing,The Sonic fanbase hates....AND I MEAN ABSOLUTELY LOATHE fans of Mario and Nintendo

 

They don't believe that there is someone who love both Mario & Sonic in this world.It's toooooo much for them.

 

If you ever,EVER mentioned something that you don't like about a Sonic game,they instantly accuse you of being a Mario fanboy before you even mention the word "MARIO".

 

They think it's still the 90's where they think it's REQUIRED that you hate Mario and Nintendo in order to be considered a Sonic fan

 

I don't know if you guys heard about the Sonic Stadium website debacle where one of the mods of the site goes on a full rant defending Sonic and The Black Knight before it's release and insulting Mario for no reason which caused some controversies among the sonic fansites(If someone know about the whole thing please let me know).

 

And when I went to the TSSZ website to talk about Sonic Lost World,someone insulted me immediately and said that me and all Nintendo fans are low standards casuals.

The 90's is over.Sega and Nintendo are no longer rivals.

 

In fact,they're long time partners ever since the days of the GameCube.

 

Many Sonic games were exclusive to Nintendo consoles,Sonic appeared in Super Smash Bros Brawl,something that we almost never expected,The Mario and Sonic Olympic games series,and the new partnership between Sega and Nintendo for the Sonic Franchise.

 

There has never been such a thing that you have to hate one to be fan of the other.I love both Mario and Sonic to death and I don't wanna lose any of them just because some whiny assholes can't stand the idea of someone who likes both of them.

 

 

 

I can go on...and on....and oooooooooon about the Sonic fanbase since it doesn't stop here,the whole bullshit got extended to the comics,cartoons,TV shows and animes where you can never have a peaceful discussion about Sonic at all.But I think this rant has gone far too long.

 

Sorry for the long rant,but I had to get this out,because this fanbase is tarnishing Sonic's reputation and long history as if it isn't tarnished enough.Sonic deserves  a better fanbase,fans who appreciate Sonic for what he really is and have balanced opinions without hating too much on Sonic or overglorfy him as some sort of god.

 

I know that there are some great fans of Sonic like Johnny from SGB or The Sonic Show,or The Sonic Paradox crew who made the Sonic shorts.....but unfortunately,those might go unnoticed because of the stupid fanbase

I actually can't have many opinions on the fanbase, since I don't play Sonic and I don't know anybody who does (for more than an hour, anyways). The only bad aspects of the fanbase I've seen are the poorly-draw OCs with (mostly) very shitty fanart.

 

Huh, honestly I've just never run into many of those fans at all. It does sound pretty bad though so I'm glad I've never had to witness it for myself.

Its because of them that Shadow and Knuckles didn't make a proper apperence since Sonic 06,they are always complaining about new character as if its a bad thing.And its because of them that we got a game like Sonic Colors.I like Colors,but the game is not memorable at all,I had a lot more fun playing the Adventure games and Sonic Heroes.

I hated Mario from the beginning, its just the same shit over and over, and its stupid. Oh, Peach is kidnapped, we gotta stop Bowser, and goomba stomp enemies, and get high on shrooms to go and save her. And they do that OVER AND OVER AGAIN. And yet, PEOPLE LOVE IT. ITS THE F***ING CAPITAL FRANCHISE OF NINTENDO. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT BULLSHIT? There are games WAY MORE DESERVING OF THAT TITLE Then F***ING MARIO. Mother, Kid Icarus, LOZ, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Kirby........Etc come to mind, Pretty much most Nintendo franchises that aren't Mario deserve that title. -__-

 

I like Sonic a bit, i liked Sonic Generations it was good. Im not a fanboy of it, as i havent become invested in it, but even if i was, i wouldn't be like those jackasses you described at all. :|

anyway, i feel your rage. The Sonic fanbase is full of fanboys and others who think you cant have an opinion. But like you said there are other great Sonic fans than CAN appreciate Sonic for what it is. To be honest, even tho i cant say i dont miss it every known again, the whole Mario VS Sonic thing is bullshit. I have to say the only Sonic fansite ive been interested in is retro. And well, aside from that people really bitch too much about Sonic's new-er design. The VA's I could see, because a Voice Actor is really what makes a character. I couldn't imagine getting the same amount of enjoyment out of Metal Gear Solid, or Uncharted without the great voices of David Hayter or Nolan North. I love 2D and 3D sonic games alike, I do think the classics have a little more work put in to them, but I love them all none the less, Sonic 2 for the SEGA Genesis was the first game I ever played. That being said Sonic Adventure 2 is one of my favorite games to date.

I wouldn't say story never important in the Mario series; specifically Paper Mario series. Or else we wouldn't have many fans saying how sticker star's story was meh. Ok, i will. TBH I like some Mario games, but mainly Paper Mario really. Its story is decent, and i like RPG's above most VG Genres.

Maybe it's because he wasn't for me, Mario seemed a little more inviting and a little more simple than Sonic, maybe because this is me being a derp, but I've never been a fan. Now, I tried Sonic games, and... I didn't enjoy them. Maybe it's because I like to see the pretty scenery of the world I play in, maybe it's because I rather like a mix between fast and slow movement, maybe it's because I got more joy out of jumping on a Koopa Shell, but I didn't like Sonic that much. When I talked on a forum once about my feelings about a Sonic game, even though it wasn't a Sonic fansite, and said my opinion on the game, I was harassed about my opinion of the games, and even was temp banned by one of the mods because I was defending myself from these people, but it probably didn't help that one of the harassers WAS a mod. I would go into more accounts of Sonic Fans being dreadful, but I won't. I use to be OK with Sonic, he was there, but I didn't enjoy his games too much. But the fan's ruin it for me. They really do.

I 100% agree, being a Sonic fan myself the majority of the fan base are the most childish, ridiculous, nitpicky ungrateful brats I've ever come across, did you know that they complained when Sonic Generations Sky Sanctuary was revealed because it wasn't yellow enough? My problem with the Mario series in terms of its console platformers ( Not spin off series) is that it hasn't had an original idea since 2007, after Galaxy there was Galaxy 2 which although was a really fun and stellar title did nothing knew really except change level design up a bit and add in the addition of Yoshi. My main gripe with the Mario series are the NSMB series of games, the first one was great it was a return to Marios roots and served as a fun title, the wii one didn't change much except add multiplayer but it's still a fun game. We didn't need a NSMB U and NSMB 2 especially, didn't they release 2 of them in the same year? I just wish the Mario series known for innovation will you know, innovate? Because I don't wanna see Mario die down but his games haven't been very inventive for like 6 years now? (Not counting the spin off series)

Yeah but the story of these Mario games was meant to be comedic rather than epic,even the boxes of the Mario & Luigi games says "Hilarious adventure",but I think you're right

 

As for Sticker Star,I didn't like it,it's not a bad game but it's not as good as any of the Paper Mario games and the sticker systems killed it for me

Speaking of Sonic Lost World,just look at the comments of the trailer that IGN posted....all are hateful bashing for the game and bitching about why Sega and Nintendo made a partnership before the game was even out.And when I asked them how do you know the game is bad???? They just said because it's on the Wii U....really?????? The game wasn't even out at stores and they say the game suck just because of their 90's butthurt nostalgia???

 

For God's sake Sonic Lost World looks awesome,It's the one Sonic game that I got hyped for the most since Sonic Colors.From what I've seen in the trailers the gameplay looks polished and fun,the level design looks beautiful and I like the new wisp powers.

 

I swear if Sonic was real and he saw his fanbase,he'll commit suicide immediately
