[/align][align=left] After dinner Xion visited Roxas in his room. He was reading a book when he saw her come in.

"Oh! Hey Xion!" he said happily.

Xion smiled, "Hey Roxas..." she said said softly.

"You wanna talk about it?" he asked.

She looked at Roxas with a surprised look. "What do you mean?"

"About what happened... I know its bothering you."

"Its on your mind too?"

"Yeah..."

Xion sat down on Roxas' bed, "I can't believe we did that..."

"Yeah me neither." he said, with a sort of edge in his voice.

"It was like someone else's feelings had taken over me..."

Roxas looked surprised, "Really?! Because thats the same thing that happened to me!"

"Really?" she asked.

Then that feeling took over them again.

Roxas' mind was telling him not to do this and not get any closer. So was Xion's, but their bodies didn't respond.

Xion's eyes shut just as they had done before as she neared closer, then it happened again... Roxas kissed her. Instinct was telling them to pulled away from each other, but nothing happened. It was exactly the same as last time. His arms wrapped around her and her fingers went through his golden hair. But this time it didn't stop... They fell down on the bed and paused for a second. The feeling wasn't going away. They couldn't think straight, or control themselves. It was actually like they were someone else and they could only feel what they were feeling. They hugged and kissed again.

Then a huge wave of water sent them flying into a wall. It was Demyx and he looked quite shocked.

"Wha-what are you two doing?!" he practically screamed.

Xion's voice was panicked, "NO! It's not what you think!"

Then Saix walked into the room.

"What's going on?" he asked calmly.

Demyx whispered in his ear.

Saix gasped as he moved over and grabbed both Xion and Roxas by their hoods and dragged them along.

 

He brought them to the Altar of Naught, where Xemnas was staring at the sky.

"Lord Xemnas," he spoke, "I have bad news for you."

Xemnas turned around, his face expressionless as always, "Whatever could be wrong?" he asked.

Saix took a deep breath and said, "These two were...Kissing..."

There was a pause and a awkward silence... Then Xemnas spoke again, "Kissing? Why were you two kissing?" he asked calmly.

Roxas answered for Xion, "It was like someone else's feelings had taken over us... We couldn't control her actions, so we couldn't do anything about it..."

"Oh! In that case I will let you off with a warning. Try to control yourselves next time ok?"

"Yes sir!" Xion answered.

The two walked off in silence.

Saix looked exasperated. "Why did you let them go!?"

"What they are saying is true..."

"It is?"

"Yes, remember what I told you about the hero?"

"Oh, i get it now." Saix said with a smirk.

 

"That was really close!" Roxas said, sighing.

Xion looked at him, "You got that right, but I do wonder why he let us go."

Roxas looked down, "Yeah, I really thought he would kill us."

Xion smiled, "Well he didn't and thats what matters."

Roxas nodded, "Yeah, night Xion I'm gonna go to bed."

"Night!"

Roxas turned for his room and walked away.

 

The next morning, when Roxas walked into the lobby, Xion went up to him.

"Hey have to leave early today ok?"

"Alright."

Xion stepped into a dark corridor and disappeared.

Then Saix called out, "Roxas your mission will be heart collection in Twilight Town."

"Ok." Roxas opened up a dark corridor as well and walked off.

 

Twilight Town was quiet (as usual). Roxas did his normal rounds of collecting hearts for the day. And after a big and tough day he was about to head home without eating ice cream. He thought about Axel being gone and probably never going to be coming back. A big lump in his throat formed as he thought.

"Maybe he really is gone..."

Then one more heartless showed up. As Roxas took it out he heard a voice, a voice he knew.

"Yeah Roxas lets go! Fight fight fight!"

He turned around... Axel was standing right there!

"A-Axel?!" Roxas asked, extremely surprised.

"Yo Roxas, whatsup?" he said calmly.

"Whatsup!? Thats all you have to say?!"

Axel gave Roxas a confused look, "Uh... Yeah."

"They told me that all the C.O. members were wiped out!"

"CORRECTION!," Axel yelled, "Only the weaklings got wiped out! Not me.

"Roxas looked down, "You had me worried..."

"Worried? As if you had the heart to."

They both laughed a little. Axel was right, they were Nobodies, they had no hearts. Therefor they could not feel emotion. But that wasn't the case for Roxas, a lot of people knew that.

Roxas smiled, "I'll go and get some ice cream!"

As he ran towards the ice cream shop in the plaza, the big lump in his throat disappeared....

 

End of Chapter 8.

[/align][align=left][/align]Roxas hadn't eaten ice cream with Axel for some time now, but he did eat it with Xion every one in a while.... Xion!!! How was he going to tell Axel about Xion?!!??! Then Axel started to talk.

"Ah! I don't want to report in!"

Roxas was surprised, "You haven't reported in!? Aren't you supposed to do that first?"

"Well yeah, but for me nope!"

"Why?" Roxas asked.

"Well because I wanted to have ice cream with my buddy Roxas!"

Roxas smiled, "You know Xion and I are friends now and we come up here sometimes."

Axel's smile fadded a little, "You do?"

"Yeah," he sighed he had to tell him sooner or later, "And I think we maybe are more than friends now..."

"You mean "Best Friends"?"

"No..."

Axel looked down, he was thinking... Then his head snapped up and he stared at Roxas with his mouth hanging open,

"Y-you don't mean-!"

"Yeah we are..."

Axel's mouth still was open and his eyes were wide,

"Man! I didn't know you would do this now... Or ever..."

Roxas looked at him suspiciously,

"You saying I'm not up for it, or are you jelous because Larxene turned you down!?"

"N-No! How did you know about that?!!?"

Roxas gave Axel a sly smile,

"I have my sources... Xigbar likes to tell me things hehe."

"W-why you!"

"Hahahahahaha," Roxas laughed, "Just kidding!"

Axel laughed too a little then gave Roxas a playful punch on the arm,

"You suck."

They both laughed again, until Roxas said softly,

"W-we kissed..."

Axel was still really shocked by the whole thing,

"She always has her hood down right?" he asked randomly.

"Nope not anymore, well at least not when I'm around her. She has short black hair..."

"She sounds nice..."

"She is.. Roxas said as they watched the sunset.

 

Axel was unpacking his things when suddenly a voice asked,

"Why didn't you report in?"

[/align][align=left]After hours, and hours of searching, Roxas and Axel had searched almost the whole town looking for Xion. Until they had finally come to the forest right outside the walls of the Tram Common. It led to the abandoned mansion. As they were walking through the woods Roxas felt a strange presence then a leaf fell on his head. Axel looked at the tree,

"Roxas!" he whispered. Roxas looked at him strangely,

"What?"

"Shhhhh! Be quiet, listen... Do you hear that?"

Roxas listened, it was quiet, "I don't hear anything Axel."

"That's the point.... Its too quiet..." Axel looked around and finally said, "Strike that tree..."

"Uh why?" Roxas asked.

"Just do it!"

"Alright, alright! sheesh."

Roxas smacked the tree with his keyblade. Then a loud rustling sound came from above. They saw a large shadow moving along the treetops toward the mansion.

"Don't let it get away!" Axel yelled.

Roxas ran toward the mansion.

 

To Roxas' surprise the giant heartless was a giant lizard! Then it disappeared and then reappeared in another spot.

"So thats why Xion hasn't come back yet! It keeps disappearing!" Axel yelled.

"So then where is she?!" Roxas yelled back.

"Probably still out trying to find it!"

Roxas charged at the heartless with his keyblade at the ready and jumped up high into the air. The heartless disappeared again and went off in some other direction and Roxas fell flat on his stomach. The heartless then reappeared again and then shot its long tongue at Roxas. It picked him up and threw him into the mansion's main gate.

"Roxas!" Axel shouted.

Roxas got to his knees, stunned. He put his hand on his head to find out he had a cut that was bleeding, but it wasn't bad. He stood up shook his head and then ran back into the clearing.

Axel struck the heartless and so did Roxas.

Just then a figure ran into the clearing, it was Xion!"

"Xion?!" Roxas called out.

Looking at him in surprise, she yelled, "Roxas?!'

The heartless unleashed it's tongue yet again and hit Xion square in the face.

"Xion!" Roxas yelled again. He turned to the heartless, jumped up, and brought his keyblade down in a vicious slice. The heartless roared and faded into darkness, releasing a large sparkling heart into the air.

Roxas ran over to Xion, who was on the ground.

"Are you ok?" he asked, sounding extremely worried.

"Can you move?" Axel asked as well.

Xion winced and said softly, "Roxas... Is that you?"

"Yeah," he smiled, "I'm here..."

He helped her up, "That looked like it hurt..." Roxas said flatly.

Xion looked up at the cut on Roxas' head, "Roxas, your forehead..."

Roxas was just really aware that the cut was there.

"Oh this? I'm fine don't worry."

Axel interrupted, "Sorry but this really isn't the best place to talk, lets go to the clock tower and get some ice cream.

 

The ice cream.. As always was sea salt. It never got old even though they ate it basically everyday. And the same with the view from the clock tower, it only got more amazing. Roxas had a band-aid on his head where the heartless had cut him.

"So why did it take you so long to get the heartless Xion?" Roxas asked.

She looked down and frowned, "I-I can't use the keyblade anymore.."

Axel and Roxas both gasped, "Really? I'm sorry!" Roxas said, trying to comfort her.

Axel smiled, "Awwwwwww, so you really do like each other!"

Xion looked at him in surprise, "You know about that?!"

"Yep, Roxas told me."

She turned to Roxas, "Why did you tell him?"

Roxas shrugged, "Well because he's my friend."

"Friend... Hmmm.... Axel?"

Axel looked at her, "What?"

"D-do you think we could be friends too?"

Axel smiled, "Well of course! Any friend of Roxas is a friend of mine!"

"Thank you Axel..."

"Eat your ice cream!" Axel said embarrassed.

The three then laughed together.

For once Axel could see Xion's face clearly, she looked like someone he knew...

"Honestly...." Axel pointed out, "I think you and Roxas are a great couple!"

Roxas made a face, "Hey!"

He pat Roxas' head, "You've got the attractive hair!"

They all laughed again... An then watched the sunset

[/align][align=left][/align]The next few days were completely out of control! Mission after mission after mission, there was never an end was there? Roxas was so tired that he slept in on day and when he was JUST starting to fall back asleep, Xion came barging into the room.

"I don't know what to do!!! I'm such a FAILER!!!!" she wailed.

Roxas rubbed his eyes and shook his head,

"Wait what? Slow down a bit.... What happened?"

"Its that I can't use the keyblade anymore! They're gonna find out if I fail anymore missons, and they'll turn me into a dusk!!! What do I do?!?!"

"Hey! Hey calm down! I'll think of something!".

Then, hearing all the comotion Axel came into the room.

"I heard yelling. What's wrong?".

Roxas looked at Axel. His face was beat red. He sighed.

"Xion isn't doing well on her missions ans so she's afraid that if the other members find out they'll turn her into a dusk.".

Axel crossed his arms... He was thinking.

"Hmmmmmmm.... Ah wait!" he yelled.

He gathered both Xion and Roxas into a huddle and whispered,

"Roxas! What if you worked double time?"

"Double time?"

"Yeah! You and Xion will go on missions together and Roxas will do all the work!"

Roxas frowned, "Well Axel that seems like a simply GREAT idea considering that I've worked my BUTT off on my missions now, and adding more work sounds amazingly fun!"

"But it's probably the only thing that would work!"

"No! I won't do it."

Xion gave Roxas her best puppy dog face and begged,

"Please Roxas!! For me?"

Roxas tried to ignore the face but he gave in...

"Grrrrrrrrrr........ Fine...." he muttered.

"Xion hugged him, "Thank you Roxas!!!"

"Your welcome....... But you owe me BIG time!"

Xion nodded, "Of course!"

Axel clapped his hands, "Perfect! They won't be able to tell the difference if you two are together!"

Roxas sighed.

 

"Why would I let you two go on misssions?! Just so you two can make-out again? No I won't allow it!" Sa
