I decided to make a thread to post all my creations using photoshop. Just to see how I'm progressing and to hear your opinions, ect.

 

#1:

Very first one. Umm I like bg a little. The black and white Kairi is a little bland and the text is hard to see.

 

#2:

I remade it using a colored picture of Kairi this time. It's kinda dark, but you can read the text now. i was playing with some effects and I really dont know what I did to Kairi ._. The size is good

 

#3:

Attempt at coloring a black and white picture. Accidental white spots, messy bg. Though I was focusing on mostly the coloring, so the bg of course came out horrible Dx

 

#4:

Attempt at making an avvy. WAY too big, the text that says Namine wasn't neccessary because you really cant see it ._. The colors I like. The <3 is kind of distracting.

 

#5:

Another attempt at making an avvy (made this one for Zer0). I like the colors. The contrast is good. Kind of simple. WAY too big yet again.

 

#6:

yet another avvy (I fail) This one was for Jorge (blackshot21). Still WAY TOO BIG! Gah, I fail ._.

 

#7:

As you can see, I realy enjoy using the brush tool. I need more inspiration and creativity ._. I kind of like the font I chose. Not the color.

 

#8:

Still overly simple. Not any better than before. I think I'm getting worse ._. The text is kind of distracting. The colors go well with Aqua though.

 

#9:

Finally got the size right... I think. Again i tried coloring a black and white picture. It looks better than the first time. I actually like it. The colors are pretty. It's kind of bad quality though.

OwO Those are awesome!!! I'd recommend having the text blend in more with the background. But most of all, just be creative and have fun with it

All your doing is taking images and changing colours/adding circles/ text.

You should try other things too. Good starting though.

i also lahv #7 so I think you choose amazing stock/images to edit - but I agree with Clue; try doing something other than circles. & maybe don't stretch the images? Idk but they're really cool ^^ 8P

Your current signature is not terrible. I think the stock could have been darker, but you are just new to Photoshop and you will improve with working on techniques to make your stock/renders stand out. The text placement is not that bad on your current on, but the dots are just being overused lately. Try to look through more tutorials for different effects and try to look for brushes. :]
