FireRubies1 1,325 Posted July 9, 2013 From What I know the FF titles are completely unrelated? Except for sequels (X, X-2) (XIII, XIII-2, Lightning Returns) As for games I wouldn't know o3o I didn't really feel great with the first 2, but if you like games that don't hold your hand as much they're good.......... Robin 206 Posted July 9, 2013 if you want to start off i'd probably go for 4, 6 they've got a good storyline and gameplay if you're going for the older style and then try 1,2,3,5, if you're going for the newer style I'd start with 7,9 or 10 and then try 8 and 12 and 13 because their game play is a little different AND GET PUMPED FOR 15!!!!!! 1 EternalReckoning reacted to this

Silvia Kuroi 1,480 Posted July 9, 2013 If you're talking about the main Final Fantasy's (The ones that use plain roman numerals) then you can play them however you want. None of them are connected in any way, so you could play IX before IV, and you wouldn't have a problem. If you have a PlayStation console (Perhaps a PSP) then you pretty much have access all the way up to Final Fantasy IX through retail games or the online store. Of course, there's a lot of spin-offs, some of them based on Final Fantasy games (Dissidia, XII Revenant Wings, etc.). But it's probably more recommended to play the actual numerical games first, before diving into any spin-offs.
venxas24 544 Posted July 9, 2013 They aren't related to each other unless it says the number and a subtitle or something like X-2 and XIII-2. I've only played 1,3,4,10,12, and 13 and they're all pretty awesome but totally unrelated
