The Last of Us (New: DLC Announced!)

It's gotten over 30 perfect scores from reviewers , both popular and not.

 

Which is beyond me, since the game is clearly not 10/10 material (normally I'd say that's just my opinion, but this is an exception). The story can be a 10/10, but the gameplay is nothing fancy. I'd say the game deserves nothing higher than an 8.5.

But it's your opinion to other people it is 10. To most people seems to around 9 to 10.

 

I find it funny you say that on KH fan-site, since to me the KH series gameplay is nothing fancy and at times is borderline bad in certain games look at Kh2, days and coded as clear examples. The gameplay in tlou great to me, is it best ever in a game, no but it's still 10 out 10. Due to overall package of the game and gameplay does no disservice to the game. In certain games the gameplay isn't most important thing, if you have strong enough story, characters, sound design and overall design you can get 10 for gameplay that isn't perfect look at games like The walking dead and Journey. I think gameplay is great, It tense and thrilling. It requires patients and there are different ways to get past points in the game. The game also has incredible ai.

I think I already played like 2 hours and so far I'm really enjoying the gameplay and the story!

 

Wish I could play more tough (damn you college exams :angry:)...

Beat it on Hard two days ago, Normal last night, and starting my Survivor playthrough....a hit ago.

 

Gonna hate not having Listening Mode...sigh...

 

Also the AI isn't terrible sure sometimes it can be annoying and their weapons are weak as hell. But really, the AI is more useful then most others I have had to contend with.

A couple times I was in a place where their was a lot of clickers, trying to stealth around them and one of them get alerted so i'm fighting it while (I think it was Tess, but that's beyond the point) shot it which caused a shit storm for me. Once, one of my enemies came across a dead body and instead of alerting the others just went about his buisness. Sometimes you'll strangle someone while another enemy isn't even lookin and he'll be alerted, while other times I have strangled someone right in front of a guy and he didn't care. I love this game, but it seems to break down in rules A LOT. Which is a small flaw for such a great game but still.

Been watching PewDiePie's playthrough of it. It looks so amazing, the second game that really made me wish I had a PS3 for. I haven't seen anything on Xbox & PC's State of Decay which is apparently the competitor but I honestly doubt if it beats it.

Apparently Ellie looks like Ellen Page in The Last of Us? I can see the resemblance to a point, especially with the earlier design (which can be seen in this .gif here: http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17mwk0uredo9zgif/ku-xlarge.gif). But I wouldn't go so far as to say they "ripped off" her appearance. Besides, there was even a redesign because they wanted to make Ellie look younger, and more like her VA Ashley Johnson.

Is she suing them or something?  I would be happy for a gaming company to use my likeness (long as the character wasn't a douche), then I could use it as my avy since it looks like me  

 

To be honest I think she looks exactly like her, I actually thought the game was based of the actors like a movie. Though when you really compare you can note the differences.
