tlozbj 74 Posted July 10, 2013 I know this sounds a bit crazy, but I thought I would share it. This was something that came to me like in 5 minutes after reading one of the most recent interviews with Nomura, but I'm a bit interested in this idea. Nomura recently said that Sora and the group doesn't know what or where is this "Key to Return Hearts", and that they are in a search for it and this will be a central part in the KH3 storyline. When I readed that I was still imagining the key could be the "Keyblade of People's Hearts" from KH1. But then that idea changed a bit, and found Sora as its focus. Sora is said to be the "key" who connects everything, is said to be able bring back all of those who are lost, and seems to be able to little by little heal Ventus's Heart. He also returned the hearts of all those worlds that were lost to the darkness when he defeat Ansem and closed the "Door" at the end of KH1. So in a big storm of a ideas, in like 5 minutes, I rapidly thought that the "Key" they are looking for is actually Sora. He is the one who bring back/return those hearts/people who have been lost, with his heart, with the help of Ansem's Research Data. He would be the "Key" to bring those hearts back, the "key" to connects everything, the "Key to Return Hearts". I know this sound crazy, but what do you guys think? 6 Oli, EternalReckoning, mosokisa and 3 others reacted to this
Dracozombie 4,554 Posted July 10, 2013 I don't think the matter will be that simple. If Sora himself is the one who'll save everyone, wouldn't his journey be one wild goose chase if it turned out the power he needed was with him all along? Oh sure, he could learn stuff along the way in true Kingdom Hearts fashion, but it would seem anti-climactic. I do believe Sora has a power to unite hearts that no one else has, but I think his journey would be finding something that let him unleash that power. It's an interesting thought, though, that Sora would literally be the key to unite everything. 3 Mr. Boba, Skai and tlozbj reacted to this
opinion 83 Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) It's an actual keyblade. It had to have existed before because how would anyone (probably yen sid) know about it and tell sora to look for it? ...and i loled at that. Edited July 10, 2013 by opinion
heyitsdeven 131 Posted July 10, 2013 No it's Riku. It's why he's immune to the darkness. ಠ◡ಠ 1 Skai reacted to this
Oishii 3,987 Posted July 10, 2013 I like this idea. We all know there is something about Sora that sets him apart from others and this would be one way to show that. But there would need to be something more to justify his journey, like Dracozombie said. 2 Skai and Mr. Boba reacted to this
tlozbj 74 Posted July 10, 2013 Well they don't where the "Key" is. Though seeing how Yen Sid is, he probably sended them in that journey, to awaken this power withing Sora. Sending him over many worlds, to awaken this power withing, looking for the "Key", while the "Key" have always been him, the "Key" is withing him, his heart being the key. This journey could take him to worlds where different types of people interact, where old meets new(Pocahontas with the Indians and the Spanish Men), worlds where the dreams that persons holds in their heart comes true(Black Cauldron?), along many others. Little by little showing the ways of the heart to Sora, till he awakens as the "Key" that connects it all, the "Key to Return Hearts". 2 mosokisa and Mr. Boba reacted to this
BlazingSoul 130 Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) Eraqus' Keyblade is the key that can open Castle Oblivion secrets, so that Sora can finally return his heart to Ventus, thus restoring Roxas too. Since Roxas had Ventus' heart, Ventus will have all of Roxas' memories too. Edited July 10, 2013 by BlazingSoul
awesomeinmyworld 268 Posted July 10, 2013 My thought process about the "Key" was a reverse of yours. I originally thought it was Sora, but then thought it was the Keyblade of Peoples' Hearts, but never rejecting that it could be Sora. Nomura talked about how Sora will be "transforming" his Keyblade, so maybe, Sora's new journey will end up transforming his Keyblade to the Key to Return Hearts. 1 tlozbj reacted to this
Hazimie 1,595 Posted July 10, 2013 It would be a LMAO of wild goose chase....
UltimateStriker 30 Posted July 10, 2013 It would be too easy if that was the answer. Nomura knows how to blow our minds with shit we had no clue was coming, and i feel this is something we can't really predict
DarknessOrLight 32 Posted July 11, 2013 It's an actual keyblade. It had to have existed before because how would anyone (probably yen sid) know about it and tell sora to look for it? ...and i loled at that. Nomura said in his most recent interview that it may not be a physical Key/Keyblade. I honestly do not think it will be.

PrinceNoctis 1,011 Posted July 17, 2013 It doesn't sound crazy at all...I thought it was pretty obvious.
Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted July 17, 2013 (edited) Not crazy. In fact it's obvious, predictable and a little bit cliched. Which is exactly why Nomura won't do it. Personally I think it would be cool if Sora was the Key, But I can settle for the Key being something only he can use. Besides, Sora is supposed to be a "normal boy" although, I think that ship sailed a long time ago. Edited July 17, 2013 by Isamu_Kuno
Gregory Cloninger 2 Posted April 9, 2014 Sora has shown a power to reach out to people in a way that seems supernatural. It may be that this whole journey he is on is the path needed to unlock the greatest light within himself, maybe even the light of Kingdom Hearts, in a way. Also, has anyone considered the potential that Kingdom Hearts may not be a place or object, but rather a person? A conduit of the hallowed light that birthed all worlds? KH4Real 749 Posted April 9, 2014 It might be Eraqus keyblade. Sora is indeed predictable or to easy.
