KH1 The Questions Asked in the Beginning of KH1

Recommended Posts

So I still don't know what's the purpose of those questions asked in the beginning of the game (like "What's the most importan to you?" etc., the ones we had to answer). I've heard that in 3D whether you were able to have the secret ending depended on how you answered the questions in that game but that can't be it in KH1, cause they're in the beginning, right? It would be too much to play the whole game and then realize you can't have the ending just because you answered on wrong way when you started the game.. So do you know, is there some kind of porpose in thise questions?

The way you answered them. If you chose all of the top choices you leveled up the most close to the beginning of the game.If you chose all middle you leveled up the same through the whole game. If you chose all bottom you leveled up the most close to end

They determine your leveling curve.  The trick is that answering the first, second, or third options of each question will get you, respectively: fast leveling before 50 but slower leveling after; even leveling throughout the game; and slower leveling before 50, but faster afterwards.

Okay, thanks you all! Now I finally know the reason! Hadn't even thought it could have been about that.

Yeah, when I first got Kingdom Hearts I didn't see any purpose of those questions. But they do affect your gameplay by affecting the level up system.

I only first knew about this a few days ago

They set the leveling curve.

Your answers either mean you set off at Dawn, Midday or the Dead of the Night

Dawn = You level up at a faster rate than normal, but after level 50 it

Midday = Even throughout, you gain exp at the same rate beginning and end

Dead of the Night = You'll take the longest to level up to level 50, but after it you will level up faster to the higher levels

To get either, answer the questions either all

1 = Dawn

2 = Noon

3 = Dead of the Night

The majority you choose will set your leveling, like 112 is Dawn.

Mixing and matching for example trying 1 in the first Q, 2 in the next, 3 in the last question, will just give you Midday/Noon.

Wait so which answer must you use for which question for you to have which one of theses? Edited by VeNate13

Wait so which ones must you answer for you to have which?

You get three answers for each question.  So, if you want the same leveling speed throughout the game, when you talk to Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie, you'd pick the second answer they give you.

-1st set of options: fast leveling first, slow leveling later

-2nd set of options: same leveling speed throughout

-3rd set of options: slow leveling first, fast leveling later

I remember making a thread about this a long time ago, and it seems it no longer exists.  Probably due to the site update or something.  But when I made it, I literally tested EVERY combination.  I had a set order for how I asked and gave each listed answer a number.  I remember there were one or two results that didn't really make sense (As I imagined that if there was something like answers 123, it would result in even leveling, and a majority like 223 would result in the middle set being picked.), but some of them didn't match with what I expected.  It really took a while, I remember that much.  I believe there were 27 combinations in total (Simple math, 3 different questions with 3 options, thus 3*3*3. I know, math is over rated.)  Eh, I don't think I've ever answered the questions to my actual liking for a while now.  It's a nice little tidbit to know that you can affect how you level.  It can certainly add for some interesting challenges.

This is interesting didn't know there were bonusses for this.

I think the third option is the best or just the second.

I prefer the first option because by the end of the game you're only like lvl 40-50 anyways. It'd really help on proud mode.

But then again, I wanna get Sora to 99 on my proud mode for the trophy so idk what to go for...1, or 3...hmm...
