I hate this society

Recommended Posts

We (my brother, sister, mother and I) went in a school trip today to a place that take care of poor people of Campinas(this is a city) suburb.

There the school made a pic-nic with some food(of course xD) and the children that were in that institute made a show for us, it was so beautifull.

When we were eating with the children I didn't eat anything cause I thought it was better for them that didn't have what to eat at their homes, at the end they ran around the place getting the leftovers, and what made me really mad was that some of the mothers that came with the school got the food to take home, some of them got like, 5 apples and breads, some cakes and juice, why couldn't they let the food for the poor people? They had everything they could need at home and they had to get the food and say to their children to do the same. What's this country going to be?

Thats pretty sad but people do that all the time not thinking about others and only them selves. And thats nice for your school to do, non of my schools ever did any thing like that.

Everyone sw that those kids were very poor, when the teachers began to put the food there the boys walked around looking at it and we could see they were very hungry, they got the fruits and ate them as it was a feast, the made me so sad, and that mothers just insisted in not leaving the food for them. I made my part, why can't people do theirs?

Sorry, things like this make me really angry.

Us poor do what we can to survive. In California, healthy foods are too expensive for us, so we must eat the cheap and unhealthy foods, which is the reason why America is obese.

So you understand what I mean.

I understand fully and completely. The rich care for the rich and the poor care for the poor, but I can't help but care for both. But now I can't care for anything anymore.

What makes me even more angry is that people from our school don't mind the unhappy, we were there and the poor boys and guys were dancing for us, it was beautiful, my mother said "Look at that boy, how he dances." pointing to the boy, and the boy from my school looked at him and said "He looks gay." I got so angry and said "He's much more man them any of you that have money and can afford what you want." I can't believe how them can do this, if it was them that didn't have the chance to be born in a rich family, would they feel good if the others threated them like that?

My family was rich, but then again we were just royalty as kings and such over the saxons of England, incorrectly overthrown into being poor. I'm glad i'm poor, if I were rich, i'd be as bad as the others.

I'm not rich, but I'm not poor either, and I don't think I'm bad.

I try to seperate myself from the deadly sins: Pride, Anger, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Greed and sloth. I do not think of gluttony as a sin, Anger is an emotion that i've seem to have lost, lust I have tamed that sin completely, greed I never had, sloth is something I don't think of as a sin, envy is something I never cared for and pride....it IS after all the devil's sin....and something i'm trying to tame now.

You know, you just think that something is a sin if you can't resist it, I know lots of people who think that having money is a sin, as some of the ones you said come from it, but it isn't if you can use money correctly. Don't you agree?

Pride, you can't say you don't have because everyone like to see their job appreciated by the others, at least I have a bit of it, anger I have quite a bit, or I wouldn't be what I'm, envy, no I don't find any reason to be like that, it's so chiuldsh, gluttony, no people say I almost don't eat, lust, no, I think that's a wate of money and time, greed, you know that's difficult, we live in a world in which we need money to survive, so I try to keep what I need, sloth, if you're talking about school, just a bit. xD

Well its not anger itself being the sin, its what happens when being angry. Like wrath, or hurting someone or killing someone because your angry, thats the reason. Pride is ok to have I try to think, but too much pride can kill a man.

I'm not so angry like that, but if someone really gets on my nerves, poor person.

About pride, it actually depends on the person, if someone takes things too seriously them things can go wrong.

I agree with Gizzy about the whole scenario. It does irritate me that people would do such a thing. In fact, just last year, I went to an event hosted for the high school band that I used to partake in, because my younger brother is now there. Now, I went with my father's family, including my step-mom, and half-brother and sisters. Now the food was free, because each family brought a dish, (except for mine).

Now after the dinner, and the performance that the band put on, as everyone was leaving, my father, step-mother, step-brother and step-sister were up and getting large plates, piled with the most food that the plate could handle to take home. I stood back agast, disgusted and ashamed that I was with this group of people. They were not allowed to get seconds, no one had said 'hey, get another plate to go' they just went up there and grabbed all the food that they could. I was on the verge of tears I was so disgusted.

Sure, they are poor to most standards. But they don't need to hoard the food of others, because some families didn't even get to enjoy the meal that night because of the hoarding they did. And they also spend their money in the wrong places. For instance my dad went out and got a huge t.v, and a PS3 when they clearly did not have the money for it. And he goes out to eat very often, because my mother sees him at the Moe's in town at least twice a week.

They just infuriate me and it disgusts me that they have no shame about how much they eat, and what they buy themselves. They may say they're trying to eat better, but it's not what you eat, it's how much you eat. That's what makes you a glutton.

Sorry, didn't mean to go on a rant here. ^___^;
