panosgate7 52 Posted July 29, 2013 In KH2FM you couldn't attack with the X button like in the normal version of KH2 but with O button. Does the same thing happen with KHFM???
AntonioKHT 449 Posted July 29, 2013 That's because the game was a Japanese version. There, the attack button is O. The KHFM in Japan had the attack button with O as well. Since the game's being localized, the commands will be normal English version like: X is the button for attack. It's not because it's a Final Mix game, it's about the region the game's coming. XxCobaltxX 321 Posted July 29, 2013 i hope they change it to X in 2.

Khrulesbbs 574 Posted July 29, 2013 i hope it stays O for 2.5 using X is so inconvenient , plus in kh3d we used Japanese controls
jorrell3946 70 Posted July 29, 2013 It has to use the X Button because the Japanese port used the O Button.
khluvr89 0 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) i hope it stays O for 2.5 using X is so inconvenient , plus in kh3d we used Japanese controls but that was on a 3ds in which A is located where O would be on a PS3 they will still use X for US because US games use X not O. Plus English has ALWAYS used X so that would be strange. Edited July 29, 2013 by khluvr89
Khrulesbbs 574 Posted July 29, 2013 well whatever i still hope there is option to change it
Mog 97 Posted July 29, 2013 I really prefer the way the Japanese do it. The X button seems much easier to use than the O button for jumping. Pretty much every platformer uses the X button to jump anyways.

Nermin Colakovic 61 Posted July 29, 2013 I wouldn't mind making the change from x to o, I've played BBSFM with O and it didn't take long to get used to
Kishira 2,854 Posted July 29, 2013 I always get confused whenever I play the FM's. *tries to jump but attacks instead* Shit! *does it right but messes up again 2 seconds later* Dammit! ....*surrounded by enemies and keeps pressing jump* EGJIROEkkfa OHMYGOD ATTACK, I'M GONNA DIE! Mog 97 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Yeah that's what I thought when I first played KH2FM and I thought it's much more convenient than using the O button to jump!!! Yeah the same I experienced for BBSFM and the original japanese version.. Although in KH 3D they seem to have moved the controls so that the button on the 3ds that represents the x button on a playstation controller is used for jumping. I can't remember the letter because I don't play my 3ds that often, but it was definitely nice to use the Japanese controls in an English KH game. Reyn 1,755 Posted July 29, 2013 I prefer to use the X button, rather then the O button.

Tigerruss 576 Posted July 29, 2013 I am used to X being attack, and O being jump. If O is attack then I would prefer an option to switch it, but I wouldn't want it forced upon everyone.
_The Door To Light_ 1,507 Posted July 29, 2013 Should be X button since other fans are already used to it, it's a matter of muscle memory.
PrinceNoctis 1,011 Posted July 30, 2013 That's the Japanese command.

Taeyeon 1,137 Posted July 31, 2013 It really doesn't matter to me, but I guess it would help some people if they had different buttons layout.
NeoKaiser98 1 Posted July 31, 2013 I think its going to stay the same, and personally I wouldn't like using O at all, it would feel uncomfortable well at least for me.
Cucco 1,907 Posted July 31, 2013 Using x to jump and o for commands feels a lot better
