The Last of Us (New: DLC Announced!)

Recommended Posts

I did not know about this game until E3 2012, but the moment I first saw it I wanted it badly. Now that I have a PS3, I only have to wait for the game to come out. So far next year, I am going to get Sly 4, Metal Gear Uprising, Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us, Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, and Beyond: Two Souls. My choice in gaming has certainly changed as my high school years go by. Going into High School, I wouldn't have really wanted to play a game like The Last of Us.

I'm normally not into shooters, but what I've seen of this game is intriguing. I'd probably consider buying it if I had a PS3.

Same here, though I've been playing Halo 4 with my friend :D

I am so excited for this game! While I was really happy to finally get a release date I was kinda upset about the wait but it is going to be amazing so I'll be happy to wait that little bit longer.

Who is seriously excited for this game? It looks like another masterpeice from Naughty Dog. It looks like a true open world survival game (something I thing Crapcom should take notes on for their RE games). I mean you actually have to use weapons wisely, as in every decision you make counts, Finding some ammo and not just picking it up when you kill people (Uncharted), and best of all it just looks plain fun.

Who plans to pick this game up on day 1?

Hey! What's up everybody!?

Was looking for a topic of the game, but didn't found one... How is that possible?

The Last of Us sure deserves its own topic!

So, is anyone else playing the game at the moment? What are your thoughts so far? Do you think this title will somehow be able to revitalize the action/suvivor/horror genre? Does it have the potencial to become Naughty Dog's best game ever?

Being a fan of Naughty Dog's work since Crash Bandicoot days, I got to say I'm always impressed how they manage to never disappoint me!

Personally, I'm having a blast playing the game, so I decided I would make a Walkthrough of TLOU and share it on Youtube!  :)

I've already uploaded Part 1 and I can't wait to share the following episodes of my Playthrough with everyone.

Here's Part 1 in case you want to check it out:

If you really enjoyed my video and you're willing to watch all the following episodes of my Walkthrough, feel free to subscribe to my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/AirbagVII

Knowing that people from the forums follow my channel really makes me happy! :)

Hope you enjoy! Have fun!

P.S.: I'll also make a walkthrough of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX when the game comes out (can't wait to make a walkthrough of KH in HD)! :D

AMAZING game...I LOVED it...

The story was OUTSTANDING...I'm not normally interested in games like this, but I had to make a exception

I'd give it a 9.5/10

*sigh* good ol' Naughty Dog...

Who told you that?

The internet, but it's more of a joke. My favorite game is Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix and I doubt that'll be topped (unless KH3 is the best shit ever made or they make a HD 2.5 ReMix)

I've been interested in this game, but no one I know owns a PS3 besides me. Can anyone tell me why it's 'the best game ever made'?

I don't know about "The best game ever made" but this is a fantastic expierence. The story is absoloutly amazing, it has it's heartbreaking moments, and its moments the fills you with butterlies. The way you get attached to the characters is really something else. It's not just a simple minded average shooter either, you have to think. Ammo is scarce, and you don't want to run out for when you need it. You have to think before going in guns blazing. The voice acting is very good too. It's interesting to see the two main characters interact with eachother, and I personally looked forward to every dialogue between them. I also felt it kind of revived survival horror games. One flaw that I noticed though, the AI is terrible. The good thing is that they can't actually blow your cover if your going about something stealthy. They can run right in front of an enemy and they won't be alerted. It's annoying, but eh. It's manageable. Overall this is the best game i've played in a long long time, and one of my all time favorites. It's a must have for sure.

Who told you that?

It's gotten over 30 perfect scores from reviewers , both popular and not.

Which is beyond me, since the game is clearly not 10/10 material (normally I'd say that's just my opinion, but this is an exception). The story can be a 10/10, but the gameplay is nothing fancy. I'd say the game deserves nothing higher than an 8.5.
