Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted August 4, 2013 (edited) It's 2013, so why are we still using the desktop PCs in the Pokemon Centers to store Pokemon? Why not upgrade to laptops so we can switch our Pokemon on the g?. Between Bill, Lanette, Bebe, Amanita and whoever will run it in Gen VI, you'd think someone would have figured out a way to access the Pokemon Storage System wirelessly, right? Sora96 17,256 Posted August 4, 2013 No idea. I'm sure it's going to look better in X & Y though.
OmegaForte 1,674 Posted August 4, 2013 Maybe because it consumes so much power to transfer Pokemon from one area to another? Laptops could also suffer from the lack of connection if your in a cave, sewer, special areas like elite 4, N castle, etc. (Situational areas is what I mean when I mentioned N castle) Strange though they don't have laptops withdraw Pokemon on the go. Sorual 607 Posted August 4, 2013 that would be nice. but in a way its also cheap becouse then you can just switch pokemon tha thave fainted with new ones without the pokemon center.
nick11h 63 Posted August 4, 2013 I thought it was pretty advance already to be able to transfer your Pokemon into some sort of digital coma state.
Oishii 3,987 Posted August 4, 2013 What if the connection cut out in the middle of a transfer? You would have half the Pokemon left behind which would be a gruesome death for a Pokemon.

MasterXemnas 2,285 Posted September 2, 2013 Fool. First of all, what would be the point of a poke'mon center? Your poke'mon heal once they are in storage. No one would ever visit the center. And forget about healing items. 1 gothamninja394 reacted to this

And just like I said, if its not broken then dont fix it

The point is to have poke'mon in your party with unforgettable moves to take down obstacles. But if you can just transfer in an HM slut whenever you want, then there would be no point in that as well.

And there would still be a point, you just wouldn't have to back track to retrieve them. I never keep HM Pokemon in my party just for the HMs I only keep them if they have a type that would be advantageous against the next Gym Leader. I'm not saying remove PCs completely, I'd just like to have the option to adjust my party for the situation at hand without having to walk all the way to a Pokemon Center. But the walking distance is already fixed. You can fly, bike, use running shoes, ect. Not to mention that you can raise your pokes beforehand so that they'll be ready for the gym.
