Daniel Black 1,981 Posted July 18, 2013 Hello people of KH13. This is my first (And I hope not to belast) Top 10 of videogame series. Today I should start with one of my favorite series: Final Fantasy. This one would be about not the heroes. They can wait of go to play with a moogle or play blitzball. No, today it´s the turn of the villains, yes, these son of a submariner who tries to destroy our party each time we face them. So now.... lets begin. Number 10.- Zemus/Zeromus - FFIV He is a lunarian who is obsessed with destroy humans and life on the blue planet to get it populated with the Lunarians... nothing more nothing else to say... Pros: He controlled Golbez, caused a mayhem in the Blue Planet and almost destroyed the world with the Baibil´s Giant. He ahs a b*dass Final Battle theme Cons: He is showed to the end of the game, even when he is the master mind behind the events of the game. Number 9.- Ultimecia - FF VIII Well.... witch who can manipulate time, possess other Sorceress and messing up with timelines. Yes, just kinda my type... ehm ahem!.. Ultimecia is the final boss on FFVIII facing Squall and Co. as she tries to complete her Time Compression to become the only self in the universe. Good plan, bad proceeding. Points in favor: She messed the timeline, and possessed Edea, Rinoa and Adel... and just before lunch. She can manipulate time... Geez I want that power She is one of a few female villains in the series. Cons: She is introduced.... tooooooooo late in the game. She didn´t make it... plot fail. Number 8.- Seymour Guado - FFX This guy has serious problems with dying, isn´t he? Anyway Seymour is one of the main antagonist of FFX, and leader of the Yevon Church. His final goal is to become the Final Aeon and use Sin to Destroy Spira. Also he has a crush with Yuna, almost marry her (Thanks god she didn´t... amm... ok getting to the point). Pros: He is skilled in magic and summoning. He is hard to kill... seriously... how many times Yuna tried to send him to the Farplane? He has a B*dass Battle Theme Yeahhh! Well developved backstory Cons: His voice acting was... amm... how can I say.... His design wasn´t too good... Number 7.- Exdeath - FFV A pure evil tree who wants to sent the world into the Void.... plants! get crazy with this dude. Exdeath is the main villain of FFV and the evilish incarnation of evil... in a kinda good armor design. His plan is to use the Void to consume Bartz and Galuf´s world and bring the existance to an end. Pros: He has a B*dass battle theme. He´s a F$/$&/&(%/&$ Hard final boss. He has a nice design of art. Cons: It´s a TREE. Seriously..... He has no backstory or a true motive to destroy the world... he´s doing that because ... i don´t know... magic? Voice acting in Dissidia... No.... Number 6.- Emperor Mathews - FF II A nihilist, egocentric, evil, merciless... and somehow weird villain. He is the main headache of FF II, making the lives of Firion and the rest of the world a pain. He even became ruler of hell... or heaven... geez.... Pros: He succeeded in conquering the world.. or at least almost all of it. Thanks to that big cyclone. He is a merciless and evil tactician, always using his oponent weakness. He became the ruler of the afterworld... Cons: Bad design... he looks like a girl... His part on the story in FF2 is shorten than expected... Tie: He lacks a background story or something relating with the characters... not all the villains need it thought. Number 5.- Garland - FFI Master of time paradoxes. The name speaks for himself, he is the villain of FF I and a skilled warrior, he became a monstrous being at the end, making the Warriors of Light to get a pain in the A** to defeat him, just to enter in a neverending cycle of battle. Pros: HE was alive by.. how much? 2000 years? He is a powerfull and skilled warrior, besides many of his story is explained in Dissidia so... yes. He looks like a b*dass in his Chaos form. Cons: He lacks of final battle theme (In FFI not in Dissidia) He is quite easy on the game. (Not in Dissidia) Ohhh and here comes the Four Archfiends...Oh I mean the top 4. Number 4.- Caius Ballad - FFXIII-2 Yes, you know... I don´t like that much FFXIII... however I can say they fixed almost all in FFXIII-2. One of this fixing things was in fact, the presence of a True villain (Barthandelus.... meh). Caius Ballad is the Guardian of the Seeress Yeul, H, trying to stop the neverending cycle of death of Yeul (For more details play the game) he decided to bring Chaos to the world, and stop the past and future to became a cause of suffering and despair for him and Yeul. However this gets to the point when this would cause the end of the world itself. Pros: He HAS a cause and motive (Yeul). Wrong methods, but a cause. He is a well developved character, his transient past, his neverending suffering and his eternal life makes him an unique character. Well done music theme. As a boss he´s quite good. Cons: Character art design. (Yes I´m using this too much, don´t you think?) He hasn´t get done with his evil plan... so he can get up or down in this countdown... just wait... He is too much drama... this is my only critic with his character development . Number 3.- Sephiroth - FFVII The destroyer of Gaia. The Soldier who caused chaos and ruin, and the one who took from us Aerith. Sephiroth is the main villain of FFVII and the shadow in Cloud´s past. He has one goal, to become a god. For doing so, he needs to cause a great damage in the world, which would be healed by the lifestream, when that moment happened, he would absorb the lifestream and become a powerfull being, at the cost of all Gaia´s life. Pros: He is a b*dass warrior, and enemy. He has a b*dass theme. AND he has One Winged Angel. He killed Aerith ¬¬ He messed up with the protagonist mind. He caused the madness in the world, as he summoned Meteor. Popular as hell Cons: HE´s quite easy with Knights of the Round Materia. His character development is quite related to Jenova. Besides... he is obsessed with Mother. His voice acting...something fails there.... I don´t know ...more feeling maybe? Number 2.- Kuja - FFIX The saddist and plot mastermind of FFIX. He caused the war in the World of Gaia, making Queen Branhe to destroy Burmecia and Alexandria, later he manipulates Bahamut killing Branhe, and using it to destroy Alexandria. He also caused the destruction of Terra and almost the destruction of the world. Beside the other villains from the series, he is quite a tactician and word versed, using all his resourses to get to his goal. His only fear... to die. Ironically this caused the madness in the end of the game. Pros: His power and abilities over Magic (even more in Trance) His facility of word His evil and mischieful mind He actually destroyed one world (Not the main protagonist world... but still counts) Cons: What the hell are you wearing off????!! and what´s up with your voice in Dissidia???!! Number 1.- Kefka Palazzo - FF VI While previous villains in the Final Fantasy series were distant, cold, ruthless, and bent on their goals, Kefka is loud, short-tempered, maniacal, and destructive, at first the clown general of the Gesthalian Empire, in the end he became the God of magic, destroying the world and ruling it during more than a year. Kefka is maniacal, short-tempered, flamboyant, destructive, and cruel. He is a psychopath with no regard for human life or remorse for the atrocities he commits, and finds amusement in the suffering of others. He cracks dark jokes at times, breaking out into hysterical laughter upon causing mayhem, and possesses a hatred of everything in the world; Kefka's only joy in life comes from causing death and chaos wherever he can. What begins as simply a disregard to human life develops into nihilism when he declares the lives of mortals insignificant finding no meaning in things like love and hope, and thus seeks to destroy the bonds of existence itself. Pros: Well developved Character God... his phrases.... Son of a submariner! You will be well done!! His maniac personality HE succeeded in destroying and ruling the world He succeeded in becoming a god He destroyed many lives... as well caused pain in the main characters His final battle theme is one (if not) the longest theme in the FF series. His laught.... Cons: His conversion in Dissidia. HE´s not just a clown! he is a tactician! He is easy to defeat with the right equipement. And that´s all for today guys. If you want another one just say the word. Cheers! 2 Ghost and Zola reacted to this

Cucco 1,907 Posted July 18, 2013 I personally think kefka is a bit overrated, My personal favorite is sephy. While kefka was evil, sephiroth was batshit insane. That made him more relateable

Hardrada 117 Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) Seymour may have been a better villain, but Jecht was a better antagonist. Also I always found Kefka to be obscenely overrated. Edited July 18, 2013 by Hardrada
