That's because the game was a Japanese version. There, the attack button is O. The KHFM in Japan had the attack button with O as well.

Since the game's being localized, the commands will be normal English version like: X is the button for attack. It's not because it's a Final Mix game, it's about the region the game's coming.

Oh okay, I didn't know that it was like this due to the region!! Thanks!!

i hope it stays O for 2.5 using X is so inconvenient , plus in kh3d we used Japanese controls

but that was on a 3ds in which A is located where O would be on a PS3 they will still use X for US because US games use X not O. Plus English has ALWAYS used X so that would be strange.

I really prefer the way the Japanese do it. The X button seems much easier to use than the O button for jumping. Pretty much every platformer uses the X button to jump anyways.

I always get confused whenever I play the FM's. *tries to jump but attacks instead* Shit! *does it right but messes up again 2 seconds later* Dammit!

....*surrounded by enemies and keeps pressing jump* EGJIROEkkfa OHMYGOD ATTACK, I'M GONNA DIE!

Yeah that's what I thought when I first played KH2FM and I thought it's much more convenient than using the O button to jump!!!

Yeah the same I experienced for BBSFM and the original japanese version.. Although in KH 3D they seem to have moved the controls so that the button on the 3ds that represents the x button on a playstation controller is used for jumping. I can't remember the letter because I don't play my 3ds that often, but it was definitely nice to use the Japanese controls in an English KH game.
