Reyn 1,755 Posted July 12, 2013 (edited) I mean, in the recent installments after KH2, there are little to no Final Fantasy characters that are in the games anymore, and even when they are in the game, like in Birth By Sleep, they play a very small role, that makes little effect in the overall plot. Its all really just Disney now, and that's it. I hope in KH3 we see alot more FF characters to compensate for this, seriously. Otherwise it'll just show that Square has completely dropped one of the main things that originally enticed people to play the game, to see FF interact with Disney. :| Edited July 12, 2013 by spiderfreak1011 1 Iamkingdomhearts1000 reacted to this
Dracozombie 4,554 Posted July 12, 2013 Even if the actual FF characters don't have that much plot relevance, KH is still FF + Disney in spirit, though I guess you can argue it's Squeenix + Disney. There's the obvious FF influences, like the magic, the fighting, and the character designs. The Heartless are beings of pure darkness, something you might find in Disney, and you fight them with Squeenix style weaponry and skills. KH shares Disney's overall idealism, though it's certainly no stranger to darkness. KH, at least the first one, has a magical whimsy to it. Even if I think it's long since lost that whimsy, having established more about the world and what Sora and co. are fighting against, it never loses that optimism despite how dark things can get. That's something Disney and FF share. KH isn't gritty at all. Disney and FF are magic in their own ways, and they combine it to make KH. The setting and characters slant towards Disney, but that doesn't mean the FF side of things is excluded. 9 lostmemory123, Shazzam, Dave and 6 others reacted to this

But i still think that Disney takes alot more precendent over FF plot wise.
Sora96 17,256 Posted July 12, 2013 The Final Fantasy elements are still there. And having all these side games, it's hard for them to include the Final Fantasy characters fans want to see. In Kingdom Hearts III, I'm sure we'll see characters from XII, XIII, XIII-2, Lightning Returns & XV. 1 Reyn reacted to this
tothecikpah 230 Posted July 12, 2013 (edited) FF contributes more on the battle systems, magics etc.. Edited July 12, 2013 by tothecikpah
xxClouDxxmoon 901 Posted July 12, 2013 FF Characters I think are just another one of those main game things that the side games aren't known for.
Nathan Hatton 274 Posted July 12, 2013 Well, to be fair, it is a Disney licensed game that is developed by Square Enix. So the majority of Disney characters really shouldn't be that big of a surprise. I do hope to see some new FF characters in KH3 though!
MickeyTheMick 175 Posted July 12, 2013 (edited) Take into consideration if you put like a crapload of ff characters in there where are they going to go , because all the worlds are basically disney , you can't horde them in worlds like radiant garden and traverse town. I agree, they need more, but not a lot, we want to stay foucused with the actual plot Edited July 12, 2013 by MickeyTheMick

PrinceNoctis 1,011 Posted July 16, 2013 I hope KH3 fixes the FF problem. I hope it'll give us a FF world and more developpment on the characters from the franchise.
Lalalablah 1,538 Posted July 16, 2013 Overall I would say its Disney meets Square, and final fantasy just so happens to be apart of square enix.

_The Door To Light_ 1,507 Posted July 16, 2013 The FF touches are still there. But KH has expanded so much that it's becoming 'Disney meets Square Enix'. Not a bad thing though.
