Things have been more sluggish from time to time since the patch. Though the greatest slow down was at around 4PM GMT, when it hit midnight in Japan and people were probably logging in mass to get the daily log in reward. But I am not sure if your problems are caused by the patch, or increased traffic.

Its still pretty slow now. I had to refresh the page twice to log in. -__-

 

But the patch HELPS SO MUCH IN RAID BATTLES. I can do actual noticeable damage, and we have a better shot at killing it easier!

In my opinion with the current levels of participation, I have seen, it actually makes it feasible to win.  Which makes it not feel like a waste of effort, and this can be a good thing. Though I do agree they are too weak for if you actually have even half a team working together.
