A former voice actor from the “Kingdom Hearts” series has made some comments regarding the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One release, “Kingdom Hearts 3.” As reported by Gameranx on July 30, Justin Charles Cowden stated on his Facebook page that he would like to reprise his role as Hayner in the upcoming sequel. Hayner is a relatively minor character in the series. He first appeared in “Kingdom Hearts 2,” which came out in 2006 for the Playstation 2. The kid was prominently featured at the beginning of the video game in Twilight Town when players were controlling Roxas. Hayner also made a brief appearance in “Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days,” a spin-off portable video game that came out for the Nintendo DS in 2009.

 

“Kingdom Hearts 3” is expected to conclude the current storyline of the series that began with the original game. Square Enix has already confirmed that Sora, Riku, Kairi, Donald, Goofy, Mickey and Xehanort will be returning for the finale. Justin Charles Cowden would love it if Square Enix would bring back Hayner as well.

Yeah well,they did have a keyblade war with probably 100,000 and more keyblade weliders so......

This kind of reminds me of Jedi and the Star Wars universe.

Well he has to get a rematch against Sora and by proxy Roxas somehow. Even though Roxas just beat the data version of him, and he did get a sphere from the trophy.

Well, this is not really a shock to me. I have been replaying Kingdom Hearts 2 and wondered if they'll bring Twilight Town back, which they probably will, along with all the inhabitants of it. I love how they say KH358/2 Days is a spin-off title Like any of the Kingdom Hearts games are spin-off titles. Name one character in a spin-off that didn't make a reappearance, or have some sort of hint to their existence in another game.

I thought this might be obvious seeing as the only gameplay footage shown was in Twilight Town. All existing residents tend to show up in "revisited" worlds.

I like Hayner. If TT is back in KH3, of course he'd be in it.

I'm glad if he'll be back if it means that Twilight Town'll be back but to be honest - even though I like Hayner a lot - I don't find it that important to see him in KH3. I don't mind seeing him either though.
