TV Is there a Japanese dub for The Last Airbender?

Now I know that the show is owned by Nickldeon(As far as I know)

 

But is there a Japanese dub for it???

 

I've watched two seasons in English and I wanna know if there is a Japanese dub for this and for The Legend of Korra

There tend to be foreign language dubs of every cartoon Nickelodeon owns, so I don't see why there wouldn't be one.

If there is, it's probably horrible. The only dubs that American TV Shows usually bother with are Spanish dubs, maybe French in some parts of the country. 

 

Unless you speak fluent Japanese and have trouble with English, there is really no reason to look for a Japanese dub.

I don't consider it anime. And the English version is a better way to watch it because its an English show... Watching it dubbed in Japanese+English subs because you can't even speak Japanese just sounds dumb

I asked just to know if the English voice acting is still good or became terrible as the time went on.

The voice acting in A:tla is amazing!

Zachary Tyler Eisen, Mae Whitman, Jack Desena, Dante Basco, Mako and numerous other voice actors give outstanding performances.

The acting gets better as the show goes on, and you actually can tell the growth in the main cast by the end, especially in Aang.

It's definitely worth watching in English!

Oh no sorry I wasn't calling you dumb. I think the idea of watching an English show in Japanese with English subtitles is dumb. Also the voice acting is good in English and I never said you couldn't speak it fluently

In the Philippines, they dub Spongebob in Tagalog, so I'm pretty sure you can find the Last Airbender in Japanese

It wouldn't be better because Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra already have some of the best voice actors in the business, such as the late but still legendary Mako as Uncle Iroh and Steve Blum as Amon. 

 

And Avatar isn't Japanese at all. It's made by an American studio and the Avatar world draws influences from China, not Japan. 

 

Don't be a weeaboo.

It's a cartoon and the art style is supposed to resemble eastern stereotypes (um hello China/Japanese influence?). Not an "American" anime.

Again,I'm fully aware that Avatar isn't a Japanese cartoon.I was just asking if Nicolodean hired some japanese artist,nothing more.

 

Just because I thought the art style resembled an anime doesn't mean I'm a weeaboo and the one who called me that should shut up and stop being an asshole

 

Also,just because I grew up with anime doesn't mean I don't like normal cartoons.

 

I'm still a fanboy of Batman the animated series

 

and I loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles both the classic one and the animated series that aired in 2003.

 

I watched the Amazing Spider Man series and even the X-Men cartoon

 

I maybe prefer anime over other cartoons but that doesn't mean I'm a weaboo.

 

It's just a question about who has done the art style but instead of giving me an answer you guys jump on to call me a weeaboo

Calm down. First off nobody said you didn't like Avatar or that you hated English voice acting, you're being over dramatic. Raging and crying will only be met with laughter and cynicism. What's wrong with wanting to see a show in another language just to hear what it sounds like?  I'm curious about things like that, too.

 

And English subs are usually there to 1) help you keep track of what's being spoken, and 2) you never know if the other language changed anything for the sake of localization.  Nothing's a perfect translation.

 

Take this Japanese fandub for Friendship is Magic.  It's not copied word-for-word from the original show.  For instance, in the original, Pinkie says something to the tune of "No one breaks a Pinkie Swear!"  But the subs say "Breaking a promise is the worst!"  Has a little less character, but I still think it was interesting to see Pinkie say it in Japanese.

 

 

It has nothing to do with being a weeaboo.  I just think it's interesting to see our favorite characters speak in another language.  As for why I picked Japanese to watch it in, I just think the language sounds beautiful, but I say the same for Italian.  So take a chill pill.

Yes, there is. I don't see a problem with watching an American created show in Japanese. If it sounds good it sounds good.
